Full Circle

Summary:

Choi Seungcheol (S.Coups of Seventeen), who, after retiring from being a K-pop idol, embarks on a heartfelt search for his long-lost English teacher, Beth, who once inspired and supported him during his trainee days. Beth had left Korea years ago to pursue her dream of studying ceramics in New Zealand, eventually becoming a celebrated artist whose moonjar, “Fullmoon,” gained recognition from the Korean government and was displayed at HYBE headquarters.

By fate, Seungcheol visits New Zealand and stumbles upon Beth’s pottery studio, not realizing she’s the artist behind the moonjar he admired for years. Their unexpected reunion rekindles memories and feelings from the past, leading them to rediscover their connection—not just as teacher and student, but as two individuals whose paths were always meant to cross again.

The story is about love, destiny, following dreams, and finding your way back to the people who left a mark on your heart.

Chapter 1: The Beginning of the Search

Chapter Text

Years ago, when Choi Seungcheol was still a rookie in Seventeen, their agency arranged private English lessons for the members. Their teacher, Ms. Beth, was kind, patient, and had a smile that made even the toughest grammar lesson feel like a breeze.

But one day, without warning, she left. All Seungcheol heard was that she’d moved to New Zealand to pursue something new. He never got to say goodbye.

Years passed. Seventeen conquered stages, released albums, traveled the world. But no matter how busy he was, Seungcheol sometimes wondered what had become of her.

When Seventeen finally held their farewell concert — their retirement as idols— Seungcheol felt both relief and emptiness. He had given his youth to music. Now, he wanted to find what he never dared to chase before.

“I want to visit New Zealand,” he told his bandmates quietly. They didn’t ask why. They just smiled.

A few weeks later, he stood in a quiet town outside Auckland, wandering the streets, not really knowing where to start. Until he stumbled upon a small pottery studio named "Full Moon.” Something about the name pulled him in.

Inside, the scent of clay and glaze filled the air. And at the wheel, shaping a beautiful moonjar, was a familiar figure.

“Ms. Beth?” he whispered, almost not believing.

She turned, her eyes widening in surprise — then softening into a smile he hadn’t seen in years.

“Seungcheol?” she laughed, standing up, wiping her hands. “It’s been so long.”

In that quiet studio, across oceans and years, something unspoken passed between them.

“I’ve been looking for you,” he admitted softly.

She tilted her head, her smile deepening. “Looks like you’ve found me.”

And just like that, the story of their next chapter began — not in a classroom, not under stage lights, but under the gentle glow of a New Zealand moon.
