Chapter Text
“Stop! Wait plea-”
Thud.
I didn’t expect him to actually stop, and definitely not that quickly. I basically faceplanted into his back, which, at the speed I was going, at felt like hitting my head with cement. The recoil hit me like I was a tennis ball. I stumbled back and barely stopped myself from falling down. Thank goodness, I was able to grab onto something before I completely embarrassed myself. I steaded myself just in time by clutching onto… oh, dude. Gross. It’s an open garbage bin.
I almost gag in my mouth when I look at the I don’t even want to know what on my hand. When I look up, he’s already turned all the way around, arms crossed. The mask doesn’t do much to disguise his impatience, and even though he doesn’t say anything, I can tell that he’s waiting for me to get on with it. Okay. Breathe. Elevator Pitch this thing. I look at my hand with the mystery garbage goop on it and I wipe it on my jeans, trying to focus.
“Hi. My name is Samara Acharyi. I want to work with you.”
