Work Text:
The first sensation Izuku was aware of was one he was, unfortunately, familiar with. That being the light slaps on his cheek from a giant musclebound blonde man with a blinding but still very uplifting smile plastered onto his face.
"OH! GOOD! YOU'RE UP. YOU HAD ME WORRIED AGAIN YOUNG MIDORIYA!" the man, All Might, bellowed while straightening up, pulling Izuku back to his feet as he rose to stand with him. "FOR A SECOND I WAS WORRIED THAT YOUR BODY WAS REJECTING OUR QUIRK AND I WAS *THIS CLOSE*" he said, holding his thumb and index finger as close to each other as possible without touching "TO TAKING YOU TO SEE A CLOSE FRIEND OF MINE WHO ALSO HAPPENS TO BE A PHENOMENAL PHYSICIAN! HOW ARE YOU FEELING NOW MY BOY?"
Still a bit groggy Izuku shook his head to clear it, looking around at the freshly cleaned beach before focussing back onto his mentor's face. "Ah... I-I'm fine All Might, sorry for worrying you. I just felt really tired all of a sudden and couldn't stop myself from passing out in the middle of stretching."
He almost missed the whisper of "Wow! The beach looks as good as I remember." But years of paranoia from bullying had him whipping around searching for whoever had shown up, mind already whirring into action trying to explain why he was here with the number one hero or to force himself to run and hide... okay it was most likely going to be the second option, screw you he was used to running away from strangers!
His behavior had alerted his idol into vigilance as well, scanning the entire beach but finding nothing he looked back to his successor "ARE YOU FEELING OKAY YOUNG MIDORIYA? YOU LOOK LIKE YOU JUST HEARD A GUNSHOT." he said, concern easily identifiable in his tone and etched onto his face.
"AH! S-sorry again All Might but d-did you not hear that voi-" Izuku started trying to explain his reaction and to ask for confirmation that he wasn't just hearing things when he cut himself off. Not because he didn't want to sound crazy in front of the World's Greatest Hero but because they were no longer on the beach.
All Might, having also noticed their change of location reached out to pull Izuku closer to his side, eyes rapidly taking in details about where they'd ended up. It seemed to be a large... auditorium? An elevated stage in front of them with a single podium standing front and center. Continuing with his quick investigation he noted just how large the room was, comparable to the rooms UA used for lectures and the Entrance Exams but without the tiered seating, more like a school gym really.
"IS ANYONE HERE? CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN WHERE MY STUDENT AND I ARE?" All Might called out in his booming voice still on high alert for a possible ambush and keeping a hand on his charge's shoulder. The two of them spun in place when someone actually answered.
"You can calm down. Neither of you are in any danger. I've brought you here to help you in the only way someone like me is allowed to do so. Please hold your questions while I bring in the others, this shouldn't take longer than a few minutes." Now they knew where to look they saw the young man that had just spoken to them.
He looked fairly normal, on the tall side but still shorter than All Might, average build with medium length dark brown hair not styled but not too unruly either. Wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans with a pair of black sneakers. He had a look of concentration on his face while staring at a sheet of paper he was holding and muttering under his breath too low for them to hear even as they moved cautiously closer. Something that did jump out at them though was that his eyes were glowing a bit and rapidly changing colors. Before they could begin to speculate any more about the man he looked up from the sheet of paper with a gentle smile.
"Perfect. No one on the list is currently driving or would otherwise be inconvenienced when I return you all to your world." he said, instantly causing their face to pale.
"OUR WORLD?!!!" Izuku/All Might shouted in distress.
"Yes yes, your world, don't get all hung up on the details I'll answer your questions soon." he said while waving his hand dismissively. "Before they get here however I'm going to let you two know something." he paused as his voice gained a serious tone that threatened to bring shivers down Izuku's spine and prompted a bad feeling from All Might "I'm bringing in only trustworthy people. Of everyone being brought here only four of the young ones and two, possibly three, of the adults have ever given me reasons to dislike them. Part of me doesn't want to bring the grape head but he is salvageable in your world." the man paused again to grumble under his breath about 'not wanting to deal with that little pervert' which cause more worry and confusion for the other two people present. "Anyway. Everyone that I'm bringing in can be trusted with your big secret." Both Izuku and All Might jumped back and were opening their mouths to begin shouting at the man but he just held his hands up and continued "Your insistence" he said, pointing at All Might "at keeping the secret from the people I'll be bringing in actively put little Izuku in danger in your near future!"
This accusation cause All Might to deflate and cough out a disturbing amount of blood while wearing a horrified expression on his face "WHAT? How? I would never put Izuku in danger!" he shouted back at the man, wanting answers.
"I'll show you! Now you may want to bulk up again for introductions. I'm helping you keep your transformation up longer but only until we get the exposition covered." he said with a glare at the skeletal form of All Might, prompting him to buff back into his muscle form, none too soon as they were suddenly surrounded by a few dozen people.
It was, predictably, chaos. People shouting at each other and in some cases at no one in particular, thankfully it didn't devolve any further as a sharp cracking noise rang out and echoed around the room, surprising everyone enough to stop all chatter. It did, however, also set every hero, by profession or nature, on edge looking around for the source of the noise and preparing for a possible threat.
"Apologies for the noise, particularly for the Jirous and the Shojis. If you could all gather round up here so that I don't need to shout to be heard by everyone that would be fantastic and appreciated by those with sensitive hearing." the man said, setting a gavel back down onto the podium.
Naturally no one moved closer or at all really except for a small mammal of, to most, indeterminate species. Before anyone else could say or do anything though "Villain! Hands up where I can see them and stand still while I detain you!" called out a voice most were familiar with but didn't particularly want to be near the body attached to it. Endeavor marched towards the man standing by the podium, expression on his face promising violence if he didn't comply. The flames wreathing his face and costume growing in intensity in a clear showing of just how ready he was for this to turn into a fight.
Which only made him freezing in place with his flames going out in a puff of smoke that much more surprising, or depending on who you asked, funnier.
"Nope. Not dealing with Mr. I compensate for my shitty personality by hitting everything and everyone." prompting a short laugh from a boy with two toned white and red hair "Ah, there you are Shoto. Now I know where not to put Mt. St. Asshole."
"You are now my fourth favorite person." the now named Shoto said with a deadpan expression.
"Thanks!" the man replied, waving his hand and moving the still frozen but obviously intensely angry Endeavor to the other side of the crowd, right next to a man that looked like a hobo with no ability to sleep. "I'll wear that title as a badge of honor." he said, shooting a grin over to the boy who now looked a little surprised and confused but generally okay with what was happening. "Now. To address the elephant in the room. I am not a villain. I am not even from your world."
The entire room let out a gasp at that, with several people whispering to the people beside them about aliens. "That's not entirely accurate," he said, causing the conspiracy theorists to slump their shoulders "I used to be human, grew up on Earth and everything!" which garnered more looks of confusion. "I did indeed grow up on Earth. Just not *your* Earth."
"I KNEW IT!" shouted two young ladies, Izuku, and the small mammal who had finally reached the front of the group before continuing "Multiverse Theory is real!" Most of the crowd were looking around confused but those in the know had their eyes opened to comical proportions.
"Indeed it is! But that's hardly why I brought you here. I am one of the many 'Watchers'. We observe the multiverse for abnormalities and, if necessary, correct them. Yes Nezu, that is why I am here." Nezu the chimera frowned, joy at having evidence of Multiverse Theory escaping in light of the ramifications of why they were here. "In about seven months your version of Japan is going to hell in a hand basket in a war primarily centered around these two."
The lights dimmed in the room while a spotlight shown down on All Might and Izuku, who was now very nervous and actively trying to hide behind the bulk of his mentor, who was still processing the words of the 'watcher'.
"Don't worry Izuku, no one here is going to hurt you on my watch." the Watcher said, causing almost the entire room to give the boy confused looks as he stepped out from behind the giant he was hiding behind. Almost everyone.
"IZUKU/DEKU!!!" Three voices called out, two in concern and one in fury before the sounds of explosions rang out as a very angry blonde boy launched himself towards the green haired target of his ire. He didn't get very far though before he got the same treatment as Endeavor. Meanwhile two women ran up to Izuku to make sure he was okay, one clearly his mother and the other an aged up gender-bent copy of the boy who just tried attacking him.
"Don't know why I didn't expect the explosive Pomeranian to attack Izuku on sight. He only does it literally whenever they're in the same room together." the Watcher groused, instantly setting off red flags for everyone else, especially the teachers. "Back to the reason you're all here." he continued when his audience was paying attention again "Back to the war bit. You see there is going to be a major conflict with three major factions involved."
"First is you all. The heroes and to some extent the civilians." All of the heroes grew large frowns at the idea and implications of civilians being involved in a war in any capacity.
"Second are the 'League of Villains'" Nezu and the hobo looking man each raised an eyebrow at this one, seemingly having heard of the group.
"Third are the 'New Meta Liberation Army'." This one got a snarl from everyone in the room.
"That terrorist group still has sympathizers?" came a question from a relatively tall (if you count the ears) woman with dark brown skin and long white hair with rabbit ears in place of normal ears wearing a white and purple leotard.
"Unfortunately yes Miruko, they do. Though in this case almost all of the followers have been indoctrinated using a rewritten version of Destro's book that the current leader, Destro's descendant and chairman of Detnerat, put together with his own ideas. Primarily that 'Meta Abilities' should be unregulated and the ones with powerful quirks should rule everyone else" The Watcher paused to be sure people were still listening.
"Due to a ploy by All Might's nemesis" the room froze as All Might began radiating blood lust... which was ignored by the Watcher "All For One, the young leader of the LoV took over all of the MLA's military might and renamed themselves the 'Paranormal Liberation Front'. This meant that you heroes were facing all of the residents of Deika City, the enemy commanders, and the LoV all at once. The war and the battles after it devastated Japan and caused a worldwide panic. Even after your forces were victorious the world was never the same."
The room devolved into hushed conversations for several minutes before a tall man in a business suit stood up and spoke to the Watcher.
"Thank you for the information, it will go a long way to helping prevent all of that from occurring. I have two main questions though if you don't mind indulging me?" Sir Nighteye asked and received a nod from the Watcher. "First question. When does this war happen? Secondly, you mentioned it revolved around these two" he waved to indicate All Might and Izuku" but you never explained why."
There was another burst of murmurs through the crowd at this before the Watcher stood up to answer the question, having sat down during the previous group discussion.
"As to the when, the opening act of the war happens during the second round of Izuku's year's work studies." Inko slapped her hand over her son's mouth as she could tell he was going to scream about getting into UA.
After confirming Izuku's age the heroes all gathered together to discuss possible countermeasures they could take, most having forgotten about the second question... most did not include a certain worried mother who decided she had waited long enough to find out what her sweet baby boy had to do with a war.
"Excuse me Mr. Watcher?" Inko began "You haven't explained how my son is involved in a war. I don't understand how he could possibly be a part of one."
The room went silent again, the people having remembered there was still a question to answer. The Watcher radiated a calm disinterest as he answered "Ah yes, you want to know how a war could possibly involve your quirkless son." he said, getting several gasps from the crowd and a panicked look from both mother and child. "Honestly, you people and your assumptions that you can't do anything without a quirk, it's infuriating!" he finished with a scowl as he began pacing.
"I know none of you have seen him do it but little Izuku here has just finished cleaning Takoba Municipal Beach Park of nearly five hundred thousand metric tons of scrap and garbage by hand in ten months. He pushed, lifted, and carried several vehicles of various sizes over and through sand! He lifted a family sized sedan over his head and carried it up the stairs over to the garbage drop off! He did this without a quirk. He's honestly terrifying compared to most of you!"
Everyone in the room froze and slowly turned to stare at a currently beet red Izuku doing his best to appear as small as possible under the collective gaze of dozens. Other than All Might no one else could believe this timid child could do these things.
"You don't believe me eh? Kindly turn you eyes to the screen here!" the Watcher said, indicating a large screen no one had noticed before.
What followed was a ten minute montage of Izuku's clean up efforts as he picked up progressively heavier garbage ending in a real time section where everyone watched the boy essentially dead-lift a car and carry it over his head up the stairs and half a block down the street to the drop off location where it joined five others and a small truck. The Izuku on screen dropped the car on top of another one allowing them to hear the crunch of metal crushing metal and took a dew deep breaths before turning around and grabbing another car off the beach. The video sped back up until it got to the end where a shirtless Izuku was seen shouting at the top of his lungs on top of a pile of garbage in the drop off zone overlooking a pristine beach. You didn't need to squint to see that the boy was absolutely ripped. Every muscle prominently visible on his arms, legs, and torso. The screen returned to black.
The room was silent again, all occupants staring incredulously at the young man they'd just watched do the impossible. The silence droned on until is was shattered by a boisterous laugh.
"HA HA HA! YOUNG MIDORIYA I KNEW YOU COULD DO IT! I KNOW I TOLD YOU THIS BEFORE BUT I AM PROUD OF YOU FOR EXCEEDING MY EXPECTATIONS AND CLEANING OUTSIDE OF WHERE I TOLD YOU TO. I'VE MISSED SEEING THE BEACH CLEAN LIKE THAT FOR SO VERY LONG!" All Might boomed, hands on his hips, head tilted back to laugh.
All Might continued to laugh while the crowd attempted to figure out how the man was related to the boy they just watched tell physics to fuck off, two young men shouting 'MANLY!' over and over.
"It's good that most of you understand how capable Izuku is without a quirk. It's going to make the rest of this even better!" the Watcher said, a shit-eating grin stretched across his face "For the answer though we're missing a few people who seem to think I can't hear them!" With a snap of his fingers seven new people showed up on the stage to the confusion of all but four people in the crowd.
"Master?..." All Might's jaw nearly reached the floor.
"Nana?!" A short old man shouted, eyes bulged out and mouth hanging open, disbelief clear on his face.
"Shimura-san?" Nezu exclaimed. Beady eyes fixed on the lone woman on the stage.
"IS THAT MAVERICK?!!" shouted Miruko, currently channeling an amount of fangirling only Izuku could match. "Oh my god! I thought you died! How do you look so young?" Questions began pouring out of the rabbit hero's mouth at a rate that impressed even Izuku.
The seven figures stood there startled, eyes darting around the room, visibly shaken with what was happening. One of them finally broke their group's silence, he was a man of average height but an incredibly thin and sickly build. His head covered in long, messy white hair with piercing green eyes. "How is this possible? I can feel the air and I think I'm breathing?" He reached a hand up to his chest "My heart is beating!!!" He and his six companions' eyes opened wide as they began patting themselves over.
The rest of the room was brought back to silence, it didn't take a genius to figure out that these seven were dead... emphasis on 'were' after that outburst. Slowly people began turning back to the Watcher for answers.
"Yes, yes, you're alive Huzzah! Now shut up so I can finally get to why I brought you all here other than to tell you about the war. I also need to answer the other question but you are all involved in the answer too so I brought you here for context."
The Watcher adopted what could only be described as a manic grin. Deep within the group of young teenagers a pink and invisible girl suddenly felt a disturbance in the Tea. In the front of the group Nezu mirrored the smile on the Watcher's face, his quirk boosted brain putting some of the pieces together as a picture of a future where a holder of OFA finally had a full support system seemed inevitable.
"The reason little Izuku here is involved in and in fact is a key player in the war and the battles that come after it is that thirty seconds before I brought you all here Yagi Toshinori, or as most of you know him All Might, gave Izuku his quirk." He stepped back, materialized a comfy chair and sat down elbows supported by his knees and palms holding up his chin, smile widening as he prepared to watch the shit-storm he just unleashed.
Shit storm didn't cover it. There was pandemonium in the room with most people screaming about impossibilities, others shouting at the number one hero for abandoning them to a teenager, and some shouting questions at Izuku about how it felt while his mother and 'aunty' Mitsuki tried to shield him from the advancing crowd. That all stopped however when Sir Nighteye slapped All Might across the face. His own sporting a look of pure rage, almost crazed in it's intensity.
"You gave the most powerful quirk on the planet to a fifteen year old quirkless nobody! I told you I had already found you a successor but you refused to listen to reason!" He turned his scowl to Izuku and continued "Giving One For All to you was a mistake! You will give the quirk to Mirio this instant so that he can begin mastering it to be ready to replace All Might before he kills himself from overwork!" Sir Nighteye shouted, volume increasing the longer he spoke, spit flying from his mouth as he started looking more deranged by the second.
The Watcher cleared his throat, gathering everyone's attention once again. "Yeah I'm gonna stop you there Sir Nightdouche" said hero balked at this "Togata Mirio will not be getting One For All. Not now and not in the future. Before you get your business suit in a bunch let me explain jackass." the previously enraged hero was now sufficiently cowed after remembering the things the Watcher had already demonstrated towards those that disturbed him. "If you did manage to force Izuku to give Mirio OFA, and the vestiges" he gestured to the seven still on stage with him "as well as Mirio himself all agreed to the transfer, spoiler alert none of them would, all you would have accomplished is killing Mirio."
Murmurs broke out again even as all of the blood drained from Nighteye's face.
"And again, before you start shooting your mouth off about science you don't understand allow me to elaborate." Now the Watcher had the undivided attention of the intellectuals in the crowd. "The human body, except in very specific circumstances, cannot hold more than one quirk. The quirks would rapidly age and corrode the body" he pointed to the tall man with the odd facial scars on stage with him "which is how Shinomori Hikage here died. He passed away at the age of forty of old age because his body couldn't handle holding his own quirk, Danger Sense, along with One For All." The scarred man nodded but didn't respond.
"Not to mention" the Watcher continued after giving the crowd time to process the knowledge he just gave out "One For All and Permeation function in exact opposite ways." Nighteye's eyes widened, obviously coming to his own conclusion now with the hint. "Permeation has to be applied in sections over the body to get the best use out of it. One For All has to be applied evenly across all of the body at once to lighten the load of all of the raw power it gives to it's wielder. You would have doomed Mirio to a very short career as a very mediocre hero." the Watcher finished and Nighteye fell to his knees, tears flowing down his face.
"Anyway, on to the primary reason I brought you all here." No one moved to help the distraught hero back to his feet, not even Mirio who was staring at his mentor with an unreadable expression until he turned back to their host. "You see I want to help you all and I'd like to share something with all of you. As I mentioned I am not the only Watcher, we all occasionally share details about things we've seen in other universes. I, like some of my fellow Watchers, have decided to show you all one of these universes." the Watcher stated, having stood from his chair and moved back to the podium. Most in the crowd were at least a little excited at the thought of watching another universe.
"Normally, watching another universe wouldn't help you all very much other than entertaining you and I'd get to enjoy your reactions which I've been told is always fun. Other Watchers have elected to show you versions of your own universe's future. I have decided to show you one that is nearly identical to your own. Across the multiverse 'nearly identical' leaves me with a lot of options. So I gathered a list of my ten favorites and picked one at random. In hindsight I got lucky with the universe I chose as I wasn't thinking about ages when I made the list and half of the options would have been invalid as they're from universes where UA is a university and as such the students would be above the age of eighteen on entry into the course and some of the scenes would be... inappropriate to show you minors." There were mixed reactions to this as could be expected.
"Speaking of minors... Eri sweetheart, where are you?" The Watcher called out, people searching for who he might be calling before a little girl stepped out of the corner where she had been hiding and called out with a soft but terrified voice.
"I'm h-here."
Almost everyone in the room was now staring at the child wearing rags and covered in bandages with some mixture of pity and horror as more details about her appearance became obvious.
"Hello child, don't worry, you are safe here. Chisaki cannot reach you as long as you are with me and I have disabled your quirk to prevent any accidents." The girl began crying softly, causing hearts to clench throughout the room as well as a collective murderous intent growing towards whoever 'Chisaki' was.
"Please go stand beside Izuku little one. He will do everything in his power to keep you safe and has proved it in an uncountable number of universes." Eri nodded and ran towards the boy who had knelt down to catch her the instant she got close enough and brought her into a warm embrace whispering to her that everything would be okay now that He Was Here.
He hadn't been as quiet as he'd assumed when he'd made that declaration. Everyone in the room now sporting a stunned smile at the determination and sincerity flowing from the boy. The Watcher himself nodding at the display, enjoying the atmosphere Izuku created with a single sentence. His words providing a profound feeling of safety when combined with the emotion he portrayed while delivering them had most of the audience's tension drain away in an instant. His mother and aunt had never been prouder.
"Now back to the topic at hand" the Watcher said, shaking himself out of the emotional haze he'd been in along with the others "So as I said, after removing the inappropriate options I was left with four options. The first, a universe where Izuku was a Saiyan." Gasps were heard from many in the crowd with a blonde boy with a black lightning bolt through his hair squealing in delight. "The second, a universe where Izuku had the Rinnegan." More gasps and shouts followed the description. "The third, a universe where Izuku had the body, mind, and abilities of a video game character." No noise was made but a telepath would have told you that everyone in the room were all thinking the same thing 'fuck that's broken'. "And finally, the fourth, which was the one I picked." Curiosity was now the prevalent emotion in the room, if the other three options were that good what could this one be? "A universe where Izuku's One For All reached Singularity almost instantly due to a dormant quirk within the original Stockpile Quirk." This one was met not with gasps but with shrugs of confusion as people looked to each other hoping for more information.
"So Midoriya's version of One For All had more power in it and he reached Singularity?" a young blonde girl asked, her blue eyes screwed up in thought trying to see what was so interesting about this universe.
"You are sort of right and mostly wrong Miss Shield." the Watcher said, nodding at her "But it was a great guess. You see OFA is a transferable Stockpile Quirk. Each holder builds it up over time and gives it to the next. The stockpiled power never depletes, it can only increase. The special thing though it that it not only stockpiles power but also the vestiges of the previous wielders" he swept his hand at the seven on the stage and pointed at All Might "and their quirks." He smiled at the pure unadulterated levels of 'HOLY SHIT' going on in the crowd and continued "Izuku will be able to use the quirks of the previous users in your universe gradually starting in about six months when he manifests 'Black Whip'" he pointed at the bald man on stage who spawned tendrils of black energy from his hands "but only after OFA hits Singularity."
"Oh, so the change is that he has access to all of the quirks months earlier?" the aforementioned Miss Shield asked.
"Yes but the real difference is that dormant quirk."
"Is it some stupidly overpowered flashy quirk that makes villains inconsequential?" the man standing next to Miss Shield asked.
"Yes but not in the way you're thinking Mr. Shield, can I call you David? I am trying to be polite but I grew up in America and I'm used to using given names.? He paused long enough to receive a nod and gave a smile in thanks. "No, this quirk is powerful, extremely powerful, but only under very specific conditions and it's what makes the universe I'll be showing you all my second favorite of all of them."
Reveling in the new round of confusion he had sparked with his words the Watcher chuckled and waved an arm, materializing plush chairs, comfortable couches and loveseats, and large beanbag chairs that lay scattered throughout the perfect distance for the audience's viewing pleasure. Startled, the guests mostly figured out what was going on and moved to find their preferred seating arrangements. The Watcher chuckled internally as he watched All Might and Inko flank Izuku on a couch while he held Eri, meanwhile eight other people had discretely positioned themselves nearby. He was entertained!
"While you're all getting comfortable allow me to go over a few things with you." he said, making sure the majority heard him. "You will be here for a while to view what I have set up here. As of this moment I have... shall we say seventy eight episodes to show you. Naturally, even if I have stopped time in your world for our viewing, I wouldn't force you to view all of them in one sitting." He chuckled as most of the audience sweat dropped at the number and the fact that this was shaping up to be an extended stay.
"Personally I think eight episodes a day, four in the morning and four in the afternoon is perfect and as such I have prepared a resort for your comfort during your stay here. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be at seven, noon, and seven respectively each day and there will be training and relaxation facilities available for your use at any time we aren't watching an episode. All previous episodes we have viewed will be available for re-watching on the TVs throughout the resort as well as the full musical catalogue for those interested. Finally, the forty seven minors in attendance are all here because they are either part of this year's heroics course at UA, already attending UA, or vital to the story you're about to see unfold. There are two others I could bring in who join class 1B after the Sports Festival in the other universe but only one of them joins in your universe while the other stays in Gen-Ed for the full three years and the one who does join the hero course isn't the most pleasant person to be around in your timeline. Mostly because he was treated poorly based on his quirk while growing up. Actually let's vote, should I bring these two in or not?"
It didn't take long for most of those present to agree to having the extra two people join them, no one wanting to discriminate based on quirks when they'd already been caught in quirkless discrimination not long ago... well almost no one. The explosive Pomeranian didn't get to vote. The Watcher nodded and clapped twice to bring two more young men in. One tall and lanky looking very tired with deep eye bags rivaling the hobo already attending. The other had a red and white pompadour hair style and sported a wide grin and a steady, well trained body.
"Everyone meet Shinsou Hitoshi and Fuki Akira. I'll give you a few minutes to clue them into what's going on and then make the final statements before we start." The Watcher sat down and made sure he had everything covered in his mental checklist, his eyes glowing in a cycle of various colors.
Roughly four minutes later the two new comers had haunted looks on their faces as they searched for a place to sit and waited to start with everyone else. The Watcher had already made sure to keep problematic individuals away from their targets, the Grapist, Monoma, and Bakubitch were each sat on a couch away from the girls and Izuku though he planned to allow Monoma to pick another seat later on when he could confirm his behavior would improve. He snapped his fingers and two large banners unfurled depicting the rosters for classes 1A and 1B for each universe and many immediately noticed a big change in the alternate universe's lineup.
"HEY! How come there are no girls in my class in the other universe?!" a diminutive boy shouted.
"You." was the only response he got from their host and he shrank down into his couch when he received scornful glares from almost everyone in the room.
"So, three quick announcements before I hit play! First, refreshments are available at any time, just think about what you want and it will appear. That includes blankets, pillows, and barf bags as well. Place all garbage in the bins placed nearby each of your seats and it will be taken care of. There will be no food fighting or I will punish you." He glared at the people intensely at this, causing many to shrink back and have shifty eyes. "Second. All quirks will be disabled in this room, the dining room, and the bedrooms/hallways other than passive effects. This is to prevent accidents from emotional outbursts and..." he looked directly into the eyes of one Aoyama Yuga "espionage, whether purposeful or not."
The crowd didn't get time to process that before every quirk actively being used was disabled. Most of the reactions to this were fairly tame but when All Might was covered in smoke and vanished only to reappear as a sickly skeleton of a man in oversized clothes while coughing up blood everyone freaked out other than the teachers, a nurse, and the boy beside him with the seven that were summoned from the dead only looking at him with pity and worry. Yagi Toshinori stood up and showed his scar to the crowd, some making use of the barf bags already, and explaining his wound, how he got it, and his time limit.
"Good. Now that that's all taken care of, the Third bit." He looked fondly at Izuku who returned it with his own look of confusion. "The dormant quirk from the other universe is also present in your universe's copy of OFA. It just never manifested. I have changed that. It is already working even now as part of it is a passive effect."
The seven formerly dead people, Toshinori, and Inko gasped with wide eyes at this "B-but I d-didn't feel an-any different?" Izuku managed to get out.
"And you wont for a little bit. I wont explain more but you'll see it in action in the first episode." the Watcher assured him, with the same fond smile while his eyes flickered to eight specific people nearby "I can tell you that I am going to enjoy everyone's reaction to it immensely. You deserve everything it brings you, never forget that. You are one of the kindest, bravest, and most heroically endowed people in the multiverse Izuku and if I can help you accept that, even a little, I'll consider all of this" he gestured to the room and everyone in it "a resounding success!"
Izuku was frozen in shock at the Watcher's words, tears flowing down his eyes while his mother and Eri hugged him and Toshinori ruffled his hair with a proud grin plastered on his face. The rest of the audience watched this with at least a little affection save for one angry Bakubitch who was still frozen and muted, his eyes filled with fury and disbelief.
"Without further ado, here! We! Goooooooo!" he shouted and the room darkened while the screen came to life.
