Work Text:

It was no secret that Percy was absolutely dreadful in archery.

So when his girlfriend offered him archery lessons, he vehemently denied them. Too bad his girlfriend was a goddess who wouldn't take no for an answer.

After dinner, Percy found himself in the archery arena with a bow in his hand, grumbling about evil girlfriends and their ordering tendencies. Artemis just stood next to him with an amused smile on her face as she watched him hold the weapon awkwardly.

Percy took a bow and notched an arrow on the string. Artemis grimaced at his terrible stance but did not say anything. He faced the target and let go of the string.

Artemis blinked as something flew past her head. She looked at Percy, who turned around very, very slowly and laughed nervously, "Um..."

Percy had managed to almost hit her while facing in the opposite direction. In the opposite direction. While he was aiming for a target in front of him.

She stared incredulously at Percy who rubbed his neck sheepishly, a pretty blush creeping up his neck. Cute, Artemis thought, but she did not dare vocalize it, lest her boyfriend would find something else to gloat over. Instead, she put up a menacing glare. Percy cringed.

"Sorry," Percy said sheepishly.

"Sorry? That's it?" seethed Artemis, glaring at Percy. "You almost shot me and you just say sorry?” Yes, she is joking, getting shot by a stray arrow is the least of her worries right now.

"Uh, yes?"

Artemis sighed in defeat and rubbed her temple, "Pick up your bow and an arrow."

Percy blinked. "Why?" he squinted at her.

"Because you're learning to fence," She snapped sarcastically. "Now pick them up!"

Percy scrambled off his feet and fumbled with the bow before finally picking it up. Artemis huffed and straightened his stance, all the while grumbling, "My boyfriend doesn't know archery? My boyfriend? The goddess of hunting?" Percy could only uncomfortably grunt whenever Artemis harshly tugged at his hands to correct his posture.

"Now, take up the stance I showed you," Artemis ordered while setting up herself against Percy. Percy turned bright red when Artemis' hand brushed up against his inner thigh, tantalizingly close to his groin. Artemis smirked when she noticed his face.

Deciding to have some fun with him, she leaned in and nipped at his ears and whispered huskily, "Are you alright, Percy? You look a little red," She giggled when Percy colored impossibly crimson, as he shivered slightly. He could only nod dumbly as she started to press a trail of kisses along his jaw and collarbone.

She bit him softly on his neck and Percy moaned slightly. His brain finally rebooted and he snapped out of his stupor before growling possessively. He faced Artemis and lunged at her hungrily, smashing his lips onto hers. Artemis, taken aback by the change, recoiled slightly but soon kissed back fervently.

Archery was promptly forgotten.
