”Jun..?”
Makoto whispered, sounding relatively tired.
”What?”
He sounded slightly harsher than intended, but he knows Makoto will understand he doesn’t mean to be rude, not to him, never to him.
”Thank you.”
Makoto smiled while snuggling their face into Jun’s chest.
He put a hand on Makoto’s head and gently plays with his hair.
”For what?” Sounding a bit confused, but Makoto could tell he was smiling too, even without seeing his face.
”Being my boyfriend. Always protecting me and making me happy. I love you.”
”I love you too.” He didn’t really know how to respond. He loves Makoto more than anything, but sometimes the words just don’t come out right, so he’d rather stay quiet instead.
Makoto’s arms wrapped around Jun’s waist tighter.
He slowly looks up at Jun. They just smiled at each other for a few minutes.
”Wanna try the new game we got a few days ago? I’ve been wanting to play it with you!”
Makoto jumped up as he remembered how excited he was about playing that game.
Jun got up after him and they headed to the couch.
”Thank you.” Jun whispered. “For making me happy, too.”
Makoto heard, of course. He couldn’t help but smile for the rest of the evening, while they were cuddling and playing the game together, forgetting about the time, as always. But that’s okay, because they’re both the most important in each other’s lives~
