Okay, so, this might be a bit of a problem.
Scratch that, it’s a whole lot of problems and Nelson’s not exactly up for solving them at the moment, but the insistent feeling currently building in the bottom of his groin is providing more reason than others to try to, even with his brain being foggy as shit these days.
Groaning, he tries to shift his hips, feeling the familiar ache of carrying too much weight starting to bloom over them as he opens his eyes, staring at the ceiling as it comes into hazy focus. His glasses are on the nightstand and he probably could reach over and pick them up if it wasn’t for Chris’s body being in the way.
It’s a silly sight to see, if Nelson hasn’t gone to bed like this after a rather rough day of getting his ass kicked, internally and externally, but taking stock of his surroundings (or what he can still see of them) makes the Omega grin. Max is under his arm, legs tucked underneath him, Chris’s tall ass is on the other side drooling into a pillow and Jaime is on Chris’s hip between his legs and clinging to one of Nelson’s thighs, which are slowly but surely becoming free real estate for his the 3 restless pups inside him that love to make sure he knows they’re there - belly resting on top of them a high mountain against his strained t-shirt as he sighs.
Speaking of said belly mountain, a foot suddenly flinches inside, nudging the top of his ribs not too kindly and he chuckles, hand underneath the low curve as he sits up as best he can, his hips hurting less thanks to the weight of his belly being more distributed. His other arm slings around the top, hand resting on it as he catches his breath, chuckling quietly as he pokes back where the movement came from, acknowledging it. “Good mornin’ to you too.”
The urge to go is hitting so much harder right now.
Bracing himself with a breath, he manages to slide himself to the edge of the bed without too much difficulty after dislodging all 3 of his Alphas, but he has to take another minute to be able to push himself up and even then, he stumbles a little, still not used to his belly dropping low and heavy and throwing off his gravity. Plus, it provides this new feeling Nelson’s come to hate called “pressure” which he was used to in one way (being an online content creator meant you were under some more of pressure after all) but this is pressure like he’s never felt, his thighs screaming and back feeling stiff and burning as he makes a groaning noise though his teeth, a hand automatically pressing against the worst spot as he moves to the bathroom.
Relief at last.
The pups are honestly a lot quieter than normal today, which is telling given they’re usually off the wall, especially Max’s one, the one he’s sure is on his left tucked near his back as they never stop moving, even in their sleep (thanks to Max’s ADHD). It just means that they’re coming soon, getting ready to load Nelson up with all the good hormones as they decide when’s the right time they want to clock out.
While that should make him nervous, he can’t find it in himself to be that way, in fact, he’s looking forward to meeting them, figuring them out and seeing what their personalities will be, the little people that they turn into. Future YouTubers? Gamers? E-Sports Team Members? Editors? Something else entirely? The guesses from both him and the other boys were always filled with love regardless, cause they loved each other and loved these pups.
Pups that were now deciding that Nelson had been too slow in freeing up some space for them and were fussing, kicks and rolls making Nelson groan and brace himself against the bathroom sink as a small cramp filtered its way through the normal aches of late pregnancy with triplets, visibly tightening his belly and causing him to rock his hips, breathing through his nose as it lingers before it finally goes, leaving him sighing under his breath.
Last thing he wanted to do was make loud enough noise to wake the others - while they are obnoxious and clowning, things Nelson can handle, they’re also overprotective and annoying, especially lately as Nelson has slowed down from you know, being stacked in a way that doesn’t involve his old gym routine that he swears he’s going back to after his body decides to evict these pups.
It’s not like his inner Omega doesn’t like it - it loves being taken care of. It’s just…starting to bite at him as he’s still able to get around and do shit. He’s not an invalid. They literally went to Boston just recently and he got around fine (even if Chris was always constantly fucking hovering behind him the entire time, but still) all the walking blowing his back, but giving him the most uninterrupted sleep of his life over the few days they were there due to the pups being asleep most of the time. He almost wishes he could sleep that well again right now.
He doesn’t know he’s being snuck up on until arms are wrapping around him and in looking down (like way down, at his sides as he can’t see his feet, let alone underneath the mountain), the skin colour as well as a few braclets and a black ring tell him it’s Jaime before he sighs, leaning back into him slightly, letting out a small questioning hum.
Jaime simply repositioned himself and began to lift up, Nelson letting out what was definitely a moan to his embarrassment, immediately melting even more against him. “Thank you.” He murmured, eyes slipping shut as he took a few more deep breaths. Thank Christ this man could bench 225, the feeling of weight and pressure off of his hips and pelvis is bliss.
“You okay?” He can feel breath near his ear, so he guesses Jaime’s face is resting on his shoulder and he chuckles, teeth biting his lip a little. “Better now. Needed to piss so bad, plus I didn’t have a bunch of limbs karate chopping my back all night.”
“Worried us yesterday.” Jaime supplied, thumbs pressing into Nelson’s hips. If ‘Favourite Alpha’ had been a gaming achievement, Jaime may have just maxed it out for today. He wasn’t going to tell Max or Chris that however. Instead, he just stretches his neck, hands cupping Jaime’s as they stand there swaying. “Yeah, well, my body’s so done, man. They’re just being stubborn in wanting to pick a time and place, probably Puffer’s kid holding everything up.”
Jaime snorts, burying his nose into his shoulder near his neck where Nelson’s scent gland is, a quiet chuckle leaving his lips. “Probably. At least my kid is being nice.”
“Lies, they headbutted the one on my back that I know is Pezzy’s cause they were kicking them and in turn, they kicked me.” Nelson grumbles, but still smiles as Jaime’s laugh rumbles through the back of his chest, an involuntary whimper leaving him soon after as Jaime slowly lowers the weight back down, the pressure back tenfold. “Dude-”
“I know. I didn’t tell you to stop, that’s unfair, do it again.” He feels lips on the back of his ear in apology and Nelson can’t help but deflate, tightening his hands over Jaime’s. “If you come back to bed and shove Chris enough, you could lie on your side, would help your back.”
“Are you seriously trying to get me to go back to bed?” Nelson frowns, not because he’s annoyed or anything (okay, he is a little), but because he had plans. They know he has plans as well. He’s still knee deep in his filming schedule, wanting to get as many videos backed up as possible while he’s still able to fit behind his PC desk so that when these pups do come that his viewers are getting regular streams of content.
He’s going to need that time to figure out how to be a parent. They all need that time.
“Maybe you need a lazy day.” Jaime hums and Nelson only has to raise an eyebrow before he folds, sighing from somewhere deep in his soul. “You smell weird. You haven’t noticed?”
“No.” Nelson huffs, shaking his head. All he had been able to really think about as soon as his brain was online was the need to relieve himself and how to use his lungs to breathe, not how he smells. “What do I smell like?”
“Like-” Jaime hums as he tries to find the right words. “-like a storm’s coming. The sweet scent is there still, you know since you’re still pregnant-” “Oh, I didn’t notice.” “Okay, calm down Grizzly Bear, but seriously, it’s like watered down. Other stuff is bleeding into it. You’re starting to smell like you used to.”
“Oh.” Oh. His old scent used to be like “a beach on a rainy day” (as so tactfully described by Max once when asked) and supposes that’s because he’s from Florida that he smells like wet sand and sunscreen and the ocean, but over the months, it’s changed from that drastically. As typical of Omegas who are carrying, it’s been altered to the normal sticky honeycomb crap that smells like he’s in a soap store. First time he smelt himself, he actually wrinkled his nose and felt hungry. Now, his oversenstive nose deemed it too sickly, hence why he’s most likely missed whatever Jaime’s picked up on.
“Pez mentioned it last night, but neither me or Puffer could smell anything, plus you were kinda overflowing with needing comfort so that might have covered it up.” Jaime murmures gently from his side where he’s now pressed into his trap, looking at him with concerned eyes. “I only just noticed when I was behind you. You feeling any different?”
“Honestly, no.” Nelson can’t help but look down at his belly again. Was it lower than it was yesterday? Was that cramp really a sign that they were coming today? Tomorrow? His mind was racing now. “Same as always. Overfull, tired, aching, but nothing like…laborish.”
“Still, I just think you should come back to bed, just in case.”
“He’s right, you know.” A voice echoes behind him and Nelson rolls his eyes, meeting Max’s eye in the mirror, Chris hovering behind him. “If I say no, are you going to tie me to the bed?”
“Maybe.” Max shrugs.
“Yes.” Chris snarks from over his shoulder, watching him intensely.
Max smacks him not too nicely and Nelson grins despite how tired he feels. “Droid may have competition today for favourite.”
Jaime huffs from beside him, seemingly not happy with this development. “Thought I got in front early.”
“You did. Now you just have to keep up with Pezzy, let Puffer trail behind.” Nelson pushes off Jaime and stretches out, a strip of his belly showing at the bottom of his shirt as he does before he relaxes, scratching the side as he feels the pups starting to wake up. “Compromise - we can put off recording for today and laze on the couch playing video games or something. If something happens, I mean if -” He eyes all 3 Alphas, wondering just how the fuck he managed to end up with 3 of the most werid, but kind people in the world. “-then ya’ll can do whatever you want with me as I’ll be too fucking in my head to care.”
“I’ll help you down the stairs.” Max is already reaching out, a warm weight against Nelson’s side, his head level with his shoulder given he’s the shortest of them all.
“I’ll get the couch all comfy, considering I can reach all the shit we need.” Chris is already off and moving, muttering something under his breath that almost sounds like a prayer, grabbing his glasses from beside where Nelson can barely see his own, most likely taking stock of everything. He was always the most serious of all of them. Jaime’s right behind him, all bouncing and excitable - most likely running through their list of snacks and video games like an automatic Rolodex as Max nudges his side. “Don’t lie like you aren’t cool with this.”
“I’ve never lied in my life.” Nelson wiggled, hips throbbing now that the counter (and Droid) were both gone, leaving him weighted down. “I’m so fucking uncomfortable.”
“You’ll be alright.” Is all Max says with a soft smile that Nelson only sees when his glasses are on and rolls his eyes at in the meanwhile, settling on the couch in the living room in a nest of blankets and pillows that seem to fix everything, drifting off here and there between whatever the Alphas are playing.
(and when he has the first spike of dopamine that hits him like a bus in the late afternoon, warmth flooding his insides like he’s about to go into heat, he knows he’s safe and surrounded by the 3 people who love him, 3 new people on their way to love too.)
