**METFLIFE STADIUM, 19:35**
The final whistle blew, sealing Japan’s victory.
The stadium erupted with cheers and chants
In that moment, history was made: Japan defeated Germany 3–2 in the 2026 World Cup final.

The Japanese players dropped to their knees, someone in disbelief, others cried, tears of joy and pride obviously.
Nagi stood frozen for a second, staring at the scoreboard: Japan 3 - 2 Germany. Then he turned, and Reo was already running toward him. Without thinking, Reo jumped into Nagi’s arms. Reo was laughing and crying at all once breathlessly and Nagi held him , looking at Reo as if the whole world had faded away.
“We did it treasure!” Reo said happily. Nagi didn’t say anything. He just looked at Reo and nodded.
**METLIFE STADIUM , 20:00**
The trophy ceremony began. Nagi stood near the center, his jersey was slighly messy. Reo was right beside him, his eyes were shining like the stars above the stadium.
Bright lights lit up the stage as the announcer spoke.
“And now, the captain of Japan. Oliver Aiku!”
Aiku, with his calm expression as usual stepped toward the World Cup. He turned to his teammates: “Go for it. This win belongs to all of you.”
Everyone took turns holding the trophy, laughing, shouting, some even crying.
And at some point, it landed in Reo’s hands.
The cup was in his hand. Shiny and Heavy.
With his bright smile and quickly turned to Nagi.
“Nagi, Come here!”
We waved to Chigiri, with his phone pulled from his pocket.
“Chigiri, quick , take a photo of us!”
He turned to Nagi with a sparkle in his eyes.
“Nagi, hold me!”
Nagi blink twice, then without a world and without a word he lifted Reo and the World Cup into his arms. One arm under his legs, the other supporting his back like princess style.
Reo was still holding the cup tightly, smiling like a kid at a theme park.
The journalist went crazy.

Chigiri was trying hard not to laugh while taking the photo.
“These two have no shame”
Bachira and Isagi couldn’t stop laughing either.
“they’re gonna break the Internet”
“Yes, definitely”
And through all that noise, Nagi just kept holding Reo, calm and unbothered.
Within minutes, the photo was everywhere.
First on Chigiri and Reo’s Instagram story, and then trending worldwide.

Across the room, Reo stopped drinking and froze for a second. Nagi was sitting next to him completely calm.
Chigiri kept going, barely able to contain his laughter:
“The entire world is asking one question: What is the relationship between Reo Mikage and Seishiro Nagi? Teammates? Best friends? Or something deeper?”
He paused and looked up at the team with raised eyebrows.
“What an interesting topic” Bachira said with smirk.
Reo covered his face, smiling through the embarrassment.
“Oh my, I hate mass media” he murmured “They blow everything way out of proportion.”
Nagi, seated next him, tilted his head. “Hmm,” he said in that calm, honest tone of his. “They’re not wrong, though.”
“Seishiro!”
