OK, so the first chapter sad to say isn’t gonna be an actual chapter it’s gonna be an explanation cause I need one and writers notes being obnoxiously long annoys me so skip this chapter if you see that there’s more than one here if you’re not interested in not being terribly confused
That being said couple of things that’ll make the way this is written makes sense is that I can’t write. I use exclusively speech to text. My newer phone does add commas and such which is a massive help when I want them to be there, but while you may not find any spelling errors Unless it’s one of the swears cause I’m going to have to copy them in from whatever generated subtitles I can find missing commas and periods are probably gonna be more common than not. Hopefully, I’ll get better at it but it’s always been the Bain of my existence.
I am writing this preemptively because earlier today. I finally saw the pilot not sure what it took me so long to do that but it was everything I loved about certain episodes like the picnic where you can tell wander is just doing it on purpose and in a deleted scene, I also watched today from the hole lot of nothing. It’s heavily implied that he’s explored probably more than five different galaxies and is thus really old and since some of the writing, probably most of the writing will be from his perspective that will come into play. I also have some interesting ideas on how his view of his own lack of mortality and how he creates his sanity and maintains It. (I plan for there to be a line in his head where he thinks there’s two different ways to not go crazy when you live that long and one will be what he does )
well, it will be based around how he behaves in the pilot and a handful of episodes in which you can tell. He has great wisdom and isn’t as naïve as he is in others. A lot of the story I see is playing out pretty similar I do want to keep Sylvia as the way she was in the pilot in personality a bit mostly I just want to adopt the part where she knows if he’s doing something on purpose. I think that’s something I would’ve wanted and maybe gotten into eventually anyway but I just loved it so much in the pilot because it shows how bonded they are.
I think it would be fun to do some episodes a little different like in the cave if Sylvia was split into many pieces and since she isn’t as old, she wouldn’t split into as many Maybe 12 but less than 20 for sure
I do like her Canon design more than her pilot design, but aside from that and her voice basically the pilot is the start of this series
Not sure if I want to write that out if I do, I’ll probably do it later as a separate thing I also will not be doing the episodes in order. I want them to be written well more than that and I don’t know what to do with the egg yet most of my ideas are probably from episodes in the second half of season one and season two right now but if I have to write it and set it aside and not post it till later, I can always do that. I cannot promise consistent updates. You might get like three in a day(the fact that I’m not changing that to two shows how delusional I truly am) or two in a whole month. I honestly have no idea. I’ve never done this before so hopefully y’all join me. I believe this will be quite fun and a perfectly good reason to put off watching the last episode of season two and I just rewatch the first season a couple more times. also, I will be doing tags as needed because there’s really no other way to do that in something that I think will probably be more than 50,000 words when I’m done. (fingers crossed anyhow I always liked reading things that have more detail in our longer than necessarily could be tell the same story.)
now I have to go to bed and I have to help my family with stuff tomorrow, but I’m hoping to get the first actual finished “episode” before the end of the weekend but if I promise that I’ll die of stress. I won’t say what but the reason I’m starting this now is because we had a family thing earlier this week and if I don’t start now, I fear I never will.
