Pipabeth Oneshots (Song Lyrics Edition)

Chapter 1: "I don't want the children of another man to have the eyes of the girl I won't forget" (Undressed - Sombr)

Chapter Text

It wasn't every day that Piper got to visit Annabeth and Percy once in a while. Especially with all the demigod stuff that they outlived (the life expectancy of a demigod was always so short.)

Today, her feet brought her in front of a doorstep. A blue door that was unmistakably Percy's choice of color. They've finally bought a house and she should be happy for them, yet, there was a lingering feeling of helplessness that tried to eat her every time Annabeth comes to her mind.

Alone and travelling, she knew she was going to have to stay here for at least a few days. Her hand hesitantly reached up to ring the doorbell, an overwhelming feeling washing upon her as it made a ringing bell sound.

A few sounds of screaming coming from a kid can be heard from inside, next thing she knew a little girl opened the door for her.

A girl with curly black hair that fell to her shoulder blades as she beamed at Piper, a flashing smile she could have focused on before noticing her eyes. Those familiar grey eyes.

One thing Piper couldn’t less expect to open the door was a kid. A little girl that shared the similar features to her fellow friend.

"Are you mommy and daddy's visitor?"

"That's right."

Mommy and daddy...

It wasn't long before a voice she knew called out from inside.

A voice she longed to hear again after so many days of waiting.

"Pipes? You already there? Come in already, the weather's oddly cold today."

Piper already caught a glimpse of Annabeth's blonde curly hair tied up in a messy bun almost like she worked day and night before she could come into view. The morning sunlight from outside glinted in her hair as soon as she was in front of Piper, leaning by the doorframe after the little girl left running while giggling, her eyes were focused on the very woman in front of her looking almost radiant and brilliant as ever when she last saw her.

Ultimately, Piper had to ask the biggest question that stuck to her mind ever since she saw the kid.

Even if the answer was already in front of her. Even if the answer was already obvious. Even if it hurt too much to know.

"You and Percy already have a kid now?"

Annabeth nodded, there was no denying even without telling.

"Uh huh, always so keen aren't you Her name's Hallie."

"Hallie— Like Hazel?"

Annabeth nodded once again before leading Piper to the living room, hauling her bags to a guest room before coming back.

The little girl— Hallie, sat besides to her, those grey eyes twinkling with almost a look of fascination towards the woman next to her.

A cruel trick of fates.

It hurt more when Piper's gaze would always land at the grey eyes that Hallie inherited from her mother.

The unique grey eyes aside from Annabeth's siblings that she would always cherish. Just about identical to a storm, a storm that would always bore her heart.
