Flirting in the middle of the mission

Summary:

We all know Kid Flash is the flirtatious gay man who wants to get Robin into bed.

But...

A bored Robin is a dangerous Robin.

Let's see what happens when boredom gets so great that you decide to flirt with your enemy to cope.

Accept the consequences of your actions, Robin.

Work Text:

Robin was bored.

They'd been on surveillance for three hours.

There's only so long you can watch a warehouse and not get bored.

They were supposed to catch a drug dealer, but either the guy was very late, the meeting had been rescheduled, or the man knew they were coming.

Kid Flash was fidgeting with his leg beside him. Being idle for so long was torture.

Robin looked at his vigil partner and smiled. Not a good smile, but a gremlin-of-chaos smile

Robin turned off his communicator and sidled up to the other boy.

He put his arms around his shoulders, turning off the other boy's communicator in the process.

"So, angel, tell me. Do you always look this pretty this time of night?" Robin asked.

"R-Robin?" Kid Flash asked, bewildered, turning to look at the other and taking a step back.

What was going on here?

Robin approached the other, and Kid Flash began to back away. The boy was approaching as if he were about to eat him. Kid Flash backed up until he hit a wall.

Robin put his arms on the wall to prevent the other from escaping, cornering him against it.

"Tell me, darling, do you always get like this when someone flirts with you?" Robin said with a smile.

He enjoyed watching his enemy stutter, and he had a cute blush on his face.

If Kid Flash didn't want him to use his crush on him, he shouldn't have told him he was in love with him.

Kid Flash was deciding if he had fallen asleep on the mission or if he was in an alternate reality.

Because it wasn't possible for Robin to flirt with him while cornering him against a wall in this plane of existence.

"Did the cat get your tongue, or am I so beautiful that I'm leaving you speechless?" Robin asked, smiling at him with all his teeth.

"Ro-Rob-Robin?" Kid Flash stuttered

"How cute, he can't even talk," Robin said, half-mocking him.

"What's up, darling? Isn't this what you wanted? It must be a dream to have me flirting with you," Robin said, standing on tiptoe to get closer to the other's face.

Damn his short stature.

Kid Flash blinked, but in a second he'd turned the tables and now had Robin up against the wall.

He bent down to look at the boy. "We are today, very proactive."

"What's up, darling? Are you bored?" Kid Flash asked, getting close enough to the other's face to feel his breath.

Robin smiled. "A little"

"How about some kisses to pass the time?" Kid Flash asked.

"Why not?" Robin said before grabbing the other's head and pulling him in for a kiss.

Kid wrapped his arms around the young man's waist and leaned him against the wall, lowering his head so Robin wouldn't have to crane his neck as far as they continued kissing.

Voices made them stop.

Robin caught his breath as Kid Flash looked over the building at the three men entering the warehouse.

"Looks like we have work to do," Robin said, slipping out of Kid Flash's arms.

The redhead pouted, but agreed. Mission first, kisses later.

With quick planning and execution, the three drug dealers ended up tied up outside the warehouse, ready for the police to take them to jail.

"Well, looks like we have the night off, doll," Kid Flash said, smiling flirtatiously at Robin as he put an arm on his hip and pulled him closer.

"Report first, then maybe, if you behave, you can come visit," Robin said, removing the other's hand.

"And can I get some kisses as a reward?" Kid Flash asked with an enthusiastic smile.

Robin pretended to think about it and said, "Only if you do the report right," before disappearing over the horizon.

Robin had finished his nightly routine and was ready for bed. He had sent his report to Batman a while ago, and it was time for him to go to sleep.

It was 4 a.m., and Robin needed to sleep so he could fight crime tomorrow.

Robin looked bewildered at Kid Flash sitting in the Indian position on his bed.

"I did the report, and Batman thought it was fine. Now I want my reward," the redhead said with a smile, moving his legs as if flapping the wings of a butterfly.

Robin sighed.

"It's clear that tenacity is one of your qualities, that, and you don't take no for an answer," Robin said, sitting down on the mattress.

"Well, I must have something good, right?" Kid Flash said with a smile.

Robin grabbed him by his pajama shirt and kissed him. "Now get in bed so we can get some sleep. If you don't get in the way, you can get kisses in the morning."

"At your service, Captain," Kid Flash said, saluting before getting under the covers.

Robin got into bed, and they both cuddled up.

"You know, we do a lot of things like couples just to be enemies," Kid Flash said, amused.

"Maybe I'm not interested in us being enemies anymore," Robin said, closing his eyes in search of sleep.

"Will you have dinner with me this week?" Kid Flash said.

"Can I get you to shut up and let me sleep if I say yes?" Robin said.

"Yes," Kid Flash said.

"Then yes," Robin said.

"Good night, my love," Kid Flash said, turning off the light and lying comfortably on the mattress.

Robin curled up on top of him and said, "Good night."
