They were at the park, sitting on the swings, it was getting dark, but they didn't mind it, that made their surroundings feel more… calm.
Ann looked at Aubree, she hadn't seen her like this in a long time, she could notice her smile, and that made her feel happy.
She could feel that the black haired girl was feeling better than she was some years ago.
“Hey Aubree” she started the conversation, looking at her company.
Aubree looked at the brown haired girl back “yeah?”
“It’s been a while since I last saw you happy” she said “It's like… you changed! But in a good way y’know? I don't know, it just brings me joy seeing you like this” she said, now a smile forming in her face.
“Oh! Did I really change that much?” Aubree asked “I thought I just, I don't know, felt better and that’s it, haha”.
“That’s one way to see it, but I think you’re different now, there was a time where you were really serious and sad, but now? You're happy again, and it just… brings me joy”
Aubree smiled “I guess I didn't see it that way, but now that you mention it, you're kinda right”
The night fell, the girls looked at each other and got up the swings.
“Your home or my home?” Ann asked.
“Yours, it's closer”
“Alright, let’s go!” Ann grabbed Aubree's hand and they walked to Ann's house.
After some couple minutes of walking, they reached the brown haired girl's house.
They didn't do much after that, they ate some chips and went to watch some television.
“Hey Ann?”
Ann looked at Aubree.
“Thanks for the things you said before, it made me feel like I made progress”.
“You don't have to thank me” Ann smiled.
They both looked at each other for a moment before turning back to watch the TV.
A couple of minutes later they both feel asleep.
