"Sensei, you're late! Again!" Naruto and Sakura yelled. Sasuke just stood there unfazed, as usual.
"Oh wow, did another cat stumble upon your path?!" They both exclaimed.
"Precisely." Kakashi said, with the fats under his eyes, you could tell he was hiding a smile behind his mask.
"Alright, stop wasting time you three. Tora is missing again...you already know where I'm going with this."
"Why does that old hag Madam Shitjimi-or whatever her name is keep letting her cat get away like this!!! Just hire a catsitter at this point!" Naruto said, frustrated.
"Naruto's right..." Sasuke mutters.
"Quit complaining." He says, swatting them away to do what they're assigned.
As the three of them were sent off finding Tora, he pulled out his book and began reading. He was just about to get into an...intense part of the book, until he could feel something or someone behind him.
"I see you're still reading Icha Icha. You never change, Hatake." A familiar voice says.
Kakashi turns around, greeted with his long-time friend's face.
"Oh wow..." He says, putting the book down. He hasn't seen you in awhile, he looks at you intently.
A minute of silence for the both of you, without exchanging a single word. He examined the very features he was obsessed with years back, and now it's right in front of him.
He looks at your ring finger, and there isn't a ring yet.
"Y/n...It's good to see you."
You nod, it was your way of reciprocating.
"Are those your children?" You say, looking at the three kids looking high and low for something.
"Oh dear, no. These are my students. Say, do you have any children?"
"Nope, I don't really see myself with one at the moment.
"I couldn't agree more."
"So uhm...would you like to get something to eat and catch up, just like the old times?" You said, barely loud enough for him to hear it. A crimson color crept up on your faces.
"That would be lovely."
"I found it! I found it! Where's that old ha-" Naruto said with Sakura and Sasuke behind him, though only Naruto was covered with scratches. He was just about to say, until he saw not one, but two adult figures.
"Kakashi-sensei, who is that?" All three of them say.
Naruto gets all-up in your business, inspecting you.
"Is she your girlfriend? Or fiancé? Or wife?!" Sakura asked
"I'm Y/n, a old friend of Kakashi. We go way back...before any of you were born."
"Really? You don't look nearly as old as Kakashi does!" Naruto said.
"Are you sure you're the same age as him? You don't look 40."
"You think Kakashi is 40?" You laugh.
"Wait, he isn't 40?" Sakura says.
"Go home you three, you've done enough for the day." Kakashi said.
"But it's only noon!"
"Exactly! You need plenty of rest tomorrow. We're going on a trip, make sure to sleep early."
"WOO a trip!!! Awesome!" Naruto said. The other two go their own way.
"Well, how about that ramen shop...? Do you still remember my order" You say, teasing him.
"Of course I do..."
You link your arm with his, and if you look close enough, you can see a tinge of red on his face.
