Work Text:
Feeling his steady heart beat under your palm, a calming lullaby. Soothing your sleepy mind. Snuggling deeper into your husband's chest. Nose pressing into the nook of his neck. Smelling the lingering scent of his cologne, woodsy and warm. He hums, a deep sleepy rumble under your palm. Awoken by your slight shifting. “Sorry,” you mutter sleepily. Lips brushing against his warm skin. He turns his head slightly. Kissing the top of your head before nuzzling into your hair. Settling back to sleep, just like you.
