Noone tried to scream, but her voice was stuck in her throat. She couldn't scream, defend herself or do anything about her current situation - she felt like she was drowning and falling at the same time, she didn't know if she was in some liquid or in a complete emptiness. Slimy, arm-like seaweed wrapped around her body, leaving a sticky, runny substance all over her body. She tried to open her eyes as wide as possible to finally wake up from this nightmare but she felt as if the space around her didn't allow her to do anything but let it happen. Then at some point she finally knew her current situation... but it wasn't good either because she felt like she was falling. It lasted only a few seconds, but there was something whistling in her ears. It reminded her of the wind blowing unpleasantly into your ears, making them hurt.
Within a few seconds of falling, she noticed that she was falling onto a large stone building. She knew that the fall would be unpleasant, but the moment she hit the flat roof of the building she woke up and immediately took a big breath. She was lying on the ground with a blanket tangled around her body. She threw the blanket back on the bed, rubbing her temples as she remembered what had happened. Well, it would be smart to go to sleep again, but she was too afraid... the feeling of that dream was the worst, she certainly didn't want to feel filthy hands around her again. She needed to get it out and talk to someone, but if she went to Otto, he would again pressure her to talk about Nowhere and connect her to machines. Her second and last option was a nurse, but her solution to everything were these disgusting and terrible meds. She didn't talk to any of the children there, Otto was her only friend... at least she hoped he was a friend... She sighed softly and left her room, going to Otto. She stood in front of his door and knocked softly.
-Noone? - After a while, Otto opened the door and despite the late hour he let her in - what brings you to me at such a late hour? New nightmares about Nowhere?
- Nightmares, yes, but not Nowhere... I think - Noone immediately made herself comfortable in the room, sitting on the armchair with lots of Otto's clothes on it.
- What do you mean "i think"? Think carefully, even if it didn't look like Nowhere it could still be it, because that's the only thing you've been dreaming about lately - Otto sat down on the bed across from her.
- At first I ran away in... I don't know what. It was complete darkness, I felt like it was emptiness and some liquid all at once... and then those disgusting hands grabbed me and wrapped me all around... but... but no... it wasn't it... it wasn't Nowhere, if it was there, I would have felt it, it was-
- You feel a lot of stress, that's all. It's normal for your mind to try to convey situations from your life in your sleep - Otto suddenly interrupted her - it's nothing we need to worry about, it's best to go back to sleep, it's late.
- But Otto i'm scared...
- It's natural, if you want, I'll take you back to your room and I'll give a lamp for you - Otto took a small, dusty bedside lamp from the drawer and wiped it with his hand.
- No, I don't want to go back there... what if it's this room is the reason I'm having these terrible nightmares - Noone was getting more and more worried.
- This room is all you have - Otto, of course, wanted to put as much pressure on Noone as possible. If her theory was true, he would lose his only access to Nowhere.
- I want to stay here. Just for one night - Noone crossed her arms over her chest with a stubborn tone in her voice.
- Noone, you know very well that... - Otto wanted to protest, but sighed. He could benefit from this too... he could watch Noone's body react to the nightmares and could more and more easily connect machines to her - ....just one night.
Otto sighed and took some papers off the bed to make place for Noone. She smiled with satisfaction as she lay down on the bed.
