"It's your graduation tomorrow." Regulus said, breaking the scilence.
"You're finally leaving, all those experiences of yours, the pranks you've played on others, all wound up into a 5 year portion of your life."
He bent his head to look at his hands, twisting the silver ring on his right hand where one single word lay engraved into the metal.
Once.
"But even if it does seem so miniscule in the long life I hope you lead, those 5 years have done a lot haven't they Sirius?" he sighed dropping his hands into his lap, not looking up. "You've changed. I've changed. We've both changed and I-"
"I don't think we will ever be the same."
Because it was true. Too much had happened between the two of them. Sirius had left, Regulus had stayed. Sirius was sorted into Griffindor, Regulus was sorted into Slytherin. Regulus had the dark mark on his arm and Sirius...
Well, Regulus heavily suspected Sirius had joined the order with the rest of the so called 'marauders', although sazalar save him if he was ever heard uttering that name out loud.
Regulus blinked back the small droplets of water that had started to gather on his lower lash line, staring up at the sky directly to Sirius's star.
"I'm sorry I couldn't be the brother you deserve. I'm sorry I couldn't be the lover James deserves. You'll take care of each other I know you will."
He sighed again and stood up from the bench. He started to walk towards the staircase of the astronomy tower before he turned around and found the star again.
"Happy Graduation Siri," he whispered, "Goodbye."
