Chapter Text

After a few weeks, Chuck and Taylor were pretty much best friends. Chuck knew everything about Taylor — from his fear of spiders to his addiction to video games — and Taylor knew the same about Chuck: that he was a famous model and an adorable pineapple enthusiast.

Peggy, Taylor’s coworker, couldn’t stand having to listen to Taylor talk about Chuck all the time. At some point, she thought he was getting way too excited.
So she said,
“Taylor, for God’s sake! All you ever do is talk about this guy. If you talk about me to him as much as you talk about him to me, I actually feel sorry for him.”

Taylor: “Peggy, I’m just happy about my new roommate. And I haven’t even talked that much!”
Peggy: “You literally told me that when he gets drunk, he looks at you like you’re his boyfriend, haha.”
Taylor: “Okay… maybe I did talk a little too much.”
Peggy: “Look, Tay, I’m happy you’re getting along with your boyfriend...”
Taylor: “Friend. FRIEND!”
Peggy: “HAHAHA! You should’ve seen your face. But seriously, calm down, dude. You’re way too hyped. Chill and work, then you can tell me more about Chuck.”
Taylor: “Okay, okay… Look, there’s an order from Quinn. Guess who’s taking it today?”
Peggy: “You!”
Taylor: “What? Why me?”
Peggy: “Oh, come on. You know very well that last time I took her order, she gave me a miserable tip. According to her, the sausage was undercooked and the sauce was too spicy. And in her words: ‘You always mess up my order. Next time, I want that gamer boy to take it, okay?’”
Taylor: “Gamer boy??”
Peggy: “Yeah, your reputation has spread around the city, Tay.”
Taylor: “Alright, fine. I’ll take her order.”
Peggy: “Just be careful not to put pineapple on her order, or she’ll kill both of us.”
Taylor: “Haha, very funny.”

A few minutes later, Taylor took Quinn’s order — and surprisingly, she loved it.

Quinn: “Finally! Someone managed to get it right. What’s your name?”
Taylor: “It’s Taylor.”
Quinn: “Well, Taylor, thank you so much. If you ever need a lawyer, you can count on me. Oh, and tell the cowgirl she needs to make better hot dogs.”
Taylor: “Okay, I’ll let her know, hehe.”
Peggy: “Ugh, you traitor!”
Taylor: “Relax, Peggy. You know we have to treat the customers well. I was just doing what Papa Louie always tells us.”
Peggy: “Well then, I want you to teach me how to get that grumpy lawyer’s order right.”
Taylor: “Maybe another day. We’ve only got ten minutes left before we can leave.”
Peggy: “Fine. You’ve talked so much about this Chuck that now I’m curious to meet him.”
Taylor: “That would be awesome. I’ll tell him. Maybe we can meet up somewhere.”
Peggy: “Okay, Tay. Tell me, who introduced you to this Chuck?”
Taylor: “Utah.”
Peggy: “No way. I talk to her too, and she never mentioned him.”
Taylor: “Well, that’s because he only moved here recently.”
Peggy: “Ah, got it. Bye, Taylor. See you tomorrow.”
Taylor: “See ya.”
