Work Text:

Carmelo was currently stuck on the couch as some dumb 2010's show played. Why? Because Rudolph Richardson was currently asleep on his shoulder.

The way he got in this predicament.. well... was less than savory. Carmelo was originally just hanging out with Dino in the woods. Emilio and Francis having left off to who knows where. He was about to call it a night when the same kid he bullied came running into his arms. Carmelo could tell by his reaction that some bad shit had gone down minutes before. He had tried to coax an explanation out of Rudy, but he only got told that the latter had been attacked in the woods. Rudy had no reason to trust Carmelo, after all, Carmelo had been bullying Rudy since he got to the school. Even then, Rudy trusted Carmelo to go to his house, which is what leads us to here.

To say Carmelo was freaking out was an understatement, his heart was beating faster than when Emilio fucking decked him in the nose with a flashlight earlier that night. Since Francis hadn't answered his calls earlier, Carmelo had absolutely no idea what to do– having basically no intimate experience. Carmelo could still see makeup from what must've been from Rudy's costume, some near his eyes and what was clearly tear marks.

The only thing that was going through Carmelo Milan DeMonte's mind was:

"OH FUCK! OH FUCK! OH FUCK! OH FUCK!—"

...

You get the point. Carmelo was on the edge of the grand canyon with how stiff and nervous he was. His face was heated up so much you could probably cook an egg on it. He tried to focus on the show, he couldn't tell what it was but it seemed to be one of those reality shows like Dance Moms or Jersey Shore, long episodes with conflicts between characters every ten minutes. Carmelo's mind traveled from the tv and was debating on whether or not to bring Rudy back to the Richardson house or let him stay the night at his house, and try his best to explain to his mom and dad why there's a random kid on their couch.

As Carmelo's mind ran, thoughts after thought, anxiety on which decision would be better, he felt Rudy shift.

"Stop being so tense, I'm trying to sleep."

...

Maybe he could deal with his parents in the morning.
