Work Text:
The warmth of the season fills the Constant's air, and the sun shines ever so brightly. Wilson and Winry were busy cleaning up around the camp, making things look a bit more tidy especially the inside of their tent.
"This is better than fighting off hordes of vicious hounds... I'd consider this an unwind time." Winry said.
"Absolutely. I'd take helping cleaning up and organizing over that, it feels like we're doing what we'd do at home right now."
Wilson folded up the extra clothes they had made, storing them in the chest for clothes. It made her think about her old home, wondering what she'd do now if they were back.
"Hey Wilson.. do you ever think about the future and what it's like?" Winry asked.
She looked over from the chest. "Sometimes yes, I think about if it'd be technologically or scientifically advanced. Do you think about it too?" She added.
"Yes but, I mainly wondered if you knew what you wanted to do in the future.. like plans."
She thought for a moment, questions like these often make her want to have the best answer possible especially with a lot of thought. The future was something Wilson and Winry always talked about together.
"Well, I'd love to have a science related job, or even be a doctor. But if I'm unable to have any of those I'd go for the next best option, which is whatever would be available." Wilson replied.
As Winry finished hanging up the cloth to dry, she joined in next to her to talk about her idea for a future too.
"My dream for the future, is for us to have a beautiful home.. and for me to have my own job of opening a flower shop, just like my mother dreamed of. To have a loving family, and make many memories together." Winry said happily.
Wilson loved the idea, she'd do anything to make that dream come true when they'd eventually escape. It's the one thing she wants the most, to make Winry happy and spend eternity like that.
"I wish for that too dear.. I wish to spend my life with you everyday, to live with you to the fullest." She rested her hands in Winry's.
Winry held onto her, enjoying the moment and time she was having, conversations like this are what draw her even closer to Wilson. They're special, they have meaning, and they are lovely things to think about.
"Do you remember when, I gave you the promise ring? And how wonderful it was.. to seal our future with it?" She asked.
Wilson smiled at the memory, it was one she thinks about all the time. Looking at the promise ring makes her hopeful for what awaits them. "I do, that day was special and I hold it dear to my heart. To wear our future.. that we have created, it brings me hope for all sorts of good things to come." Wilson said warmly.
The two layed down in the warm grass, hand in hand, looking up at the cloudy sky. Reminiscing about memories they shared together and made, all the things that lead them up to this point together.
"I remember when I first ever met you here.. you found me in the forest peaking behind a tree, observing you. That's when you told me that I appeared in your dream, that you saw a lady who looked just like me.. and you told me I was exactly that. You told me I was beautiful..." Winry said.
"That day felt magical, I never had felt so enchanted by someone before. But you my dear, you changed that so much. You've changed me in so many amazing ways, I feel genuinely safe talking to you." Wilson admitted.
She rolled over close to Winry and held her, Winry wrapping her arms around Wilson's body. Holding her close and embracing her warmth.
"Aww.. I'm glad that you feel better around me, I was quite shy of you too. I knew how I felt but I just didn't know how to express myself.. and was afraid if you'd accept me or not." Winry said shyly.
"I had a feeling deep down the same way you did. But apart of me wasn't sure if you felt the same way, so when you told me your feelings, it felt angelic. The way you held me, and spoke to me, it all made my heart skip a few beats." She chuckled.
"Hehehe.. do you think I'm an angel love..?" She joked, cupping the side of her face gently.
Wilson reached for her hand. "You are the sweetest, most kind one the heavens could've ever sent down to me." Wilson whispered.
She's a light shade of pink, laughing happily at her answer. Wilson gently pats her back as she laughs, it makes her heart feel whole to hear her love so delighted and happy, it's a feeling she could never want gone.
"Remember when we danced together..? That night was so romantic and sweet, it reminds me of a story I once read.. straight out of a fantasy." Winry said.
"Another beautiful memory, we aren't the best dancers but we still had fun doing it together. I loved holding you like that, and having all the tiny stars in the sky look down at us." Wilson replied.
She rests her forehead against Winry's, the two lost in eachothers eyes full of love and delight. Their hearts in sync, their hands holding eachother, and their warmth shared.
"There aren't enough stars in the night sky that could ever express how much I love you... my love is forever and eternal for you." Winry whispered.
"You mean the whole world to me darling, and even that's not enough for me to express it. I love you more than anything, and I will always want you to be happy and be cared for by me. And I promise to take care of you forever until we're both ghosts, lost souls roaming the earth, I'll still love you." Wilson said.
Winry's eyes teared up a little bit, her words moved her heart in ways she didn't think was possible. She hugged her tightly and cried quietly.
"Such a beautiful sentence.. I didn't know you could say such beautiful things to me love, things nobody else has ever told me before." She said wobbly.
Wilson ran her fingers through her hair, and rocked back and forth as she held her. "I am capable of many things my dear, and one of them is telling you many loving things to give to your heart." Wilson replied.
She gave a kiss to her forehead, resting against her body in their moment. "Moments like these.. bring me joy, to express such happiness and love. I never want it to stop." Winry said.
"Then let's continue having these moments.. for the rest of our lives, till the very end." She whispered.
Wilson wiped Winry's eyes, comforting her and letting her express all her feelings. Her tears of joy made her feel that a bit too, they always shed so many happy tears together in their times.
They remained laying together and cuddled up, loving eachother and being warm. Their loving moments wouldn't ever stop, these would last forever and make many memories for them to treasure in their hearts. Wilson and Winry have a bond that is so strong and full of love, not even the dangers of the Constant could ever stop them or tear them away from one another's arms.
The End! (and happy Youson Week 2025!!!)
