After the defeat of Salem, Remnant could finally begin to rebuild itself and enter a new age of peace. With the Grimm having lost their Queen and their numbers reduced significantly, the kingdoms could finally recover.
The academies were rebuilt alongside their kingdoms. Vale opened the New Beacon Academy, New Mantle established the brand-new Asgard Academy, Haven Academy was upgraded and assigned a better Headmaster than Lionheart, and Shade Academy reopened its doors to train new Huntsmen and Huntresses in this time of peace.
These academies welcomed brave new students eager to hunt Grimm and protect Remnant. Among them was one such team currently sitting in a New Beacon classroom—though not for class. It was being used as a detention room, and the team in question was Team BLUE.
"I told you, Lisa, that this was a horrible idea!" said Arthur Blanche, leader of Team BLUE, now stuck in detention thanks to his teammate.
"But you agreed with the idea too, Arthur! So why are you only mad at me?!" replied Lisa Marron, Arthur’s partner and demolitions expert of Team BLUE.
"Yeah, but I didn’t think you'd actually use a frickin’ Bullhead for target practice!" Arthur snapped. He had agreed to the idea of going to the practice range—but he never expected Lisa to blow up a Bullhead. Needless to say, they were in big trouble.
"That was the first time I’ve seen Professor Valkyrie get mad about an explosion," said Jack Umbra, recalling the look on Nora Valkyrie’s face when she found out what happened. "But yeah, Arthur’s right, Lisa. Why would you think using a Bullhead as target practice was a good idea in the first place?"
"I thought the bigger and harder the target, the better! And what better than a Bullhead?" said Lisa, clearly tired of being blamed—though she knew she was to blame. "But come on, you can’t say it wasn’t fun watching that explosion!"
"It was kind of cool," muttered Emily Dark, the last member of Team BLUE. "But I would have preferred being in the dorm, wrapped in blankets, watching a movie marathon. But I can’t, thanks to someone who thought it was a good idea to fire a rocket launcher that turns into a flamethrower at a Bullhead. Thanks again, Lisa."
While the members of Team BLUE bickered over who was to blame for the incident, none of them noticed that the professor assigned to supervise their detention had entered the classroom.
"Hello, and good evening, Team BLUE," said the professor.
The whole team snapped to attention at the sound of his voice. The professor wore a black-and-white suit with golden details. His blond hair was tied back in a low ponytail.
"Hello, Professor Arc," said Arthur, greeting him.
"Hello, Mr. Blanche. I think you and your team know why you're here," said Jaune, his tone firm as he sat on the professor’s desk.
"Who are you?" asked Lisa, confused.
"YOU DON’T KNOW WHO THE SHIELD OF REMNANT AND THE RUSTED KNIGHT IS?!" shouted Emily, startling her teammates—and even Jaune himself. After seeing their reactions, she sheepishly added, "Sorry. I just got really excited. I didn’t know the Rusted Knight was a professor at Beacon!"
"No need to apologize, Ms. Dark," Jaune said with a small smile. "I don’t usually teach first and second years. The only time I do is for the Leadership class, which is only for team leaders. That’s why Mr. Blanche knows me. Also, I’m really not that cool, Ms. Dark. Nora tends to exaggerate my abilities. She always was like—" Jaune scratched the back of his neck.
"Wait... Nora, like Nora Valkyrie?" asked Lisa, still confused.
"HOW CAN YOU BE SO IGNORANT?! YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW ABOUT TEAM JNPR?!" shouted Emily, her rage peaking again.
And so, Jaune began to share stories—some epic, some less so—about Team JNPR and Team RWBY. Team BLUE listened intently to the tales of heroism, mistakes, friendship, and battles.
That was until the door suddenly opened.
In walked the cold beauty of Atlas, CEO of the New SDC—Weiss Schnee. She entered the room with the grace of a queen and an aura that could make even an Ursa bow. She wore a sleek business outfit, her signature side ponytail perfectly in place, and of course, her famous tiara.
Without hesitation, she walked straight to Jaune and leapt into his arms.
"Jaune! Why are you still here? It’s late—you should be home!" Weiss said as she sat on Jaune’s lap, a pout on her face.
"I know, Weiss. I promised I’d be home soon, and I’ll cook your favorite meal," Jaune replied.
"And we’ll cuddle while watching the extended version of Lord of the Gauntlets! And we’ll go shopping to get Taz a new shark costume!" she added.
"Yes, we will, dear," Jaune said, kissing her forehead. Then he checked his watch. "Well, Team BLUE, detention is over. You may return to your dorm. Have a good night."
Jaune and Weiss left the classroom hand-in-hand.
Team BLUE, however, remained frozen in stunned silence, processing what had just happened. They sat unmoving for three more hours.
Eventually, Oscar Pine, the Headmaster of New Beacon Academy, found them.
"This is the third time a team has been so shocked to learn that Jaune and Weiss are married, they just freeze in place," Oscar muttered. "I really need to talk to Weiss about this..."
