Mitsi had one thing she wanted: a family, which unfortunately the “Cursor” could not give her. So she asked the Green Star to give her a family, and Mitsi’s wish came true.
Mitsi POV

Chapter 1: When I saw you, I knew it right away.

Chapter Text

“Hello, I’m Mitsi.” When she opened her eyes… all she knew was her “name” and “that thing”, which was “Cursor.” Mitsi’s big round eyes stared at her creator God with excitement and joy, but at the same time, she was also filled with doubt. God… no, did Cursor create her with love? But it must be love, right? Mitsi reminded herself, looking around the green grass and the blue sky. There were white clouds floating around, so lovely and beautiful.

“Wow! So lovely. Thank you, Cursor!” Mitsi said sincerely.

The touch of the grass on her bare feet, although a bit hard, made her feel refreshed. It was like nature, the various touches that gradually appeared made Mitsi want to move.

“Hey, Cursor! What should we do? Let’s play!” She asked curiously, looking at the white cursor’s body moving back and forth. There was a click, click sound. A new box appeared as her body slowly moved.

“Oh! Shall we dance? I love dancing so much!” Mitsi didn’t just love it. She believed that she “loved” it. Why wouldn’t anyone love dancing? The body moving out, catching the wind and the sunlight, full of life and happiness, like a dream. She could dance like this forever… Mitsi had thought so. But as she stepped on the hard ground that didn’t look like grass at all, like a ballet doll moving to a music box playing a beautiful, lovely song, the fatigue set in. Mitsi’s feet were too painful to move anymore.

“Hey, Cursor,” Mitsi called out, feeling short of breath as she finally took a break from dancing.

“Shall we play something else? Can you play with me?” She asked, panting, looking up at the cursor floating above. But there was no response. There was silence. There was no wind or birdsong… only clicks, clicks. And soon… everything went dark, leaving Mitsi standing alone in a vast, unchanged field.

“...” Mitsi clutched the hem of her skirt, looking at her reddened feet. The pain and weakness made her slowly sit on the floor and then lay down. She didn’t know what to do. She couldn’t even dance anymore, her feet were too weak. This place was filled with cold and scary darkness. Maybe… if she made herself smaller, she would feel warmer. Mitsi thought so, hugging her knees and closing her eyes… Maybe if she lay down, time would pass faster. Mitsi thought so, and wished that morning would come soon.

The morning came with a click, click sound that made Mitsi rub her eyes and yawn loudly.

“Good morning, Cursor,” Mitsi greeted, stretching her arms, which was great because her feet were no longer sore.

“What should we do today? Oh! Can I suggest something? Can I! Can you play with me, Cursor? I’ll be a good girl. Please!” Mitsi pleaded. She clasped her hands together in front of her chest and tilted her head to one side, but Cursor still did the same thing. That was floating around and making a sound, click, click.

“...Oh... are we going to dance again... okay?” Mitsi said with a feeling of disappointment. Maybe... if she did as the cursor wanted, maybe the cursor would be kind enough to come and play with her... but she was wrong. No matter if she danced or spun or even waved her hands and made funny gestures... the cursor kept floating around, making a sound, clicking and clicking, as if the cursor couldn't see Mitsi or... didn't care about her at all. Even though all around her were the vast green fields as far as the eye could see, the blue sky and white clouds that didn't move, there wasn't even the sound of birds or the wind... there was only silence and

click

click.

“Hey, cursor, answer me,” Mitsi asked even though she knew she would never get an answer. The clicking, clicking continued as Mitsi's body slowly moved, but her heart that was once full of happiness and full of life was left with only sadness and... emptiness. But if she didn't ask, didn't say anything, that thing would stay in her heart like that. If it would turn out that way... Mitsi would rather she just say it, even if she didn't get an answer.

“...Can you make me a... family?” Mitsi let out an expectant breath... even though it was broken by a click click click...

“...Okay... Dance again,” Mitsi slowly exhaled as the sounds started again. Like everything else, she hid away from the box where the cursor couldn’t see and jumped out with a big smile. Jumped, jumped and spun, clasped her hands together and smiled at the cursor. Ending the repetitive performance again, looking at the cursor that had stopped in front of her before disappearing again, leaving Mitsi all alone... looking out at the fake grassland and the fake sky and the fake clouds, hoping for a breeze to blow through.

...so lonely Mitsi felt that way...and knew that even though her world looked bright and beautiful...it was empty and lonely.

"...I want a family," Mitsi said without knowing who she was talking to. If there was something more powerful than the cursor who had opened her eyes to the world...

Would that person be able to give it to her? But there was no answer for Mitsi. Silence was what happened to her as she had to go back to making a smiling face for the cursor to be satisfied again. Maybe he or she would kindly create a family for her...or play with her to relieve her loneliness...

But then...there was one thing that had happened in Mitsi's whole life...the green stars drifted past her eyes. They danced around her, joyful and full of life...was it wrong for her to feel jealous...negative feelings that didn't seem right for her. But what could she do? She was just an ordinary sticker figure, not born with a code that made her the chosen one or the terrifying Dark Lord...just a Victim (Mitciv), a victim who only wanted love from Her creator cursor, wanted a family so she wouldn't have to live in loneliness.

If the dejected star could grant her a wish... what would Mitsi wish for? She thought as the green stardust slowly surrounded her body...

"I wish..." No, she hesitated...

"I want to have my own younger brother." I want to have something to protect. I want to have a reason to not be just a victim. I want to have something to love. I want to have a family... and when I have those things... I don't want anything else.

She closed her eyes and let the light consume her. The stinging pain in the soles of her feet was relieved as her body floated aimlessly. Not being able to see what was happening made Mitsi feel uncontrollably afraid... like the anxious cries that came from far away. Mitsi was curious but she didn't dare to open her eyes to look into the emptiness. But because of those cries... she had to open her eyes and see... him, staring back at her with confusion and fear.

As soon as I saw you... I knew immediately...

It was like a dream that had just disappeared as quickly as she blinked. The image she saw was forgotten as if she had woken up from a dream... Leaving behind only the feeling of something in her chest... In her chest that was screaming. But what was it? Mitsi involuntarily touched the center of her chest as she closed her eyes again, trying to remember that face and the desires she had for those green stars.

When I saw you... I knew immediately that

You and I...

When Mitsi opened her eyes again... The things around her... were so different from the vague memories of her dream... Everything was damp... The smell of grass and soil. She couldn't see anything except a thick, dark fog, but not so thick that she couldn't see her own palms.

As her hands touched her body, the green mist entered her nose as she breathed. She sneezed loudly, calling for her to brush it away as she shook her face from side to side before the corner of her eye saw something... no... someone.

"!!" Mitsi gasped and jolted with all her might. She looked left and right quickly and noticed that the surroundings where she was were not normal at all... Not far away, there was a big tree and the remains of a... rocket that had been dug into the ground to make a white path. Its parts were scattered everywhere.

"What is going on here..." Mitsi asked herself in confusion before she was shocked again when the person lying there was moving and making a muffled sound.

"Ah, eh, uh, are you... okay?" But before Mitsi could finish her sentence,

"AHHH!" He shouted and swatted her hand away. The sound that came out indicated that he was a boy, not a girl  like her, even though he had long hair. And seeing his face... Mitsi remembered what she wanted in her dream.

It was like sending a mirror to each other... even though they were not the same, inside, they were the same.

Both had the same skin color, but he was paler.

Both had the same hair color, but he was lighter.

Both had the same mole under their eyes, but they were on the opposite side of her.

Like opposite sides of each other, who had finally met...

“Please!” he cried out, his body shaking.

“Please don’t hurt me, I’m scared, please! Don’t hurt me.” Despite their different appearances… they were like inverted reflections of each other… broken, trying to heal themselves from invisible wounds… and not knowing when they would be healed… As soon as she saw the face of the person in front of her… Mitsi knew immediately, and remembered what she wanted in the vague dream she had created by her god.

“Don’t be afraid!” Mitsi said as she extended her hand to him.

“Because your sister is here!”

“...My sister...?” He repeated as the tears streaming down his face stopped, looking at the figure in front of him that was full of smiles and warmth that spread like the sun from a small star. That palm received the hand that was extended for the first time in his life, wanting to have it finally.

“Um! I’m Mitsi!” Mitsi introduced herself and pulled the other person up. The two of them stood up. They were not much different in height. It was no wonder that she and he were...

“I’m your twin sister. Do you know what “twin” means? It means that we are siblings.” He stared at her with eyes that could not believe what he heard. It shouldn’t be strange because the two of them were too different to be “twins”. But, there are twins with different cursors, right?

“Welcome to the family…” Ah… Why can’t I remember my twin brother’s name?

“Victim,” her twin brother, no, Victim, said.

“Victim?” Mitsi repeated the words curiously, not liking the feeling of that voice. Why was Cursor so cruel, giving her twin brother such a name? To say that he had switched it back after Mitciv to Victim would be too cruel. No! Very cruel, too cruel. But the two of them were no longer under Cursor’s shadow, right? And as his older sister.

“Welcome to the family, Vic! From now on, that will be your name!” Mitsi smiled and held those two hands gently but firmly. The body that used to tremble from fear of everything slowly changed… instead, tears made her panic, but she didn’t dare to let go because she was afraid that if she let go… what she had always wanted would be taken away. Her only family in the world.

“Welcome to the family too… Mitsi,” Victim, no, Vic, said with a smile. One hand moved to wipe away his uncontrollable tears. Seeing that they were not tears of sadness made Mitsi feel relieved. And above all... finally... finally someone, or something, had listened to her want. And as long as there was Vic in this world, where there was Mitsi, there would be Vic. And likewise, where there was Mitsi, there would be Vic. Because...

The moment I saw you... I knew right away that we would be “family” forever.
