It is a Saturday evening nearing the middle of winter and beginning of spring, extremely cold and rainy outside. Sakura Mamiya sat at her desk doing homework as she listened to the wind and downpour.
"Hm. I wonder how Rokudo-kun is handling the weather..."
She was a bit worried about him, and Rokumon, given their lack of proper housing or anything to keep themselves warm. She decided it would be best to go check on him and see if he needs anything.
Rokudo sits in the abandoned club building shivering under a pile of newspapers. The roof of the club building was blown off an hour earlier, leaving him and Rokumon(who just left to try and sleep in any random persons house) exposed to the downpour of rain and strong winds.
"Rokudo-kun?" Sakura says as she walks in,
"S-S-Sakura... Mamiy-y...a"
"Oh my,"
Sakura gasps slightly as she sees the state he's in.
"Rokudo-kun... And where's Rokumon?"
"H-hes fine. Don't worry about him"
She pauses for a moment, "Would you like to come to my house...?"
Rokudo nods quickly, pushing himself up from the pile of newspaper to stand, still shivering quite an amount. Sakura grabs his hand and they start walking home, rather quickly as to not catch a cold or get more wet than they already are. Rokudo is absolutely delighted, he sniffles a bit, "Th-Thank you. Sakura Mamiya"
"Yknow... You can just call me Sakura right. If you wanted..."
"Ah... S-Sakura..."
They arrived at her house, walking inside and taking off their shoes. "My mom's not home by the way, she works really late today." Sakura remarks, "Oh and do you want some different clothes or something... You're soaked, we should probably wash that track suit too."
Rokudo blushed a little and was pleasantly surprised at the idea of another pair of clothes to wear, "Really!? Y-yes. Please. I'd be honoured. Thank you." Sakura grins a little, "Okay then give me a minute!"
She walks into another room and digs through some drawers to find him some clothes to sleep in. She comes back and hands him a large plain t-shirt and some tartan pajama pants. Rokudo is delighted when she passes the clothes to him, then she shows him where the restroom is so he can get changed.
He puts on his "new outfit" and comes out of the bathroom, Sakura takes his track suit and puts it in the laundry. By now its dark outside, Sakura yawns as she shows Rokudo around the house and to her room. They stand in silence for a moment just enjoying eachothers company and the slight awkwardness of it all before Rokudo speaks,
"So uhm. Where could I sleep.?"
Sakura thinks for a moment. She already knows the answer, but is finding a hard time deciding whether or not she should say it or how. She takes a small breath,
"Well, you can sleep on the floor, or on the couch... uhm. I wouldnt mind if you. Slept with me though. In my bed"
Sakura cringes a little internally at that. She doesnt exactly explicitly say her feelings often and this is very bold and out of character for her. Rokudo doesnt quite process what she says for a moment, then blushes. He tries to play it off.
"Uhm yeah Im fine with sleeping on the floor"
Sakura pauses.
"Well... I dont really want you too..."
Rokudo nearly lost his mind at that. Definitely not showing it much but he is blushing quite a bit. He again, tries to be nonchalant about it,
"I mean... yeah i'll..sleep with you then.."
Sakura smiled a bit then grabbed his hand and dragged him besides her, she turned off the light and got into her bed as he followed behind her. They lay a bit awkwardly under the covers. The bed is somewhat small and they are looking right at eachother. Theyre so close they can feel there breaths mingling. Rokudo suddenly exclaims "Sorry, I should leave" and sits straight up. Sakura drags him back down gently, "N...no...". She layed on her side facing him as he laid on his side facing her. She put her arm around his waist and nuzzled herself against him as they lay down together. Rokudo was in heaven. A little embarrassed and confused at Sakura's boldness but definitely happy. He wrapped his arms around her as they held eachother closely.
They stayed there for a while, slowly relaxing their grips and drifting to sleep over the course of the night.
