Work Text:
A loud roar echoed throughout the warehouse.
Twisted Dandy chased after Boxten and Scraps as they quickly approached the elevator, the pitter-patter of their footsteps only served to anger him even more.
They couldn't get away with this, especially not after those greedy little nuisances selfishly kept those tapes to themselves! It wasn't his fault that they were being ungrateful about the items he sold in his shop. It shouldn't even matter- it was his shop! Those tapes belonged to him !
Whatever .
At that point it didn't even matter. Annoyingly enough, the toons were able to slip past him. Boxten dove head-first into the elevator, and Scraps was pulled in by Goob just behind him. And at that point, they were gone.
The elevator door slammed shut.
Twisted Dandy let out another roar. The metal made an awful shrieking noise as his claws scratched at where the elevator was previously.
'Stupid. Stupid. Stupid!'
He struggled as he tried to pull his talons out of the wall and as he fell back with an audible thud—
Clink!
Twisted Dandy’s ears perked up when he suddenly heard the noise behind him.
It was Rodger’s capsule.
Despite his blurry vision, he could tell that the capsule wasn’t just like any other. The capsule was smaller than the others in height but it was much bulkier in width (and the usual roll of film didn’t seem to be wrapped around this one).
Suddenly, a wave of concern washed over the much larger twisted as he quickly realized that he’d just kicked the other over!
The twisted’s large talons tried to move the capsule- pawing at it as gently as he could, fussing over him to try and check if he was okay.
Twisted Rodger, who was literally shaken up by all of this movement, popped out of the capsule.
“ ‘m.. fine…” Twisted Rodger rasped out, his eye squinted open to adjust to the fluorescent light overhead, which felt a little too bright (at least in his opinion).
Twisted Dandy let out a whine, something akin to how a hurt puppy would sound.
The larger twisted, seeing that Twisted Rodger was indeed unharmed (for the most part), curled up comfortably next to him. His shadow loomed Twisted Rodger just enough to block out the light that was irritating him. A deep purr came from Twisted Dandy (which seemed to calm the other down).
This was alright for now.
Even if stupid Vee would criticize his shop’s selection, or Shrimpo would yell at him for the umpteenth time again, it would be fine.
He could always try to squish the little gnats
again
or just leave them to die by the other twisteds, and if he failed
again
, well— he knew just the twisted toon he could crawl back to.
