This fic will retell the Geronimo Stilton, Secret Agent book, but as a Roleswap AU based on this post. Before that, I want to tell the things I thought of for this AU.
Origins
Geronimo somehow got recruited by MISSO. At first, he was hesitant of this, but eventually he gets the hang of it. However, his family grew suspicious of his constant disappearance, which made him worried. And that recently his nephew Benjamin almost gotten in danger during a mishap in missions, it worries him even more. In panic, he could only think of one solution; faking his death and move away.
Kornelius heard about his childhood friend's "death", and it breaks him. He cried for an hour. Holding the books Geronimo gave him as a gift (Based on this other post bloombird made haha), he set a goal to be an author, which what Geronimo told him what he wanted to be growing up during highschool.
Kornelius even applied a job at The Rodent's Gazette to gain more experiences in writing. He never met Geronimo's relatives before (aside from Aunt Sweetfur), but he was very sure that they were just as kind as Geronimo was.
He was wrong.
Facts
-Since The Rodent's Gazette is very far from the von Kickpaw estate, and there's one time where Kornelius keeps driving back and forth from home to TRG, he had to buy a temporary house (which is Geronimo's house from the main universe).
-Geronimo's family keeps forcing Kornelius to go with them anywhere they want due to him being an aspiring author reminds them of Geronimo. There's only one thing that prevent him from saying "no". He thought that this is what Geronimo would've wanted, to go on adventures with his family. Although, it might've been a manipulation from William, since Kornelius' scoops made TRG a huge hit.
-Thea took Geronimo's place as the editor, though she takes it less seriously (she's still a special correspondent).
-Trap pranks Kornelius just like what he do to Geronimo in the main universe. The difference is that Kornelius would always retaliate, either by direct attack or an another prank.
-Kornelius sometimes babysits Benjamin, the only Stilton family member that doesn't annoy him constantly, whenever Sweetfur had to go somewhere.
-William is still a manipulative bastard in this. He takes advantage of Kornelius' close relationship with Geronimo to make him do anything he wants.
-Kornelius lets his hair go messy and wears a more casual clothing, since he moved to New Mouse City he doesn't feel the need to look fancy anymore.
-Before this one, Geronimo was called "Mr. Stilton" in Kornelius' previous books.
-Geronimo lives in an unknown place somewhere in Mouse Island, though sometimes Veronica offered him to stayover at the mansion with her after missions. And with how he act around beautiful rodents, how can he refuse?
-Geronimo's not much of a scaredy-mouse as he is in the main universe... But he's still an awkward klutz.
-Geronimo uses contacts now because his glasses always gone missing during missions.
So, uh, that's it for now. And I'll start writing the first chapter very soon.
