In class
Peem has been staring at his canvas in disbelief for almost an hour. There is no way he is gonna get his work started anytime soon.
“So how long do you plan on just sitting here?” Q asked Peem while sketching; “I’m thinking about it, letting the inspiration strike at its own time.” “ So the night before the assignment it is then; again!” Q sighed; “ai Q don’t act as if you are not inspired because toey is here with you”
“You think toey is inspiring me” Q scoffed “he won't even look at me even if I called him” Toey didn’t even look up from whatever he was doing on his phone.
Hearing this, Fai who was sitting next to them called her junior “Nong toey what are you doing that's got you so engrossed?” Which not surprisingly just got a hmmm response from him. This was weird there is no way toey would ignore all three of them.
“Ai toey!!” All three decided to shout to get his attention and attention did they get; toey was so shocked that he almost threw his phone across the room. “Huh?? What happened ??? I wasn't stalking anyone”, toey said in a rushed manner.
“Toey show me your phone” “But p’Q I wasn’t really doing anything i was just looking out for hia peem i swear!” “Why would you be looking out for me?? What happened??” Peem asked, looking confused.
“You haven't seen it yet??” “Seen what??”

Everyone gathered around him to look at what the hell he was talking about. Toey pulls up a picture which apparently his boyfriend posted 10 mins ago. It was a selfie of phum with a girl probably at a cafe by the looks of it. “So what? they must be friends; he doesn't only hang out with beer and mick to be honest” Peem said, sounding almost defensive.
Q scoffed “he kinda does” Q said annoyingly; “Please phum has a lot of friends now” peem argued. “Who? us and his brother??” The urge to smack Q across his head was growing because no one gets to tease his puppy phum apart from him.
“OK OK no need to fight” Fai said thankfully interrupting; “They are friends by the looks of it Q but i’m also curious as to who she is; peem do you know her??” “No tbh i'm seeing her for the first time”
“I think i've met her before” all heads turned to look at toey “When?? So you do know her ; then why were you stalking her; why were you looking out for me” everyone started bombarding toey with questions.
“Oii i just said i think i've met her i'm not sure; that too few years back when i just met hia phum and hia fang at the start of my highschool; that is why i'm stalking her socials i thought maybe she looks a little different now”
“Ohh do you have her id ?? You should check her old pictures so you might know” Fai said excitedly. “Yes hia phum reshared her story and her account is ope-”
Peem snatched the phone out of his hand and started looking at her profile. “Looking a bit serious there friend” Q teased but peem decided to ignore him for now
Peem scrolled for a long time until he found the pictures dated back to their high school or school period. But what shocked him the most was it wasn’t just a single picture it was a series of like 10 to 20 posts; images captured from various locations, some in uniform, some outside, few group pictures with phum, fang, beer and mick but the most of the pictures were of her and phum even few solo pictures of phum posted on her account.
Peem was silent the whole time but toey suddenly explained “oohhhh i remember now she is hia phum and fang’s family friend who was in the same school but shifted abroad because of her father’s business. She is the only child so the whole family shifted together; I remember her because she was also the one who saved me from the bullies on my first day at highschool but I never got to meet her again. I think she is older though she was in hia fang’s class.”
Everyone let the information sink in, then looked at the pictures again, silence stretched over them until Q said “you think she is his ex right ??”
“She could be but that doesn't matter right now as phum is in love with peem and they are happily dating.” Fai said, giving an encouraging smile.
Peem who still didn't look convinced just shook his head “ooi i'll just ask him when i meet him for lunch now.”
“Wait wait we all should go, let me call others, if she was fang’s friend I'm pretty sure tan would love to meet her. Maybe we can ask them first before phum arrives.” Q said surprisingly for someone who refuses he is not interested in anything.
“Do you want to know about her because of peem or you are just jealous that nong toey was stalking her” Fai decided to tease Q. Q completely ignored her while calling tan “ai tan lets meet for lunch where are you ?? Engineering cafeteria, ok we will be right there, call others.” “Let's go quick, you will get your answers there.”
“Hold on Q, toey you never told me her name, her id is not much of a use” peem said.
“Maggie”
