Chapter Text

Finally after being done with the Hunter families, Cale got to rest. His slacker life, he had finally reached his dream of being a slacker forever.

'Slacker is best'

Cale was slacking off on his bed when he heard the clinging of a cup next to him.

'EEK!!'

He saw his butler Ron standing there with a cup of honey lemon tea in his hand. He had a benign smile on his face as usual. He offered the cup of tea in his hand to Cale.

'Since when was he here'

Cale was absolutely not in the mood to drink this bitter tea but Ron had such a vicious look on his face. Cale had no choice but to accept the cup of tea because he thought that if he refused this old man would definitely rip him to shreds. The children were in the same room snickering at Cale. They were playing around in the room.

Looking at Ron, Cale remembered that he had to talk with this vicious old man and his vicious son. He had been trying to talk to them for a while now but something always came up, now that he was finally done with everything he thought that he should probably talk to this duo.

Ron, with his sharp senses sensed that something was bothering his puppy young master.

"Is something bothering you young master-nim?"

Cale flinched. He looked at Ron who had an extremely benign smile on his face. He thought that he should probably talk to them right now. He didn't have anything to do and since Ron was his butler, he also seemed to be free. They already had breakfast so Beacrox shouldn't be busy either. But should he really do it?

"Young master-nim?"

"Hmm...Ron can you call your son over?"

Ron looked at his young master with a curious gaze then nodded and left to invite his son.

'It should be fine right?...'

Raon looked at his human curiously. He thought that his human always seemed scared of his butler but this time he seemed a little extra scared than usual.

"Human! What are you doing?"

Cale looked at the children he thought that since he's finally going to disclose everything why not just tell everyone. That way he won't have to do this again.

"Raon can you also call Choi Han and Eruhaben-nim?"

"I will call him but Human what are you-!"

"Wait! Are you going to tell them?!"

Cale thought that Raon was getting really smart everyday. It must be because of Eruhaben. He nodded his head at Raon which made Raon a little anxious as well. On and Hong looked at his reaction curiously and wondered what was happening.

After a few minutes, everyone had gathered into the room.

"What is it?"

Eruhaben asked curiously. He had a bad feeling for some reason. Why would this unlucky bastard assemble everyone like this. After seeing everyone in the room Choi Han had a hunch about what was going to happen.

"How is everyone doing?"

"We're fine you unlucky bastard, more importantly what are you doing?"

"I hope everyone is eating well, I'm a transmigrator"

"We are eating perfectly fi- huh?"

"..."

The room became deadly silent. Eruhaben thought that he heard wrong and was clearing his ears but when he saw the look on everyone else's face he thought that maybe he didn't hear wrong. He looked at Cale who was sitting their calmly after dropping such a huge bomb.

"My name is Kim Rok Soo, I'm from Earth, I was 36 years old when I suddenly suddenly woke up in Cale Henituse's body and I have lived as Cale Henituse since then"

"..."

"I see"

Ron was the first one to break the silence. He had a complicated expression on his face. Cale had never seen such an expression on his face.

"Mm...I wish to tell you something as well"

Choi Han thought that he should probably drop da bomb as well. Everyone looked at Choi Han.

"I traveled through dimensions when I was about 17 years old and I'm actually much older than I look"

"He's right Choi Han is a total elder, he's probably even older than Ron"

Just then they heard the door open. Choi jung soo and Sui Khan walked in.

"Ah that's right, Choi Jung Soo and Sui khan who was formerly Lee Soo hyuk are my friends. I used to live with them and Choi Han is Choi jung soo's paternal cousin once removed"

"That's right Choi jung soo is my nephew"

The room became deathly silent again. The two new individuals who had just came in seemed confused out of their minds. In fact everyone seemed to be deep in thought.

"...Are you finished?"

Eruhaben finally asked. His mind was a mess right now but he was more concerned about Ron and Beacrox since they actually lived with the real Cale Henituse. Eruhaben had only met and loved the Present Cale. He was the one who was like his child but it was different for Ron and his son.

"Yes"

"I don't mind this, you're the you I met so it doesn't change anything"

"That's right! You're the one who saved us nya you will always be the same to us"

On and Hong also agreed but they were also aware that it was different for others.

The vicious duo, everyone was looking at them now. They thought that everything finally made sense now. How their young master's attitude had changed all of a sudden and everything else.

"It must have been when you brought Choi Han to the fief"

Beacrox was mumbling to himself. After a long pause Ron finally said something. His face was expressionless.

"What happened to my young master?"

"He is living in my body. He is happy and he wants to continue living like this"

"Hmm"

After that he left the room, his son followed after him. The room was silent yet again. No one knew what to say. A thought suddenly crossed Hong's mind. He asked with a little hesitation.

"Do you...want to go back nya?"

This questions was directed towards both Cale and Choi Han. Cale was the first to answer.

"No, I'm happy here I don't want to go back"

"Same goes for me"

Hong visibly looked relieved after hearing their response. Everyone else had also finally come to their senses.

"Do you think everything will be fine?"

Choi jung soo asked with concern. Everyone else in the room had the same thoughts. They didn't know what Ron and Beacrox would be like after this. Just then they heard the door open again. The duo came back. They seemed to have discussed things over with each other.

"Can we talk to our young master?"

They asked without any hesitation.

"Yes, in fact we can go meet him. I was planning on going there soon anyway"

Cale thought that it's about time he went back and retrieved that
thing.

Chapter Text

After nagging the God of death for a while, Cale finally convinced him to send his group to Earth. They were all prepared and ready to leave. The group included Cale, Choi Han, Ron, Beacrox, Raon, On and Hong. Sui khan was staying behind since he was busy with his family and Choi jung soo could not go with them since he was dead on Earth and could not be seen again. Eruhaben said that he would stay behind to watch over the castle.

"Have a nice trip"

They said their goodbyes to everyone and prepared to leave.

"Everyone gather around"

The group stepped into the circle and with a flash of dark light, they were gone. The first thing they saw was a man standing protectively in front of a child. He seemed ready to fight at any moment. They were in a living room.

"Who-"

"Long time no see"

"You-?"

Cale greeted Kim Rok Soo with a smile on his face. His eyes immediately darted towards the young girl behind Rok Soo. They made eye contact and Cale smiled towards her, which made the little girl flinch and hide behind the man. Rok Soo picked up the girl.

"Don't worry, these are my friends you should go to your room and sleep, it's getting quite late"

The girl nodded and sprinted towards her room. She peeked at the people who had suddenly appeared out of nowhere but she wasn't too worried since her uncle seemed relaxed. Shutting the door, she disappeared.

"H-human y-you had a daughter?"

"Huh?"

Raon looked shocked out of his mind. He couldn't believe what he just saw it was the same for the others while Cale just looked confused at Raon's question.

'I think they misunderstood!'

"No, that is not my daughter Raon. I've never even met her before"

"R-really?"

"Yes"

Cale firmly replied. How can I have a daughter I didn't even marry someone nor do I want to. Rok Soo chuckled at their misunderstanding.

"What are you doing here anyway? How did you even get here?"

Rok Soo peeked at Ron who was continually staring at him. He got the chills just from his gaze. Cale smiled brightly.

"You guys can have a lovely conversation! I will be right back."

"Cale-nim where are you going?"

Cale was quickly moving towards a room. He looked back and answered Choi Han.

"In my room"

With that brief reply he quickly headed towards his room.

"You do realize that it's my room n-"

The door shut after that. The atmosphere in the living room was quite awkward. Everyone was quiet and staring at Rok Soo.

"Please have a seat everyone"

"I'm going to explore this place nya!"

"Me too!"

The children busied themselves. Now only Ron, Beacrox, Choi Han and Og Cale remaind. Ron and Beacrox were still intently staring at Rok Soo especially at his scars. Choi Han felt that he shouldn't be here. Just at that moment the door opened and Cale stepped out, with a look of embarrassment and an awkward look on his face.

"Umm..Choi Han can you help me?"

"Ofcourse"

Choi Han didn't know what Cale wanted help with but he immediately agreed as this was his only chance to get out of this awkward situation. After they left their was silence for a brief moment then Ron finally spoke.

"Young master-nim...how are you?"

"I'm fine and you should call me Kim Rok Soo. I'm not the young master anymore"

"Right Kim Rok Soo. May I ask who that child was from before?"

"She was...I've adopted her. She's my mother"

"Pardon? Your mother?"

Beacroz seemd truly shocked after hearing that.

"Yes, my mother reincarnated in this world. She was an orphan, so I adopted her and have been taking care of her"

Rok Soo chuckled, while deep in thought.

"Pff, she calls me uncle"

Ron seemed to finally understand his puppy young master's thoughts.

"I'm glad you could meet your mother again young master-nim but why do you have so many scars?"

"Oh these...I already had these when I got transferred"

"I see"

Ron had an extremely benign smile on his face and his vicious gaze gave Rok Soo chills behind his back.

'My pendant'

Cale went into his room looking for his pendant. His mother had given him a pendant. She always told him to never loose it and always keep it with him. Kim Rok Soo could not do anything about it after he transmigrated into Cale Henituse's body since physical possessions did not get transferred with him.

He remembered that he had kept the pendant in a hidden safe behind the drawer right next to his bed, just before sleeping. He realized that og cale had not changed anything in his room. It looked the same as it did when he used to live here.

His pendant meant a lot to him since that was the only possession his parents had left behind for him. His motherfucking uncle had eaten up all of his inheritence. The pendant is the only thing he had.

He quickly moved the drawer but to his surprise the only thing he saw behind it was a wall. That's when he realized that the furniture had been shifted a bit and the place where the safe used to be is behind the bed now. He pushed the bed as hard as he could but the bed didn't even move an inch.

'....Am I really that weak?'

At that moment he heard some giggles. He turned around and saw that the children were giggling while looking at him.

'When did they even get here'

"Human! You really are weak!"

Cale started to frown. He thought that he had no choice but to ask Choi Han for help. After opening the door he saw that everyone was looking at him which made him feel even more embarrassed than he already was.

"Umm...Choi Han can you help me?"

Choi Han looked confused but he agreed immediately.

"Ofcourse"

Now back in the room Choi Han looked at Cale and asked.

"What do you want me to help you with?"

"Choi Han! The Human wants you to move that bed because he's too weak and he couldn't move it even an inch!"

"That's Right nya!"

Choi Han was visibly trying to contain his laughter which annoyed Cale even more. He just sighed. What else could he do?

"Haaa....so, can you do it?"

"Sure thing Cale-nim"

Choi Han immediately pushed the bed until he saw a safe in the wall. Cale opened the safe impatiently and looked in. He took out a pendant. Cale looked visibly relieved after taking the pendant and shoving it in his pocket. Choi Han wondered what this was but he contained his curiosity because he thought that this seemed private and he didn't want to invade someone's privacy.

"Alright let's go out and have dinner"

Cale stood up and dusted some dirt off his clothes. After leaving the room he was surprised to see that the three individuals in the living room really were having a lively chat. They seeme satisfied and happy. But for some reason Ron was staring at him extremely viciously.

"Oh you're finally here. I heard something move in there"

Kim Rok Soo smirked. If Raon saw this smile he would definitely sat that it looked like the crown prince and his human's smile when they were trying to scam someone.

"Did you find it?"

Cale smiled in response as well.

"I did and I'm hungry"

"Yes, of course I will bring some food right away"

Cale was still getting the chills from Ron's vicious gaze.

'Why is this vicious old man looking at me like that?...Did I do something wrong?'

"Young master-nim perhaps we should have a long chat after going home"

Ron looked at the scars on Kim Rok Soo's body after saying that with an extremely benign smile on his face.

'Oh.......'

Cale finally understood what this was about.

After having dinner, everyone seemed full and tired so they went in the rooms. It was already getting past midnight.

"Human, I like this place. It's comfortable"

After saying that Raon drifted off to sleep. Cale patted Raon as he fell asleep as well.  But little did he know, something completely unexpected was about to happen.

That Night,

Something happened that no one could have expected. Everyone was in a rush, panicking. The reason? Cale Henituse was missing.

Choi Han who was in the living room due to the lack of rooms in the house had been sleeping on the couch. In the middle of the night he woke up due to a little disturbance. He saw that the door to the room where Cale and the children were sleeping was open.

He quickly got up to check. When he looked in the room, he saw that Cale was missing. He was not on the bed. Only the children were sleeping soundly. Choi Han's heart started to beat loudly.

He calmed himself down. He shouldn't worry too soon. Cale probably went to the bathroom or something. He quickly searched the house making sure not to disturb anyone's sleep. But the more he searched, the more tense he became. Cale could not be found anywhere. He was not in the house.

Choi Han informed the others about this. He didn't want to disturb the children but he couldn't help it. The disturbance had caused the children to wake up as well.

Raon was the one who had woken up and immediately after he felt that the warmth beside him was gone. He shouted at the top of his lungs.

"WHERE IS MY HUMAN?!"

"It's okay Raon-nim. We are going to look for him now"

"I'm coming too!!"

"Where could the young master have gone at this time without telling anyone?"

Cale who was just sleeping soundly felt he was feeling extra warm and at peace today for some reason. He thought that it was probably because he came back home after a long time. He didn't give it much attention he just let the warmth in and fell asleep.

He had a dream.

He felt warm and nice in his dream. He felt that he was back in the time when his mother used to sing him a lullaby before bed, every night.

Not just the feeling he could actually hear a voice. He didn't understand what it was saying but as he followed the voice he figured out that it was the voice of a women singing.

'That's a beautiful voice..'

The voice kept reminding him of his mother. He unconsciously kept following it.

'Is it because I finally got my pendant back?'

Little did he know, this was not just a simple dream. His body in real life was in a state of trance. His body was moving just like it was in his dream.

He kept following the voice. As he got closer, the voice also started to get more clear. He could make out what the voice was saying bit by bit, which encouraged him to keep following the voice.

Cale had no idea that he was not even in his house anymore. He was out in a place where no one could be seen. There was a lake nearby. The only voice around this place was the sound of the lake.

Splash.

And Cale,

He was moving towards it. Towards the lake.

"Why would the Human go out alone at night?!"

Tap, tap, tap, tap....

Raon, On, Hong, Rok Soo, Ron, Beacrox and Choi Han. Everyone was moving quickly. They had come out of the house and were now following the trail of footsteps.

It was really dark, but as they kept running, following the trail, they could finally see a figure, walking slowly towards a lake. He kept walking. He did not stop.

"CALE-NIM!!"

"HUMAN STOOOPP!"

But unfortunately, they were too far away. They could not reach him in time.

SPLASH

He fell. He fell into the lake. Choi Han clenched his teeth. He was running as fast as he could. He was the first one to reach the lake and without an ounce of hesitation he jumped in.

Cale in his dream world suddenly saw that everything around him was shattering. As his surrounding shattered, the voice became dim, he felt cold and wet?.

'Why do I feel like I'm drenched in water?'

As the dream world shattered, right at the end he heard a voice. A very loud and clear voice which gave him goosebumps all over his body.

"Connect."

After that everything around him went dark. When he opened his eyes again. He was in water...

'I'm immersed in water?! Am I drowning?! Did someone try to kill me?!'

He was extremely shocked. He could have never expected himself to open his eyes after having a good night of sleep just to see himself drowning in water.

He quickly tried to swim up but there was absolutely no strength in his body. That's when he saw someone charging towards him.

Flinch.

'Wha-!'

When he saw closely again, he saw that it was only Choi Han. He quickly came. Put Cale on his back and swimmed up.

'That scared the shit out of me...'

After finally coming back on the surface, he saw that it was still night time and quite a lot of people were gathered around him. But he couldn't think about them much longer. He had no strength at all in his body right now. He felt the world darken.

'Haaa...shit'

After that he passed out.

They were back in the house. Cale was still unconscious. The atmosphere was glum. Everyone looked concerned. There seemed to be a huge misunderstanding here.

"Why would you jump in the water on purpose Human?"

Raon with an extremely concerned voice asked his human but he did not get a response. His human was quietly lying on the bed.

Ron had a very vicious look on his face.

"...Cale-nim looked really confused too so I don't think...."

Choi Han tried to clear the misunderstanding. Fortunately it looked like they believed him. But Cale would still have to face them when he wakes up.

Why does this always happen?'

Cale had woken up to Raon crying his eyes out on his chest, counting seconds like always. Cale always feels a tug in his heart when he sees Raon like this.

"Human, you are stupid!!"

"I'm fine, so don't worry"

"You always say that!!"

Cale patted Raon's head trying to console him. He wanted to reassure the dragon but it never seemed to work.

'Why won't he believe me when I say that I'm fine?'

Ron came in and offered him some lemon tea which ofcourse Cale had to accept.

"Young master-nim, what happened last night?"

"Mm.."

To be honest, Cale himself doesn't understand what happened last night. He was just having a dream and then he woke up just to find himself drowning. But the voice...the last thing it said was "connect". It felt like the voice was right beside his ear too so it actually scared him quite a bit.

Cale felt the gazes of his companions on him.

'I guess I don't have any other choice. I probably should tell them.'

Cale thought that he couldn't just make up an excuse and tell them that it was nothing. He had seen how Raon was acting. It looked like his companions may misunderstand something if he didn't tell them right now.

"I had a dream"

He finally spoke and everyone was focused on what he was saying.

"I heard a voice in it....it was very similar to...my mother's voice, so I followed it and when I woke up I was in water."

"Mm"

Choi Han groaned. It doesn't look like this is an excuse and it makes sense too. Raon slowly flew to Cale's side and settled on his lap.

"Human...do you miss your mom?"

"...a little."

"Don't worry Human, I will tell my mom"

'Why would you do that?'

Cale just patted Raon's head and didn't think too much about it.

After having breakfast. Cale went out to get some fresh air and think about what that voice meant. To be honest he had been thinking about what it meant for quite a while now and he had a theory. He had never had a dream like this before but he did used to hear his mother's voice in his dreams sometimes when he lived as Kim Rok Soo. He would only hear her mother singing but this time he heard her say "Connect".

He thought that the pendant surely had something to do with this, since he only had this type of dream again after getting his pendant back. He thought that the word connect probably meant that he had to connect something or someone with the pendant. It could be him that needs to connect to the pendant but he wasn't too sure about that because he had this pendant with him since his parents died and he already had a connection with the pendant. It must be something else.

While Cale was deep in thought, he didn't notice that the others were watching him through the window. They only sighed and left their red head to his thoughts.

Cale thought that the only thing that is related to this pendant is him. And thinking about himself suddenly the 20 year old Kim Rok Soo came to his mind. The Kim Rok Soo of Earth 2. Maybe that's what it meant. Surely that version of himself also has a pendant given to him by his mother. Maybe Cale had to connect him and his other version.

After coming to a conclusion, Cale decided to pay a visit to Earth 2 next.

'It looks like going back home has to be delayed. I can send the others home though. Yeah let's send them home and only take Choi Han with me.'

After explaining everything to his friends, he first prepared for their departure.

Thud

"No! Human I'm not leaving you alone! I'm going with you!"

Raon hit the table with his chubby paws and protested. A dent could be seen on the poor table. Cale thought that Raon had built up a bad habit of hitting tables whenever he got mad.

'I should stop him from doing that next time...'

"I won't go anywhere without you anymore!"

"Alright, you can come with us too, but you have to stay invisible the whole time"

"Hehehe I will stay invisible don't worry"

"Haaa"

Cale could only sigh at the stubbornness of this kid. Everyone said thier goodbyes to each other and Cale sent On, Hong, Ron and Beacrox back home. Now it was time for them to leave.

"Take care of the team"

"Sure"

Cale said his goodbyes as well and prepared his departure as well.

The first thing he was met with was a gun pointed right at him. Park Jin Tae was aiming a gun at them. He looked quite startled. He was just enjoying his cup of tea when all of a sudden a black light appeared out of nowhere.

"Heya"

Cale waved at him. Choi Han also smiled innocently and nodded to greet him. Park Jin Tae lowered his gun.

"You- how? Again?..hmm....I will call the others"

After a few minutes, Lee Soo hyuk and Choi jung soo entered the room.

"Hey, long time no see"

Lee Soo hyuk immediately came in and pulled Cale into a hug. Ofcorse Cale felt really awkward and embarrassed so the hug didn't last too long.

"Yes, how have you been, hyung"

"I've been great"

Lee Soo hyuk replied with a satisfied smile on his face. It seems he really likes being called hyung.

"Where is Rok Soo? I can't find him anywhere"

Park Jin Tae asked with a defeated look on his face. Where could that punk be?

"Rok Soo is sleeping in his room. He's sick"

Choi jung soo informed everyone.

"But I checked in his room and no one was there?"

"Hm?"

At that moment something clicked in Cale's mind.

'Shit...I think I know where he is'

Cale quickly ran towards the window and looked out. He was right. He saw Rok Soo walking outside. It looked like he was out on a stroll but he was walking towards the boundary.

"Kim Rok Soo!"

Cale shouted his name trying to reach him but unfortunately it did not work. Everyone else had gathered around the window too.

"Why isn't he stopping? He's crossed the boundary!"

Lee Soo hyuk and Choi Jung Soo immediately jumped out of the window in order to stop him.

"Rok Soo!"

"Kim Rok Soo!"

Kim Rok Soo had already moved quite far away from the boundary. A monster could be seen in the distance. The monster saw its prey and sprinted towards Rok Soo.

Kwaaaa-!

The monster moved its hand to attack Rok Soo. But, right at that moment, Choi Jung Soo pulled Rok Soo behind and Lee Soo Hyuk sliced off the monster's claws with his sword.

Shwang-

Roaaarr-!

The monster roared in pain. They didn't try to kill the monster instead they just took Rok Soo and ran towards the shelter.

"What the hell were you thinking?!"

Rok Soo couldn't listen to thier shouts. He had just snapped out of it and he was what, running away from a monster? How did he even get here? More importantly why did he feel so drowsy. Everything was spinning. The world slowly became dark and he passed out.
