Work Text:
Blitz uncurled himself from Stolas to reach the remote so he could turn off the TV. "That was actually pretty good," Blitz said as he stretched. Stolas agreed.
"Pretty awesome that even the humans can figure out angels suck." Blitz giggled. "Stupid fucking angels. Especially Cherubs."
"It does make one wonder though, doesn't it?" Stolas said, "How did they figure that part out?" Stolas thought for another moment before adding with another giggle. "And the way they represented Furfur and Shax." Stolas shook his head in amusement. "Not sure they would appreciate it."
"Do you know them?" Blitz wondered out loud.
Stolas shrugged, "Just in passing. All the Goetia know each other at least a little. However, I wouldn't say that we are friends or anything like that." Stolas seemed to think a minute, "I do believe that Shax would have enjoyed the fashion sense of the character version of themselves, though."
"Surprisingly enough, my favorite character was that dumb angel Gabriel. Man, he was just chaos personified." Blitz laughed. "Bet Tex would not like him though." The laughter intensified until Blitz was practically doubled over.
"I don't know who Tex is," Stolas said quietly.
Blitz took a couple of deep breaths before he was finally calmed down enough to get out, "Beez boyfriend."
Stolas instantly joined in the laughter. "No. I suppose he wouldn't like that Gabriel, would he?"
When the laughter had calmed down Stolas said, "I don't know how the main angel character stayed as calm as he did once Gabriel started rearranging his books. Organizing them by the first letter of the first word in the story." The look of disgust was almost comical. "Simply absurd."
"I thought it was kind of genius, actually.""You would." Stolas chuckled.
"Hey, did you know the humans created playlists for each of the characters?" Blitz suddenly said.
Stolas cocked his head in curiosity. "Oh?"
"Yeah. And here is the part you are going to love. The playlists had a hidden message."
"Oh, now that does sound like fun."
" Yep. And the only real clue people had was actually in the show. That angle Gabriel gave it. But those clever humans figured it out anyway."
Blitz stretched and yawned. "Come on, Birdy. It's getting late. Time to get a bit of sleep."
Stolas had been trying to stifle a yawn and nodded in agreement. The two curled up on the couch together and went to sleep.
A few days later, Blitz approached Stolas. "Hey, remember that human show we watched?" Stolas nodded. "Yeah, so um I created a playlist of songs I thought you might like."
"Oh, Blitz, that is so sweet." Stolas blushed a bit. "I must confess I also created a playlist for you."
Blitz's face lit up. "You did?"
Stolas smiled. "Well, after the show and what you had told me, I felt inspired."
They exchanged playlists and went off to different corners of the apartment. Both were armed with headphones so as not to disturb the other, and Blitz was also armed with a pen and paper.
Stolas had tears in his eyes once his playlist was done. He looked at Blitz and noted that he also had tears in his eyes.
"Do you mean it?" Blitz asked in barely a whisper.
"I really do." The tears were now flowing from Stolas' eyes. "And you? Do you mean it?"
Blitz walked over to Stolas. "Absolutely," and with that, they embraced and kissed each other.
