THE FALL OF YOU-KNOW-WHO
4th May
It is confirmed by the presence of a lifeless body and by the words of none other than Harry Potter, that the Dark Lord Voldemort is dead once and for all. In a battle fought over the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where the Dark forces attempted to crush any remaining resistance and kill Harry Potter.

Despite the victory, many of the defenders' lives were lost. Our hearts go out for their families.
ALL MARKED DEATH EATERS TO BE TRIED
21st May
"They all deserve a fair trial," Harry Potter told the press, "no matter how they dislike the outcome. It's the choices they made that sealed their fates, as tragic as that may be, in the end."
An inside reports suggest the Ministry is actively working on replenishing their stocks of Veritaserum in preparations for the influx of trials and questioning, with even some of the oldest Hogwarts students being conscripted to aid in the effort.
The large faction of younger Death Eaters that have surrendered to the DMLE yesterday, all reportedly still Hogwarts students, are negotiating for no or lighter sentence in the light of supposed coercion from the side of their parents. Since then, DMLE have received numerous letters demanding as harsh sentence as possible for all Death Eaters, very few advocated for clemency for those who really are still children. The public's scepticism towards that statement is only understandable, nevertheless.
Letters to the Editor:
"Execution for them all!" -Lida Cronye, Ashford, lost two sons.
"I mean quite a few of them are just kids. My eldest knows most of them by name." -David Spellwern, Billinghay, muggleborn until a friend adopted him.
"It would be catastrophic for our society as a whole to sentence unjustly, even if everyone is tried. It would be a a socio-economical strain we are not ready for." -Homer Greengrass, sociologist, London.
"Harry Potter will have seen our society torn apart in weeding out the scum and we can do nothing better than to aid him." -George Weasley.
Witch Weekly: Enemies to Lovers to Enemies
30th May
An entire generation of Hogwarts students is more than familiar with the legendary rivalry of Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy. It is not as much of a surprise as some might think that their passionate hatred turned into something more by the time they reached their 6th year.
And yet, in the light of recent events, it is rumoured Harry Potter broke up with his boyfriend for being a Death Eater.
We've tried to reach either of them for comment. As for Draco Malfoy, the Aurors didn't allow us through to the holding cell he is currently held in, as his status as a Marked Death Eater is widely known. Harry Potter's PR team has held us at bay but it is only a matter of time before we get our answers.
HARRY POTTER ADDRESSING RUMOURS
1st June
"It is true that me and Draco Malfoy were once dating. No more than a short term infatuation," Potter says. "Since then our paths have parted and we both have made our choices. As such I assure you our shared past will have no effect on my decision making during the trials. Once again, I will judge Draco Malfoy's actions as a Death Eater, not as my former lover."
During the interview (full version on page 3) Potter seemed relaxed and at peace with his past relationship, but we've finally managed to secure an interview with Draco Malfoy. It was conducted under strict supervision of his auror guards.
Malfoy seemed shocked and almost on the verge of tears before quickly composing himself and adopting a cool façade. He has confirmed Potter's statements and "hopes Potter will not be impartial at least in one case". The last Malfoy said with a bit of humour, though how truly he felt that we cannot know.
EMERGENCY JURY ESTABLISHED
2nd June
In the light of recent events and how our justice system has been compromised, the Auror Resistance and the Order of the Phoenix joined their efforts to set up a jury of impartial people to steer a possibly corrupt judge of unknown loyalties away from letting criminals free.
Among their members are Kingsley Shacklebolt (Order of the Phoenix leader), Auror Gawain Robards, Auror Anette Clarke, Andromeda Tonks née Black (for her valuable insight) and of course Harry Potter, the one advocating the most for swift and ruthless sentencing.
"It is our choices and actions that determine who we are. And they have made theirs," Potter repeatedly said when pleaded upon by desperate family members of the Marked.
"Their cases are not all black and white," Andromeda Tonks said when questioned by the press, "and we need to take in count each unique situation, oftentimes their supposed loyalty was nothing but a coercion by their families or Voldemort himself. It would be cruel to treat them just like the truly devoted ones."
Other members of the Jury declined to comment at this point in time.
Witch Weekly: Draco Malfoy: a lover, a Death Eater
7th June
Rumours and desperate guesses spread around as more and more information comes about the short romance between the Harry Potter (the Man-Who-Conquered) and Draco Malfoy. In response, we present you a full uncensored interview with Mr Malfoy.
"So, how did is all start? You animosity is rather legendary?"
D: "When he refused to take my hand on Hogwarts Express in our first year. When we made up he explained why… It was hilarious in hindsight. That was in our fifth year, though for the sake of appearances we kept attacking each other in public, but more as an exercise in a quick tongue and a quicker draw. And then it derailed further."
"Further?"
D: "Potter dragged me into an empty classroom one night and made out with me."
I blushed at that comment "Oh! According to your trial records you were Marked at sixteen. How did Potter take it?"
D: sighs deeply "He didn't take it well. For the safety of us both we weren't in contact over the summer aside from a few short notes and when Harry found out he took it as a betrayal. I have explained to him that I had very little choice in order to protect myself and my family and I thought he mellowed out to the idea but now… I know I am not the only who was pressured into taking the Mark."
"You were threatened then? Or someone you know and care for?"
D: "The latter. With my father in prison the Dark Lord chose my mother as his hostage. She has always cared for me and I couldn't bear to witness her suffer or worse."
"I'm sorry to hear that, Mr Malfoy. I understand your case isn't isolated with such circumstances, if only the most publicised. Do you wonder if there could be anything to change Mr Potter's mind? After all, his advocacy would be be incredibly beneficial for you."
D: "And he knows it! That's why he is going directly against me and some of my friends. Because his word and my faded Mark matter more than anything else."
"Do you think he's doing it on purpose? Targeting you and all the young Death Eaters because he feels personally betrayed by you?"
D: "It would make it perhaps more understandable for me. The universal justice regardless of circumstances that caused the crime. I have been interrogated under Veritaserum twice. Yet not even that was enough to garner enough affections to warrant at least some show of mercy. Not for me or many of my peers."
"You have been once upon a time truly committed to You-Know-Who's cause, were you not? At least according to the released interrogation transcripts."
D: laughs bitterly "I did, yes. When I was young and still believing the stories of my father that he told me about his 'Glory Days in the Dark Lord's service'. I have learned better since; even if I believed in the cause or had any other motivation it's hard to follow someone who tortures you and your family for his sick pleasure."
"That is terrible to even imagine… Would you like to say something before we wrap up today?"
D: "Hey Granger, if you're reading this, punch Potter to the face for me, alright? I know you pack a punch." smiles as if it's a fond memory
And there you have it, dear readers, Draco Malfoy laid bare in his grim fate, offering us a rather bleak image of our Saviour and perhaps our society as a whole.
Editor's Note:
Draco Malfoy (*1980) attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1991. In 1992 he became the Seeker for the Slytherin Quidditch team, in 1995 he was named a prefect. In 1996 his father, Lucius Malfoy, was arrested on proven charges of Death Eater activity. It is then the Dark Lord Voldemort supposedly demanded Draco's service.
Minerva McGonagall: "They're a lost generation, condemning won't help anyone." (A Commentary)
13th June
Dear readers,
I have been teaching the future generations for many years: future politicians, healers, artists… Entire generations are damned to suffer and fall in a war and those that have to suffer the mistakes of their predecessors.
Now we are emerging from yet another devastating conflict, a second one in just as many decades and to see the toll it has taken on my students is heartbreaking. It has forced me to reevaluate how I view the children passing through Hogwarts. I have never been nearly as optimistic as Albus Dumbledore when it came to seeing the good in others, yet this has truly taken my hope. I have seen many bright minds extinguished, many corrupted by the desire for but a sliver of power and their pleasure in the pain of others. I mourn all of them.
Not all those we are judging for their service to Lord Voldemort deserve to be condemned. As many students as I saw consumed, give into their most feral urges to the detriment of others, that many I knew were unwilling and merely trying to survive through those trying times.
As it seems our reinstated justice system is set on punishing both groups, deliberately oblivious to those guilty merely by inaction. I am a Gryffindor and perhaps that is why I would not hesitate to fight uncaring for my survival in my youth. Now I know better for myself and furthermore I understand my students better, many of which would prefer the safety of themselves and their loved and do anything to achieve that — including keeping their head down.
This is my call to public, call to our new government to reconsider the harshness of their sentencing when it comes to the misguided and the afraid. Condemning them to even a short time in Azkaban will be detrimental to their health and to our society as a whole.
Signed,
Minerva McGonagall, Tra.M.

Claimant to the House of Black:
Harry Potter-Black officially claimed his inheritance from late Lord Sirius Orion Black. Filing in with the Magical Records to properly accept him and grant him his Wizengamot privileges.
There has been some controversy surrounding Harry Potter-Black after he took on the title and responsibility of one of the oldest Houses in Magical Britain, members of which are largely deceased, most in the service of the late Dark Lord Voldemort that Mr Potter-Black killed himself. It does bring into question Potter's views on blood purity and the more popular progressive politics, as claiming the House of "Always Pure" cannot be seen as anything but a statement of sorts.
When asked to comment Mr Potter-Black responded: "It would be a disservice to my godfather's legacy, no matter what most of his family had been like."
Despite post-mortem exoneration of Sirius Black III there are still many unanswered questions. Some believe Mr Potter-Black demanded it only to save some of his image when claiming the House of Black.
Witch Weekly: Lovers' Spat in the Cell Block!
21st June
Just two days ago one of our sources spotted the Man-Who-Conquered himself in a fierce argument with none other than Draco Malfoy. For whichever reason they forgot to put up privacy and wards and the show turned out to be spectacular.
They overheard Mr Malfoy screaming at Mr Potter "You swore you'd save me!" while Mr Potter is one of the biggest advocates for sentencing Death Eaters to harsh sentences, oftentimes even the Veil.
What's makes it even worse, is Mr Potter's confirmation! To quote him: "I promised to protect the man I loved then, not the Death Eater you've become! No matter the excuses you are so ready to give me over and over again. I remember you've always been infatuated with serving your lord."
Mr Malfoy then said something our source couldn't understand properly until Mr Potter cast a spell to silence him entirely.
