    Tony Stark - Iron Man - died a hero. He met his end on the battlefield, ending the Battle of Earth at the cost of his life.

    The world mourned. A funeral was held. Tears fell. A legacy was set. A universe was saved.

    He snapped his fingers, made the ultimate sacrifice, and slipped into oblivion.

    That should have been the end.

    But then there was heat, pain. A ragged breath in a place he hadn't seen in years: the Afghan cave.
