I hope I can fix this

Summary:

In which Sasha getting stabbed in True colors instead of Marcy makes things play out in quite a different way. Plans move faster, things get harder, and all anyone can hope for is digging them selves out of a hole that seems to just keep getting deeper.

Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Notes:

This is my first ever fan fic. I'm mainly writing this for fun and I'll probably try to update it when I can but honestly if even one person wants another chapter then I will try my best to guarantee that one pops up. Writhing fanfic was more fun then I thought it would be though I'm glad I finally did it. Hopefully if its really bad you at least have some fun.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Sasha’s POV
Sasha could hear her heart beating in her ears, every muscle in her body working just to keep up with King Adrias. Even with Grime helping her it was still a close fight, too close. She had a pretty clear idea of how this day would go, A little coup here, a government overthrow there, and sure she knew it wouldn’t go over well but I don’t think even she could have predicted things going like this. Even if they manage to win this fight this is just a slice of the chaos. Even if they all make it back home there’s a real chance Anne might not even want to be her friend anymore and if she’s being honest she doesn’t even know where to start with Marcy right now. Surviving this would just be taking one step forward to take two steps back.

“I think I got it!” Sasha could hear Marcy out of the corner of the room.

Woosh. And with one big flash the portal was open.

“NO THE BOX!” Andrias shouted before using his tail to knock grime halfway across the room. Shasha was barely able to duck out of the way in time with seconds to catch her barings. Looking over at Marcy she could see Adrias getting ready to strike a fatal blow, the type that people don’t come back from, the type that Sasha couldn’t let happen. Using every ounce of strength left in her she leapt forward, consequences be damned.

“I just need to-” Marcy’s sentence got cut short as she tumbled to the ground after being pushed out of the way.

The next thing , the only thing Sasha could feel for the next few seconds was searing hot pain, from her feet to her head, her whole body burning until she couldn’t feel anything at all.

“Now look what you made me do.”

“I’m … sorry” was what she was trying to say but at this point her head was too foggy to know if that even made it out of her head

”Sasha!”

Marcy’s POV
I can fix this, please Frog I hope I can fix this, That was all Marcy could think as she fidgeted with the box in her hand, the start of all her problems. Just a few months ago she would be telling you this box was a miracle, that it saved friendships and helped make new ones. Only time would show that the box would be the thing to put all that in jeopardy, not just her friendships but all their lives are in danger. All she could do is hope that getting them home, getting them out of here could be enough.

“I think I got it !” And with one big flash the portal was working. Finally something went right.

“Everybody get in the portal!” she said, ushering Anne and the Plantars to the portal.

“I just need to-” She could barely finish her sentence before being pushed to the ground but her attention was quickly grabbed with the next chilling sentence that left Andrias’s mouth.

“Now look at what you made me do”.

Marcy didn't want to believe the sight in front of her, didn’t want to watch as the light drained out of Sasha’s eyes as she choked out an apology before falling to the ground. She didn’t want any of this, she never wanted any of this, hell if she knew what this box would bring into her life she would have smashed it before Sasha and Anne even had a chance to lay their eyes on it. But it’s too late for that now.

”Sasha!” Is all she could scream out before the portal envelopes the room with one big flash of light. Anne and the Plantars went back to earth if her calculations were right. Sasha on the ground, gone forev-

“ I could save her, you know.” Andrias said in a cold voice. She was too stunned by everything to talk. She couldn’t tell if she wanted to cry or just try to kill Andrias right here consequences be damned. The result was her just staying on the ground in shocked silence next to Sasha’s body listening as he continued.
“We newts have lived for centuries, Have technology beyond even your human comprehension, I could save Sasha’s life right here and now, Of course you’d have to do something for me in return.”

“Why on earth would I do anything for you, hell why on earth should I trust anything you say! You lied to me , YOU KILLED MY FRIEND!” She yelled out, tears falling from her eyes as the reality of the last few minutes started to dawn on her.

“It’s a little late to lecture anyone on lying Mar Mar, don’t you think.” Andrias replied in a sadistic tone.

“If I’m lying and she dies her death is on me, but if you don’t let me save her, That death, well that death would be on you Marcy.”

She flinched at that.

“I would decide soon if I were you, I can’t imagine your friend has too much time.”

Marcy felt the weight of the world on her shoulders, She’d be a fool to trust anything Andrias has said, he’s more than proved that. There’s no way any plan that he has work’s in her or Sasha's favor. She knew these facts clear as day it was an easy decision on paper and yet when the room fell deathly quiet, quiet enough to hear some of the shallow quiet breaths coming from Sasha’s half dead body she knew there was only one choice to make.

“Fine! I’ll do what you say, whatever you say but you have to save Sasha’s life, she has to live.”

“Excellent.” Andrias said as he motioned for some of the frobots to pick up Sasha’s body and started to make his way down to the bottom of the castle. They eventually came to a stop in a room with huge stasis chambers, filled with what looked like water. Sasha was carefully hooked up to a few machines that showed her vitals with what looked like an oxygen mask placed on her face. With that she was placed in one of the chambers and Marcy watched as slowly but surely Sasha’s vitals returned to those of a living person. Not a healthy one but at this point even the fact she was breathing was a miracle. Marcy couldn't help but breath a sigh of relief, but that was short lived as Andrias started talking again.

“That’s my end of the bargen, It’s time to up hold yours.”

The frobots that had brought Sasha down here turned their guns towards Marcy giving her no choice but to follow. For all the time she spent exploring Newtopias castel even though she hadn’t seen this part of it. Walking in she could see a machine with many eyes staring back at her and what looked like a throne with a helmet hanging over it in the center.

“Well , take a seat.” Andrias said as he gestured at the throne.

As she sat down on the throne it quickly latched on to her forcing her to stay in place.Panic started to sink in as the helmet slowly started to lower its way down, too late to back out now, no way out, this was it. As she looked over at Andrias, hating that his might be the last face she’ll ever see she could see a flash of what almost looked like remorse on his face before the helmet was fully secure.

With one big flash of searing orange light her head felt like it was splitting in two, a pain so unbearable she could only manage one final thought. A hope that someday she would get a chance to make things right, to fix what she broke. This was all her fault, was all she could think before the pain became unbearable and her mind went blank as it was taken over by something new.

Notes:

I know I didn't really include Anne in here, I might add in her perspective in the next chapter but we'll see. I really like the world of Amphibia so writing things from Annes perspective in her world might harder for me but I might give it a shot. Any way thanks for making it this far
