“Do you know about magic?” Lily asks.
“Magic?” Harry says. “I’ve read fantasy books, so I guess, yeah.”
“No,” says Lily. “Real magic.”
He looks at her oddly. She picks a flower, an ox-eye daisy, from the small patch of grass on the edge of the pavement, and it flows over to Harry.
”Magic is real, Harry,” she says dreamily. “And we are magic.”
