Chapter Text
The sun was out, and the skies were clear, with no indication of rainfall. It was the perfect weather for a picnic with their human.
It has been a long time wish of his to have a picnic with their guardian, and now they can have one without worrying about anything.
Their Lemonade Grampa and Hans had told them about a perfect picnic place in the territory, Raon and his siblings nodded frantically that they wished for that place to be open for one day.
It was the Henituse's late countess' garden. The Henituse agreed to the children's request for a picnic, they were thrilled to have them all in the garden.
Raon and his siblings were planning to surprise their guardian by arriving early to the designated place for the picnic.
When they arrived there, they found their parent figure was waiting for them in the garden. He was accompanied by his ever-loyal guard, Choi Han, who was standing behind him.
Raon flew over fast over to his Human's side and landed there, he could feel light touches in his head and it settled down like a warm embrace of his father figure, a gentle pat, "Human, Human, you're early and up."
He peeks at his Human, who merely answers, "I can't be late for a picnic that I am invited to."
He can see his siblings trailing behind the hawk. Raon smiles, they didn't only invite Cale, he invited everyone that he and his Human know.
The picnic went off without a hitch, it was a success. The kids had enjoyed the food that their cooks cooked, which Beacrox instructed the Henitsue cooks to cook. Cale and the other had small talks here and there while Cale cleaned the kids' faces.
It was time for the clearing, before some people started leaving, Cage had clapped her hands to get everyone's attention.
It felt like a warning rather than a parting gift from Cage.
"This is important," Cage mumbled as she turned to Cale, "That bastard god said that another god had given us a gift."
"A gift?"
"Another god."
They turned to look at Cale, who was holding onto the tablet that God of Death provided him, and a frown was placed upon his face.
They believed that Cale was cussing in his head.
And poooooooof.
The next thing they saw, Cale disintegrated in front of them.
"Human?"
Raon called for his Human, taunting, he glared at the tablet, "Where is my Human, you bastard of a god."
They were in full alert until they heard small murmurs around them.
If they weren't anything less than a high-level swordmaster, they would never have heard something as small as that small sigh and breathing.
They followed the sounds of small breathing they ended up looking at Choi Han's head. They can see a peek of red in his head, Rosalyn informed Choi Han, "There's something in your head, Choi Han."
"It's red."
When Choi Han heard those small breathing, he couldn't see where it was coming from; he didn't think it would come from his head, he gently took it to his hand, "… Cale-nim?"
Everyone gathered around him, and they saw a small version of Cale in his hand, a doll like Cale. It was smaller than the swordman's hand—the head was larger than its torso, and it was moving in his hands. It was looking at Choi Han with his bright reddish eyes.
"It's Human. It's him, but small."
Eruhaben nods, pointing at the doll, "It got unlucky bastard essences."
Ohn and Hong felt something in their head, Ohn helped Hong take the redder patch in his red hair and placed it in his hand while getting the one in her head, "…"
Raon turned to them, "That's Human too."
"Three small Cale-nim?"
In a few seconds, everyone felt something sitting in their head. They all glanced at the little Cale in their hands, some had a different version of Cale, a few had the Cale with short hair or different clothes.
Something that tells them, that's the outfit or hairstyle that first meets Cale.
Raon takes the little Human that was sitting in his head. The little Human that he had was on the small side, he had peeked at everyone's little Cale. The look in this little Cale was the same he had when he saw his Human save him from the cold prison that he was kept in, afraid, wariness while baring its fangs against the person in front of him.
He didn't think twice and levitated his Human and placed him back in his head, "My Human is small, smaller than Eden."
"A present from the God of Mischief, young master Cale has turned to this doll like one for everyone… for a week…" They saw Cage glaring at the sky, "Shut up, you and the other gods are taking away our hard work."
Ron, who had his young master in his gloved hand, who had that chidlike mischievousness in his eyes while trying to pull away the glove, mused, "A week? Miss Cage?"
"A week with these cuties," Rosalyn exclaimed while the Cale in her hands was pointing with her wand and making booming sounds of explosion.
Cage glared at the sky, getting a headache, "It has young master Cale's emotions and personality, not the same for each… koma?"
"Ah, kkomas," Choi Jung Soo interjects, mocking his employer, "So they decided to steal someone's ideas."
"Someone's ideas?" Choi Han asked.
"Nothing much, just bland plagiarism. Basically, what god of Death is saying is that each Cale that we are holding has different stages of life, and if not, it's one of his repressed emotions."
"They are part of Cale, so take care of him." Sui Khan glanced at the small version of Cale in his hands that was sleeping in, unaware of the chaos he made, "Treat him as if it's the real him."
That's given. A version of Cale is all for them for a week.
"Can we exchange them?" They turned to the killer whale, Archie asked them while small Cale was sitting on his shoulder.
Jung Soo asked, "Why is that?"
"He keeps pointing at me and calling me a taxi, and I don't know what that means, but I don't want to know."
The Koreans and Prince almost gagged, trying not to laugh. Archie glared at them, "What is it?"
The Koreans and the prince look at their Cale in their hand than answering the killer whale question.
"You can't," Cage explained, taking another glass of alchocol, "They are bound to you, if you leave him away…"
"Are there consequences?"
"Young master Cale will hate you." Cage answered.
"That's ominous…"
"… like the bastard god had any ideas he is talking about," Cage replied while giving her little Cale some sips of her alchocol.
"Well, we don't want our young master to hate us," Witira gently played with the little Cale in hand.
"… I don't trust at all. But this," Eruhaben examines at the Cale that's been rubbing his little cheek at his golden hair, "is a destruction in making."
"Are we ending the picnic like this?"
"Or we continue for a moment."
They look at Raon as he was the one who planned this picnic for everyone, it's his choice. Raon thinks back to his little Human that's sitting in his head, "Yes, let's have a tea party with our little Humans."
