Chapter Text
“You know… Mommy will always love you no matter what… You know that, right? I will always love you no matter what you do, even if you don’t give me the reason as to why you did it… I’m your mother, and I will always love you…”
He had his head laid on her lap as she gently caressed his hair as she said those words to him.
“Promise?” He asked, looking at her with his beautiful purple eyes that shined with full of life and the hope of her keeping her promise.
“I promise… I’ll love you no matter what happens…”
The musky smell of death and fresh blood filled the place he had once called his home.
Suguru looked around at the walls, the same ones that were a beautiful forest green, the same ones he used to draw on as a child, the same ones he used to look at whenever he was placed on time-out for misbehaving, those same ones that where now covered in fresh stains of blood.
Each step he took made a sickening squelching sound due to the amount of blood shed on the wooden floor.
He walked around, making sure to take a proper one-last look before he was gone for good. Forever.
His purple eyes, once full of life, were now hollow as he looked at the small picture his father took of the three of them.
It was a picture taken the day he was going to start attending Jujutsu High for the first time.
His mother smiling so brightly while hugging his right arm while his father was crying next to him.
His mother had insisted on having a picture taken of the new begging he was going to have. She had been so happy for him that he was going to attend a school where they finally understood him. With people who saw what he saw and that had special abilities like he had.
His father was happy as well to the point his emotions got the best of him and started bawling his eyes out the exact moment the picture took its shot.
Suguru let himself reminisce the memory, enjoying the happy moment of it before it ended, because the moment he stepped out of the house, he planned to forget he lived there with two filthy monkeys…
His own parents…
It was a bitter pill to swallow, to call his own… no…. His deceased parent’s that with so much disgust and hatred–it felt so wrong to him in so many fucking levels…
Especially to his own beloved mother.
To the woman that gave birth to him, to the woman that raised him, took care of him, loved him, had comforted him whenever he came home crying from elementary school from being bullied by the other children for telling them what he saw, that he could see those disgusting curses that he called monsters .
The woman that tried her best, day and night, going through old family scrolls in hopes to help him understand more of his technique.
And is this how he repays her?
All those hardships and sacrifices she made for him?
By calling her a monkey and murdering her with his own bare hands?
He saw the pure fear and confusion in her eyes as she searched for answers as to why he was doing this, as to why he had murdered her own husband right in front of her eyes and how she was next to get killed.
He had seen the pure joy in her eyes the moment she thought he was doing a surprise visit.
Only for later on to be replaced with a lifeless look as she laid dead on the wooden floor next to her husband as blood seeped from the gaping holes from her throat and heart the most.
Without even realizing it yet, he now stood in front of his parents' gruesome bodies from his mothers side.
With his bloodied hand, blood that he shares with, blood that belonged to his parents, he touched his right cheek that had been stained from his mother’s hand as she caressed it while she looked at him with the last gleams of life she had in her eyes that slowly started to fade right in front of his eyes.
“Why…?” She asked, she was having a hard time breathing as she used almost all her strength to stop her throat from bleeding as she laid next to her husband. Both her legs had been crushed brutally so she wouldn’t be able to grab her phone from the kitchen counter to call for help, or to even try to run away and escape.
“I’m sorry…” Was all Suguru said as he was crouched next to her with a bloodied knife in hand.
Her breathing became even more labored as she gave up in trying to stop the bleeding.
She summoned all the few strength she had left, all to put a hand on his right cheek, caressing it gently like she had always done when he was a child. As if wanting to comfort him right now despite what he has done.
She tried to take deep breaths, trying to get enough oxygen in her lungs for her to say the next few words, ones she knew were going to be her last to ever be heard of, be said on this earth–in her own home, and to her own murderer–her own son.
“I.. I still love you…” She said with a soft smile as the blade pierced right through her heart.
A loud thud was heard in the living room once her hand made contact with the wooden floor.
Without him realizing it, tears streamed down his cheeks as he held his mothers cold limp hand, the same one she caressed him.
“I-I’m sorry… I-I’m so sorry… I truly am s-sorry…” His voice sounded like a broken record through sobs as he held his mother’s cold hand up to his face.
Perhaps he didn’t realize that he was holding it, or perhaps, deep down, he did, that it was the side of him he tried to make disappear…
His humanity..
The side that he still wanted to protect all those filthy monkeys.
The side that made him feel regret and guilt for his actions.
The side that didn’t care that his mother was a monkey, and that all it wanted the most as of right now was to be comforted by her because he was terrified of the monster he has become.
