Mickey Finn

Summary:

When Lady Felicia has a bad night out it’s Sid who saves her once again

Work Text:

She didn’t remember getting home, only that mid-way through the party everything started to spin and that before she could pass out, Sid caught her and scooped her up into his arms. Then everything went black.
When she opened her eyes fully she realised that she was lying on her bed in her bedroom. Sid must have placed her in the Rolls and driven her back. God, she felt awful. What was in that drink?! She tried to sit up, but it was strange as her body didn’t feel like her own. A kind of numbness. She started to panic, but then the door opened and Sid cautiously peered in, obviously to check if she was alright. She beckoned him in and he sat on the edge of her bed, looking concerned. She asked him what had happened and he told her he believed somebody had put something in her drink. He didn’t know what, but he thought the best thing to do was to get her out of there and home safely. He asked her how she felt and she tried her best to explain what it felt like. This worried him even more, but he didn’t say as such, but she could tell by his expression that he was. He told her that she’d be fine after some more rest and that the best thing to do was treat it like it was a hangover and drink plenty of water to flush it out. She agreed and he poured her a glassful from a jug on her bedside table. She sat up and tried to hold it, but it was as though her fingers were frozen, so Sid placed it to her lips and put it aside once she’d finished with it. She didn’t need to ask him, he instinctively shuffled up against her and wrapped a gentle arm around her shoulders to comfort her. Felicia laid her head on his chest and hugged his middle. There was nothing in the world that made her feel safer than to be in Sid’s arms. For some reason he couldn’t explain, Sid gently kissed the top of Felicia’s head and rocked her slowly. Well yes, he could explain it. Nobody was ever going to hurt her, not while he was around. One of these days he’d tell her how much he loved her, but he hoped she already knew.
