Ava muttered to herself as she scrolled through her phone. Gah, ever since she and Yelana had gotten closer (thanks to being the only females on the team no doubt), the ghost had grown a massive crush on the blonde Slavic. She didn’t know how to admit this though as she never had a chance to confess her crush to someone. Ava groaned as she heard John humming, announcing his entrance into the main room without having to shout his name. The newcomer then sat in the couch opposite to the ghost and was promptly on his phone.
Well, John was married before. Surely he knows what to do with love right?
“Uhm, Walker?”
”Hmm?”
The blonde looked up from his phone at the mention of his name. Since the crew had moved into the new Avengers tower, they had somewhat gotten closer. One way the whole crew bonded together was equally roasting John Walker. The blonde would often threaten them or just give them the stink-eye, but everyone seemed to be on mutual terms in terms of doing so. Now here Ava was, asking the man for advice.
”I… have a crush on Yelena.” The ghost slowly spoke, thinking through her words.
”Oh really?” Walker raised an eyebrow as he sat up straighter, now seemingly more interested.
Ava’s lips tightened to a line. “Yea… I think I’ve had it for a while, and I know she well, likes girls, cause she’s told me about some of her exes, both guy and girl.”
”So? Why do you need to tell me?”
There would be a beat of silence before Ava spoke.
”What should I do?”
“Why just go up and kiss her? Get straight to the point or something.”
Ava’s eyes widened hearing John’s suggestion. She couldn’t tell if the blonde was being sarcastic or not, he wasn’t the best when it came to that. “Really?”
”Why not.” The blonde shrugged. “Worth a shot.”

The ghost took a deep breath as she watched Yelena rummaging through the bar of the building. It was pretty late at night and she wasn’t expecting for anyone besides the two of them to be awake at this ungodly hour.
”Hey Yelena?”
The Slavic turned around with wide eyes and a smile on her face. “Ava! What are you up for?”
Ava had to calm her nerves hearing Yelena’s smooth accented voice. Goodness, stop being so flustered! The black-haired woman shook her head as she faded up closer to Yelena. The Slavic raised an eyebrow as a smirk grew in her face. She placed the bottle of some alcohol she was going to drink on the counter as she stared at the ghost with a curiosity in her eyes.
”I… uhm… I don’t know how to do this.” Ava whispered.
“Wha-?”
Yelena was promptly cut off thanks to Ava’s cold lips smashing into hers. The Slavic jerked back for a split second but then broke off the sudden kiss. Ava took a step back, eyes wide as she clocked in what she just did. The ghost covered her mouth as she and the other stood in silence for a moment.
”Woah…didn’t think you liked me like that Starr.” The blonde chuckled as she leaned on the counter with her arms crossed.
“I-… I’m so sorry.” Ava sputtered, feeling stupid for feeling this flustered. “I-I just thought that-.”
”No no no, you are okay.” Yelena assured the other. “I do swing uh, you say ‘both ways’ right? But uh…, I’m sorry Ava, I don’t see you like that.”
”No, I understand.” Ava nodded before quickly fading away.
Yelena gave a slow nod as she said goodnight to the dark room.

“Walker?”
”Oh for fuck’s sake don’t do that! It’s the middle of the night Ava!” The blonde yelled as the ghost suddenly faded in on the foot of his bed. The groggy blonde groaned as he turned in his bedside lamp to look at the red-faced ghost. “What’s with you?”
”I did it.” She said simply.
”You did what?” The other asked, clearly not wanting to be talking right now.
”What you suggested this afternoon. I kissed her.”
”What?! Are you kidding I was being sarcastic dumbass!” John had to force himself not to facepalm.
”Well I’m not the best at reading people about sarcasm jeez!” Ava exclaimed as she got to her feet. “You should know that by now!”
”I didn’t think you’d have the guts to even do that!” John groaned, running a hand through his hair. “Besides, you’re trusting a divorced man about romance? Whatever, how did she react?”
”Well, she didn’t hate it.” Ava started slowly as she paced the room. “But she… Yelena said she didn’t like me like that.”
John gave a nod. “Well, there’s always more fish in the sea?”
Ava only rolled her eyes. “I suppose. Goodnight Walker.”
”Night.”
John sighed as he flopped back into his bed. Now he could-.
”Walker-.”
”Shit! Oh what now??”
The male groaned as he sat back up and rubbed his face. This time the person intruding was Yelena herself. John muttered something to himself as he fumbled for the lamp in his bedside once again. “What do you want?”
”I… Uhm… have come to talk to you about uh… romance?” Yelena spoke slowly, her voice rising in pitch nervously. “I mean, you are the one who was in a relationship better than us.”
John had to control himself from not impulsively chasing the Slavic out. “I’m divorced for the second time this night but whatever.” He grumbled to himself. He then sighed as he looked up to Yelena. “Yea? What about?”
”Ava kissed me.”
”I know.”
”You do?”
John bit his tongue as his brain was quick to make an excuse. “No I don’t, I was joking but continue.”
Yelena took a deep breath as she had to think through her thoughts. “I don’t like Ava like that. Sure, she’s a great woman, but…” John raised an eyebrow as he waited for the next part. “I think I like Bob.”
”Woah. Wait, woah, what??” Walker shook his head, not expecting that. Sure, he had noticed how Yelena and Bob were close, but he didn’t think it was like that. He had to recollect himself to not start teasing the hell out of Yelena and give away the fact he had suggested for Ava to kiss her. “That was a surprise, but I mean, you do you??”
The Slavic gave a soft scoff as she stood up. “But what should I do? Should I tell Bob I like him? I feel like that would be a bad idea since Bob… you know.”
John did understand what Yelena meant. Bob was a nice kid, but he was very volatile and had to be kept under watch 24/7. Bob knew why and he didn’t mind it as he said ‘he liked being noticed’ or whatever that could mean. The blonde could only mutter something before looking up to Yelena. “I mean, you can start with just suggesting that you and him could be a thing. Let him think about it and then get him to tell you about his opinion on it or something. Dude, I just want to go to bed.”
Yelena gave a nod. “Thank you for telling me this Walker. Good night.”
”Night.” Walker grumbled as he flopped back into his bed. “I swear if Bob walks in and asks me for advice to confess to Ava I will be so pissed.”

The next morning was quite awkward between the two ladies. Alexei and Bucky seemed to pick it up and were quick to drift to John to see if he knew anything about this.
”Hey Walker, what’s up with them?” Bucky whispered as he sat by the blonde.
”Man I don’t want to talk about it.” Walker grumbled as his head lolled back on the couch’s back. “I’m so tired.”
Bucky’s face scrunched in confusion as he turned to Alexei in hopes he could give some input. Unfortunately, Alexei was approaching Yelena with a large grin on his face. “Lena! My princess! How did you sleep?”
Yelena’s shoulders would tense as Alexei sidehugged her. “I slept fine Dad.” She mumbled as she sipped her coffee and avoiding eye contact with him.
”Aww come on, you certainly have something to tell.” Alexei grinned as his eyes darted from Ava to his daughter. “Had fun?”
”Dad!” Yelena yelled as she slapped the other. Alexei laughed boisterously and would say he was only joking.
Ava squeaked on the sofa seat before promptly fading away and going off to who-knows-where. By now, Bob was awake and had walked into this confusing scene. He was about to ask Bucky what was going when Yelena quickly walked over to Bob. “Bob, with me?”
”Uh- sure?” The other only shrugged, clueless to what was going on. The two then left the main area to a more private area.
”Oh my ‘Lanta.” John groaned as his hands started his temples. “This is great…”
‘Bucky seemed to pick up on what was going on and a smirk grew on his face. “Aww. Yelena and Bob having puppy-love huh?”
“Hopefully.” The other grumbled as he slowly slid off the couch.
”What is with Yelena?” Alexei huffed as he approached the two other men. “Did she not have a good night sleep?”
The two would shrug before seeing Yelena walking out of the area with her hands covering her face. Alexei chuckled loudly as he called Yelena to come over; she only shouted back ‘not now’ and slammed the door of her bedroom. The moment John heard that, he shot up and off the couch to find Bob. Bucky and Alexei only watched, both confused as to what was happening.
”Hey Bob?”
”Y-Yea?”
John couldn’t believe he was going to be asking this as he placed his hands on Bob’s shoulders. “Do you like Ava?”
”W-What? No?” The other looked slightly confused and nervous.
”Okay, that’s one stupid thing off my list.” John sighed in relief as his hands slid off Bob’s shoulders. “That would have pissed me off so much.”
”Why? Do you like her?’ Teh other tilted his head innocently.
”What the hell? No???”
