Chapter 1: Moon & Kiki's Mom

Chapter Text

It’s Mother’s day and Kiki wanted to hang out with her sister and mom; That and Mika went to go and wish her mother a happy mother’s day and she didn't want to be alone. She could say her relationship with her mother is strained especially after she married her wife, Mika, but it’s way better than Moon’s relationship with her. This is actually very nerve racking for Kiki as she hasn't seen her mom in awhile. She also does not want Moon to start a fight. Her mom also got a new boyfriend and is going to meet him for the first time. Apparently Moon has already met him.

Moon would have almost (purposely) forgot about Mother’s day if not for her enthusiastic sister. Moon and her mom never had a good relationship. She’s shocked that she and Kiki still have a somewhat good relationship, the woman is very homophobic and never approved of Kiki and Mika’s marriage. Moon wished her sister did not ask her to accompany her, she couldn't even bring Eiko; Not like she would miss them, they just went to their mothers grave during this time. Kiki has not met their mom’s new boyfriend and says she can’t wait to meet him. Moon has already met him, he is the God of Air and she thinks he’s a decent guy but she could care less.

They arrived at their old house and knocked on the door, “Just a minute!” They heard a voice call out from inside the house. After a while the door opened, “Oh my what a pleasant surprise my two beautiful daughters!” Their mother said with a big grin on her face. Their mom was the god of sky. She had light blue hair and light blue features as well as clouds around her they got darker the further down they got, her clothes matched the gradient as while. She looked nothing like how you think their mother would. Kiki was born a goddess so she always had the features of the God of Light, before Moon became a goddess she looked more like her dad. Moon always wondered if Kiki was not a goddess would she look more like their mom or their dad?

“Well what are you doing just standing there, come in!” Their mom gestured for them to come in. Kiki had made their mom some white chocolate and promptly gave it to her when they went in, “I got you your favorite chocolate mom! I made it myself!” Kiki showed off. Moon was with Kiki this morning as she made it and was even given some, she personally likes milk or even dark chocolate but Eiko love’s it. “Kiki, that's awesome. Moon did you do anything kind for me this mothers day or did you forget?” Their mother said with a smirk, Moon hated her and would never do anything for her. “I got a reservation at your favorite restaurant.” Moon stated bluntly.

Kiki had made Moon get the reservation. She originally wanted to do nothing but her sister wouldn't let her. Let’s just say their mom was shocked. Just then her new boyfriend walked in, he had very pale blue hair, it almost looked white he also wore a white and beige outfit. You could tell he was the God of air because you could feel the wind around him. Kiki immediately noticed his presence and introduced herself to him, “Hello i’m Kiki you must be my mom’s new boyfriend you are number 104 hopefully you last longer then the others, I am the goddess of light you might have already heard of me...” Kiki started to ramble; she only stopped when she started to run out of breath and Moon stopped her. “I am the God of Air or you can call me Kidico, whatever you want.” He gave a shy smile indicating he doesn't smile often. Their mother glared at Kiki and said in a stern tone, “Hun you did not have to ramble like that.”

After that strange and frankly awkward encounter, Moon had about enough of their mother. Kiki’s mood had gone down after she said that. They were on their way to the restaurant. Moon's original plan was to leave Kiki with their mom and head home so she did not have to deal with the bitch. She decided that Kiki should not be alone with her.

At the restaurant their mom kept complaining on how the place had changed, even though it hasn't changed. Kiki came up with the idea and she was feeling bad and Moon did not like seeing her upset. Since their mom thinks it was Moon's idea she would criticize every detail because that's just who she is. When they got to the table and ordered drinks, their moms 104th boyfriend got their mom to shut up, “I think this place is perfect.” He said out of nowhere. Of course their mom agreed and started flirting and hinting at sexual things. Moon was extremely uncomfortable and she looked over and saw Kiki also was.

This went on for a while until they ordered their food and it came out a few minutes later. After they finished eating Moon was about to leave until their mom started her homophobia, “Hey love how is it with, whats her name Mika right, turns out she has a twin brother why don’t you start seeing him and maybe you'll get some good sex.” Kiki looked repulsed and disgusted, she was about to say something but Moon cut her off, “Oh you mean Braxton I thought he already had a partner, well anyway I don’t think you want to know what he would do to Kiki. You would have never suggested to her to leave Mika.” Moon said while getting up to leave.

Braxton was horrible, Mika told her everything her brother does and says is never good. And the fact that their mom said that to Kiki hurt. “Sit your ass down now Moon, Kiki needs a man to take care of her.” Their mother responded with. Kiki stood up with Moon, “I’m leaving, I hope you enjoyed your gift.” Kiki said as she started walking away. Moon followed close behind not saying anything as she left.

Once they were outside Kiki broke down in tears, how could her mother say such cruel things and not feel bad. Moon would try and comfort her sister but she didn't know how to. She knows Mika will when they get back. Kiki cried the whole way home while Moon walked by her side. Kiki started to dislike their mom while Moon’s hatred only grew. She hugged Kiki when they got there and left after that not wanting to see her sister sad anymore.
