Chapter Text

Today is Luna’s big day! Valentine’s day!

Every year Mr. Wright puts on this big celebration for his daughter. Since she was always his little Valentine. Everyone had to dress up and of course it was a red event! There was always music playing and daddy always got a live band! The front of the manor was decked to the nines with cute red decorations and hearts galore! Roses lined the walkway with old romantic vintage cars driving up the lot. Ladies with lovely velvet gowns holding onto their husbands who wore black tie suits.

Luna felt like the Princess of Valentine’s day, with her little ball gown dress and ruby red slippers that made the tips of her toes sparkle on the dance floor.

She really wanted to be a kid again.

As she grew older and she became less of daddy’s little princess, the parties went with it. Or Luna was so young she didn’t even notice that yeah the party was a sham the entire time. Since those vintage cars never really were there for the romantic vibe but more of a trade that her dad had done every year. Luna soon learned that the Valentine party was just a way to brag. Not even about the item itself! But more about how much it was worth off their god damn taxes so they could sell it to each other than donate it to their own charities.

Every year learning more and more that her special day was a shadow of what it used to be, Luna never really liked Valentine’s day afterwards. Her little rose tinted glasses fell right off her face when she saw her dad working when they were supposed to be having that father daughter dance, huddled up in his office with a whiskey and cigar in hand. One of those nice cars became theirs.

Luna didn’t have that high of expectations for this party. Maybe she would make her dad laugh once and she would get a nice pat on the back that would almost make her spill her drink like a golly swell time. Or she would die of cringe as he introduces her to some guy whose the son of someone important so really he has nothing doing for him other than abs. Maybe if she was lucky, she would just not be here at all. Though she was so determined to make this night go well that she didn’t care about what’s gonna most likely happen in there!

She has a date! On Valentine’s Day!!

“Miss Luna, are you sure?” Max asked her, getting ready to take a staff shift waiting on guests rather than his usual bodyguard duties. “It’s chilly out.”

“I have a jacket!” Luna said excitedly as she wrapped her big fluffy jacket around her tighter. She looked like a ruffled chicken, with the white feathers drowning her tight red dress.

“Stay close to the house Miss. The cameras are on tonight.” Max told her of course, always thinking about her safety.

“Got it!”

Luna wasn’t gonna stay out for too long or worry about the silly cameras, since she’ll be inside living it up with her date!! They’re gonna have a grand entrance, as she holds his hand and he guides her down the steps. His tux is gonna match her dress perfectly and they’re gonna dance like the night was just starting!

Right now it was the hardest part of the night, waiting and talking to people who remember her from when she was a baby though Luna for the life of her can’t remember them. Business men start looking the same to her. Though she faked it, she was rather nice and polite. Surface level at best and that was okay with her as long as she made the older men laugh and set their wives up with wine being served inside.

“Good Evening! Oh it's so lovely to see you again.” Luna would fake a happy little smile, wish them well. “Oh my daddy is already serving wine, I even hear he's opening bottles of Château.”

And Luna would try to do that entire routine for as many people who came in. With a bright bubbly demeanor and a precious smile that couldn’t be beat. She just needed to be strong the entire time waiting for her date to come right up to her. Offer his hand and waltz her into the party with amazing elegance. Luna was so busy day dreaming that she didn’t notice another man coming right towards her.

“Good Evening Miss Wright,” said the man. Clearly dressed nicely and looking crisp like he was recently steamed for the occasion. He had eye bags that could kill and so Luna assumed he was one of those intellectuals that tried to impress her dad for sponsor money. Which yeah Luna can respect the hustle, coming to her would probably help him. Well if Luna had a say in something like this.

“Hello! Pleasure to have you,” Luna says, reaching out her hand for a handshake which the man takes.

“Did your father enjoy the statue he bought off me,” He asked and Luna had no clue what he was talking about. Though her dad bought so much and donated so much she had no clue what was actually in and out of the house. Once something was considered in Dad’s personal collection it was out! Donated and some of his taxes were taken off for the value.

“He’s very much enjoying it! It adds an air of sophistication to our garden.” Luna lies like breathing. Putting on her best good girl impression. The kind of smooth operator that was on top of everything. Though she didn’t even live in the manor full time. She was stuck in a dorm down in the city.

He let go of her hand and already the much taller man that looked to be his bodyguard was reaching up the stairs.

“Good good,” He said, looking over at that other man. “That statue had some sentimentality to me, though it's good your family is enjoying his elegance as well.”

“Uh, yeah.” Luna says and already he was leaving just as fast.

Luna shivered as the man walked past her, his eyes didn't shine. She tried to not to think about that man, which should be easy since she didn’t even know his name. Like the rest of the crowd. She was easily distracted by another set of people coming right over to her and talking to her. Barley knowing them though doing her best to keep her happy demeanor.

When the twenty-third maybe rich couple came to greet her like she was the hostess at a restaurant came and went. Luna was wondering about what was going on with her date.

In order to make everyone comfortable Luna did not touch her phone at all while she was greeting people. Though that went to the wayside when the night was getting later and the night was darkening. Luna checked her phone and two entire hours had passed without her date even updating her about anything. No emergency or parking situation that caught him up!

So Luna sighed as she called him once to see what was holding him. It rang and rang, then rang some more but he didn’t answer. Yeah sure this wasn’t a cause for concern, he always answered on like the third call anyways. So Luna tried again.

Then again.

One more time for good measure.

Though by the time she called for the last, he made it very clear that he wanted to stop ‘talking’ to Luna. Since he blocked her.

She didn’t have that super special date anymore, now standing in the cold. Waiting for a man who would never come. She took long deep breaths, grateful that all the guests had made it in, even the ones who were fashionably late. Luna wished she hadn’t told Dad that she would love to introduce her boyfriend to him. Or the fact that she told Carlos he would have liked him so he didn’t need to worry about her. She broke that pinky promise.

As Luna was thinking more and more about ditching the party. Someone placed their hand on her shoulder, gentle like they were touching the petals of a flower.

“Miss Luna,” Carlos said in his stern voice. Though Luna could tell he was looking behind him at the open doors.

“Oh honey what's wrong,” His tone shifted into that gentle softness that always got her tearing up. It broke the camel’s back as Luna’s tears sprang down her face.

“I’m okay! My date had something to do,” Luna said in her best guest voice, one that was getting horace though well practiced. “I’m just sad so I might walk around the garden.”

It was certainly an excuse to not let him see her in such a state, though it was the only thing she could think of at the moment. Besides he must have been busy anyways, it's Valentine’s day and it made everyone the worst.

“Miss Luna,” Carlos sighed gently, and Luna could hear the beeping of his pager. Already needed again.

“I’ll be fine,” Luna concluded the statement, taking a couple of steps down the stairs. Her heels clicked on the pavement that made Luna feel like a super cool adult.

She wished she still had a date though, so she could hear the clack of her heels louder as they descended down the stairs. The clack would have been so crisp on the marble floor and followed her to the dance floor. Luna would have looked so cool, she even made sure to put on extra long heels.

Heels that almost tripped her up, grabbing at the railings and trying to put on her bravest face for Carlos. Since she didn’t need to be consoled like a toddler anymore! Luna just needed a moment to be alone like any adult after a bad evening. Like Mom and the wine cellar!

Luna turns around with a bright smile, fake as the one she's been giving all night. “I’ll be in the garden if you need me!”

“Uh! Yes Miss Luna.” Carlos said conclusively. Letting her wander on without him.

Though before Luna was about out of the way, she could hear him call out to her.

“Miss Luna! Please be careful! Stay by the estate! I will check on you!” He yelled out into the night as Luna was seeing him illuminated by the house lights that were popping in automatically. The yellow lighting of the old house lights illuminating his features to Luna.

His brow furrowed so deep Luna was concerned that this night alone would give him a wrinkle. So she waved towards him, smiling for real.

This was enough for Carlos to leave her be, to cry in the garden and come back stronger. Like an adult should cry.

Luna walked along the garden path, around the house until she reached the back patio. The kind of nice area that would be used for a family cookout. Though the camera’s and more elaborate statues that lined her pathway made Luna shiver. She remembered when the house was so full of life, though the world was much more colorful. When the garden was always nice and on display for house guests and family. Now the statues replaced the people, and they glowed white in the light.

These things were another niche that dad got interested in, which totally freaked her out and probably killed off any guests they would have gotten. The statues were large, scary beings of stone, like they could come right to life. They reminded Luna of those scary evil alive dolls that had eyes that move, and talked about you behind your back. This would have been the perfect place to cry if it wasn’t for all the eyes, in both the cameras and statues. So Luna moved more towards the end of the estate.

The smoothest operator knew of the blind spots, well the convenient places to get a quick cry. Just near the end of the garden closest to the vegetable patch.

As Luna slowly entered the blind spot, it was clear that Daddy’s newest statue was put there to deter the workers from smoking on the property besides the designated smoking area. Luna huffed as she looked up at a rather small statue, nothing like the ones she was always so used to seeing nearest to her home. This one was an intellectual who stood tall and reached out with one hand while the other rested on a stone book. It painted a picture of a scene she was so sure came with a lot of story that the artist will never get to tell since it's owned by her dad now. Luna wondered how he didn’t fall over with a stance like that but his base was much larger than the usual pedestal, just enough for Luna to sit down at his feet. Right in the blindspot. So maybe he wasn’t so bad since she got a nice place to sit. His cool stone feet were much better than the dirt.

“So you’re new,” Luna said as she was talking to a statue. It made her instantly embarrassed, her cheeks heating up and her face becoming uncomfortable. Slowly she took off her jacket to calm herself down.

It was nothing more than a statue! One that didn’t even look that realistic. It couldn’t talk to her and comfort her, though Luna wished that god would give her someone to just talk to.

Though Luna looked up at him, instantly regretting it since she got an upskirt sight of his very real yet hidden anatomy. Clothing that draped him seemed to be the afterthought of the artist, duly noted don’t look up. At least, on his sculpted head, he had a pair of ears. They must have been better than nothing.

“You!” Luna breathed out as she looked away.  “Look friendly,”

Luna got a bit more comfortable, putting her jacket onto her lap and sighed. Her brain turned into all sorts of mush. How can people talk about their feelings? Like it was so easy to open up.

“You won’t judge me right?” Luna asked him and silence befell her.

“Thank you,” Luna sighed into the void between them. Though it was good and this felt right, starting out slowly.

Luna could do anything! Like making her dad’s newest statue into her therapist.

“That guy, I really liked him!” Luna started off. Staggering off as the tears finally started to fall from her face. It was so fast that it made Luna finally bite down and say it.

“He said he was ready to meet my dad.” Luna said and the tears really ramped up, “I think he was just using me.”

It was one thing Luna didn’t want to admit, but this boyfriend wasn’t a good one. Like the other ones and the last one after him. To Luna they were alright! Though this one really needed the money and once Luna was dried enough, and ready to take it to the next level. He started to flake her for more than a month now. Though she told him for months that this was the most important event to come too! At least to show her dad that she wasn’t just a little girl with little dreams.

So a boyfriend that probably has moved on without her, and a dateless Valentine. It was really showing her dad that she wasn’t ready to move out on her own.

Luna’s tears carried down her face as little sobs escaped her throat. She felt like she was choking on her own cries. Though leaning back a bit, the cool feeling of stone legs kept her grounded. Taking deep breaths as she shivered at the coldness. Luna was just so upset and it was finally coming out like a waterfall, all of her despair that had been wallowing in self pity came down. Her poor makeup was also being ruined and soon enough she would have to go inside to re-do all that work.

“You know! I looked so pretty today and he never got to see me at my best!” Luna declared, her sadness turning slightly angry when she saw a drip of black on her expensive white fluffy coat!

It was her fault, though her boyfriend ghosted her for a month so she could blame whatever she wanted on him.

“It was like it was all for nothing! He came into my life, guns blazing and walked all over me.” Luna huffed and she pushed her coat to the side so the tears threatening to fall off of her face would hopefully fall onto her thighs.

Luna took long deep breaths and looked up to stop messing up everything around her, making sure not to catch a glimpse of the statue’s junk. She sighed, it was all so ridiculous to cry to a statue. Who at least listened to her unlike her boyfriend.

So Luna sat, dateless and alone on Valentine’s day. Boyfriendless. Aimless. And Kissless.

It was for a moment Luna sat with the idea, at least one of them could say they had an interesting Valentine’s day. So Luna stood up, facing the statue, her face grew hot and she double checked the camera’s a couple of times. So she wouldn’t be called later to her dad’s office and asked why she was sucking face with a statue. Though Luna steeled her nerves and the fluttering butterflies in her stomach. It wasn’t like he was a real man, so kissing him shouldn’t be anything weird.

It was a thank you.

Luna stepped onto his feet. Holding onto him so she wouldn’t slip and fall. That would be so embarrassing if she fell and hit her head. Luna couldn’t even blame any booze in her system.

She wrapped her arms around him, now realizing that she was terrified of heights and all three feet of them. Luna finally got a good look at the statue’s face. He was handsome for stone though his expression looked scared.

He couldn’t be blamed, she put him in an odd situation. Though Luna bit down on her lip, leaning forward slightly.

As their lips met in a gentle kiss, Luna’s sorrows began to drain from her. More tears sprung from her eyes and slid down onto her cheeks like early morning rain sprinkled down onto a flower’s petals, only to meet their demise as water met stone. Luna slowly and carefully detached herself from the statue. She pouted with those light tears making her feel much more insecure about herself.

“I don’t even know your name,” Luna said to lighten her mood, as she let go of the statue for a second to wipe her face off a bit.

Luna slowly felt something ride all the way down into her bra, she blushed as she looked down to see rocks in the crevasse of her breasts. Little pebbles that weren’t there before, Luna quickly glanced up. Her hands making their way towards his face, she needed to see and maybe feel if she broke the statue!

Daddy is gonna kill her if she broke something so expensive!

CRAACCCKK!

That was such an expensive sound! Luna panics as she tries to keep the pieces together but they keep cracking down the statue. She held nothing but rock segments into her hands and suddenly…

The statue looked back at her.

Luna staggered back as the eye became more visible, half of a face yelled at her with no sound. The cold stone was warm. Luna thought she was done for as she fell onto the floor, but flesh crushed the impact her head was going to make with the ground.

Her body pressed up against something solid, and yet it breathed. Luna opened her eyes, to see nothing but flesh and blood, the statue man was breathing so hard against her. She also had to keep steady or her heart might explode into a million pieces.

Luna was the first to make eye contact with him, and he was so handsome. Strong features that grimaced in pain and brown eyes that she could get lost in. Her heart raced in her chest, and so did his. Like they were synced and so close.

“Hey, that was really dumb!” The statue said and the magic was gone.

“Uhm!” Luna quickly tried to sit up, her head met with his chin in a harsh punch. She held her forehead as the statue boy moved back, cradling his chin.

He was also unfortunately exposing himself for Luna to see.

“Lady!” Statue boy exclaimed now that they were some distance away from each other. Not even realizing that kind of compromising situation he was even in.

As he cradled his chin, Luna was taking deep breaths and trying to figure out her situation! Daddy’s statue is gone! It's a real boy who's right there, he's flesh and she felt so much of that flesh. Even though he was stone he felt so warm and real. Luna’s hands started to tremble as all of this was overwhelming her. Though she's a capable girl!

Luna was so smart! She went all the way over here to cry and knew the blind spots! That was so smart…

She quickly goes right over to the statue boy, tugging him back onto the pedestal.

He catches on quickly and backs onto his old base. Luna catches a glance of his injuries, biting down at her lip once she sees that he really took a tumble for her.

“What's the situation,” He asks as he glances over towards her. The statue boy is still taking long deep breaths, and Luna wished her mouth wasn’t dry from all this excitement.

“There are cameras,” Luna huffed out, leaning towards him slightly. She poked at his skin, a bit of his shoulder that wasn’t lacerated by the fall.

The boy smirked at her, and it was all true. She felt him and he was the real deal. A statue came to life.

Luna’s heartbeat raged a thunder as she watched him move around. His hands and how glided over the specks of rock that covered his entire body. How they looked rough and his expression hinted at some sort of thought swirling in his mind. He didn’t even ask her any questions and yet looked so sure of himself but yet he was in her garden. He didn’t know that though! So how could he stay so calm when Luna’s mind raced with questions.

Who is this man? Where did he come from? Why was he here? How did he get out of the stone?

It was then that Luna could see that they had switched roles, where he observed her and yet they both stayed silent.

His hand reached up to her face, gently cupping her cheek into his hand. Luna felt like she was gonna go into shock, his thumb grazed her lips. Her dripping makeup covered his hand which embarrassed Luna, having no time to fix it up before this man came in. He leaned in closer, though it was only to wipe a bit more mascara off of her eyes.

“Oh yeah this formula is potent as hell,” He said and retracted his hand. “You might wanna take that off your eyelids if you wanna keep them.”

Luna gasped as she hard rubbed her face from the poisonous gunk, she heard the man next to her laugh a bit and already a terrible night managed to somehow turn worse!

“My name is Ishigami Senku,” He introduced and accommodated her jacket for himself. At least covering his naughty bits that distracted Luna from her main goal here.

Which was how to explain to daddy what the hell happened here!

“Luna Wright,” She said to him as she wiped her hands on the pedestal to get any remains off of her.

“Wright…” Senku said to himself and at least he knew of her. Maybe he would be less of a jokester when it came to her makeup.

She really needed to get inside, though what was she going to do with Senku? With Daddy’s expensive statue broken into a million pieces. And the party's still going on! She was so lucky no staff was around to detain Senku on the spot, but it would be hard to get him out when he's like this. Of course Luna is a capable girl! She could get any trouble maker out of her way when she needed it.

“So do you kiss statues often?”

Luna felt like she was lit on fire. “I don’t kiss statues!”

Senku motioned to his stained hand, which looked a bit red now. “I can deduce that you kissed me.”

“Firstly that you’ve been crying heavily, so with both formulas mixing together it creates this toxin that helped me break out.” Senku stated and Luna guessed her lip plumper was messing with his fingers now.

Luna helped? Well of course she helped! She was just too capable for her own good!

She sighed as that cat was out of the bag, she kissed a statue one time and he came alive to tell the tale of it. Luna couldn’t exactly make eye contact with him now, though she was so impressed. How he managed to clock his way of escape so easily it made her sore. Like her ego took a nosedive off a diving board and broke its elbow.

“Thank you,”

It was a whisper and it caught Luna by surprise. She accidentally bit down on her lip and nodded her head. What was she thinking! She’s Luna Wright! The smoothest operator there is!

“So are you like a statue person that came to life, or did you get like stuck ?” Luna asked him. It was a question that brought a heavy silence between them, with a couple of deep sighs from Senku.

Senku looked off to the side to make eye contact with her, but she was already one step ahead of him.

Luna got a good look at his face, and the stone didn’t do him justice. Somehow he looks even younger than he was in the stone. It must be he’s finally got that softness of his flesh back. She blushed when Senku won the staring contest between them. Luna blinked once and a smile erupted on his face. Though Luna was glad at the very least. Since it lightened the mood a smidge.

“It’s a loong story,” Senku insisted, though to Luna who looked out to the distance of the house, with nothing but the party hall lights on, she had all the time in the world.

“Could you tell me a part of it? So I could help you better.”

“You help every naked stranger you meet?”

Luna blushed at that comment, she turned her head away although Senku was already laughing at her. How can he be so casual? In a dire situation like this, although for a second he made her forget about how worried she should be!

“I got turned into stone by my own discovery,” Senku explained, and he stood up to sit on the pedestal of rocks. Just barely grazing the camera line.

Whatever it only took Luna like a month to figure out where they were no big whoop.

“Is it alright for me to ask?”

“Ten billion percent, you’re right in needing all the information you can get.” Senku said and he looked up at the darkening sky. With the garden lights finally turning on for the pathways. “I’m just soaking it all in, to be free and talking to someone.”

Luna nodded solemnly, and it looked like she wasn’t the only lonely person on Valentine’s day.

She put her cheek on the pedestal, laying there her feet on her tippy toes to just wallow in how cold tonight is. Music blaring from the house and Daddy must have given up on the live band a while ago. Though at least she wasn’t stewing in her own misery, since it loves company.

“Miss Luna!”

Her head shot right up as she heard her name being called. With the night taking a turn for the weird, Luna forgot all about Carlos! Her hands instinctively went over to Senku to pull him down before Carlos could turn the corner and see him. With her force and that unexpected movement, it made Senku crash down into Luna.

She hit dirt and Luna worried about her dress! That was so expensive, the thought of it being damaged sent shivers up her spine worse than the pain in her back from the fall. Though the heavy weight on her was crushing her stomach. She gulped down on some air, as Senku slowly raised from the situation they had found themselves in.

Luna opened her eyes to find another pair of brown, Senku who held himself up with his elbows. Their faces were inches apart and so close that she could feel his breath on her skin. She felt his thigh in between her legs, her dress must be riding up since she could see him fully. He wasn’t a stone man. Goosebumps crawled over Luna’s skin in droves like ants marching all over her, well that part might now be that untrue if they kept this position for long. In the corner of her eye she could see that her jacket was hiding in the dirt and no longer on Senku. Both of their faces grew hot, Luna desperately wanted the dirt to consume her now. It took her dress; it might as well take her as well.

In all her days, Luna didn’t understand why Senku got closer to her. Luna’s heartbeat rattled in her rib cage like a hummingbird strapped in an enclosed space. Her breathing was so shallow and Senku must know that she was making her hyperventilate! Though being so close, Luna breathed when Senku did. She could feel his heart when her breathing finally started to calm down a little bit. It was also racing, though he stayed so calm the entire time.

“What the hell happened!”

Luna held herself lower to the ground, closer to the pedestal so Carlos wouldn’t see her right away. Senku kept still with her. She could hear his hasty footsteps and Carlos getting on his phone as he ran off towards the house.

She can finally breathe again and Senku slowly peels himself off of Luna.

“Could you tell me about the origin of…” Senku asked, though as Luna sits up he allows Luna some privacy to fix her clothes.

Luna takes that courtesy not so lightly as she mangles her dress back down and fixes herself up. She picked cigarette butts off of her person and sighed and everything was so messy now.

“You as a statue!” Luna finished his sentence and peeked over the pedestal. “So I know you’re like really new, cause I left for college and now I’m back and here you were,”

“I’m not exactly new,” Senku smiled and wrapped her jacket around himself again. He was all over her the least he could do was be hard about it.

“But I’m starting to understand the timeline of events.” Senku stated as he also checked over the pedestal.

“Do you know who the seller is?” Senku asked as he stood up again,

Luna didn’t remember a lot of names from the many people she had to meet tonight. Lots of donors to her dad’s charities, and a lot of them suck up. University men looking for a sizable dono from her dad to their institution that kissed ass the most. People who drove those cars to sell and donate. Luna couldn’t remember statues right up at the ends of their garden since they get sent away so fast so those providers aren’t exactly what Luna was looking for. Maybe?

Though there was one man that came in really fast, and she lied to him like the rest. She remembered him saying something about his elegance. Using pronouns for a statue was some crazy talk, though Luna was talking to one.

“So uh you’re looking for some guy, who's real smart yeah?” Luna asked, which gained a nod from Senku.

“You’re thinking you might know someone,” Senku said and it was like he read her mind.

“He’s probably at that party.” he said and leaned over the pedestal to get a good look at the cameras.

“How did you know-” Luna wished she knew what the hell was his deal but Senku explained it all with a point of his finger towards the loud part of the estate.

“Your dress and the lack of staff at the Wright Estate.” Senku stated. Well yeah but those were obvious clues, if Luna was in his situation she would have probably known that too. Yeah totally.

Luna looked out to the cameras, she pondered at what could pass off as a viable excuse to her dad. Yes, during the time of the statue’s disappearance she was in the garden with a stranger. She blushed to herself just thinking about the conversation. “Are you trying to get into the estate?”

“If it's an option.”

She nodded at the strange man that wanted to go into her house, who wouldn’t in this situation. Though Luna felt like she was still at odds. It's not like she always helps out naked and good looking strangers! But helping someone in need, it made her feel capable.

“If you really want to go see the man that did this to you,” Luna said and stood up getting ready to cross the threshold of the camera lines. “Do you wanna be my date for Valentine’s?”

Luna could feel his eyes right on her back, and it made her feel like she was burning up. She asked a magic stranger to be her Valentine’s and he was just standing there! Though this was probably better than being with her ex. Luna wanted to be in high spirits about that, since her mopping was ended by Senku’s appearance. He might as well take responsibility for it by being her date.

By his own volition, Senku took Luna’s hand. She took it as a yes and slowly took the first couple steps. “I think we should pretend to be a bit drunk.”

She merely suggested it and Senku already wrapped his arm around her. Leaning against her with him intentionally failing around a bit. “It only makes sense that I play this part.”

Luna didn’t expect Senku’s willingness to pretend to be drunk so fast, she could barely handle her laughter as it exploded out of her. After her whole night of crying and dragging her feet. It was so good to laugh, and she didn’t do it alone at all. Senku’s own laughter echoed across the way with her and Luna felt her heart aflutter.

Everything about right now and a couple moments prior felt like a dream, one that she couldn’t even wake up from. Luna felt like she had been crying so hard that she was just delusional and nothing was the way it seemed. That this night would end in a blur after she goes in for the rest of the party. Though taking clunky steps with this stranger was the most grounded Luna had felt in a very long time. She was having a bit of fun despite the terrible situation.

She needed this.

As they approached the door, it was when Luna got a bit more serious. She needed to get Senku in fast and without the cameras lingering on them for too long.

Luna was the first to peel off of the other to go put in the door code, with Senku kinda leaning onto her as she pressed the code in. In the corner of her eye she could see a camera and tried to strike a smile though Senku couldn’t see her fake face and she began to worry. She leaned into Senku and her lips were pressed onto his cheek.

“Cameras smile,” Luna kinda fake giggled into his cheek like she told him a joke, failing the code once cause she wasn’t looking.

Senku followed with a smile and made sure to press her hand to the door again.

He was crazy to put his hands on her like so, if Carlos was the one that got to check out the cameras he would flip seeing Luna being held by a strange naked man. Senku’s hands landed on her waist, with the other slumped low near her thigh. Pretending still to be intoxicated, needing good ol’ Luna to help him towards the building. Her body arched into his and she yes maybe it's because she feels lonely, but there was some chemistry there. Her blood pumped in her veins and the door code was finally put in correctly and they were in.

They entered the manor with success, Luna checked around quickly. She knew that the only cameras that were on right now, especially during a party, would be all the valuables here, like dad’s office and wing of the house. The more domestic areas were cleared at least for right now.

“Clear?” Senku asked with a charming grin. It made Luna’s heart beat in her chest.

“Yeah we’re good,” Luna said as Senku straightened himself out.

Luna sighed in relief and as if in reflex she started to walk towards her bedroom with Senku following along.

“So do you need a phone call?” Luna asks as she looks at her jacket, sighing and hoping it was still in the pocket. Well she had an extra one but she really liked that one.

“I would appreciate one,” Senku said as he looked around at his surroundings.

They made it to her bedroom and Luna’s heart kept beating as hard as a drum. The music of the party making the floors slightly reverberate under their feet and the blood in her face was now settling down into a slow burn of heat echoing into the rest of her body. She opened the door to her bedroom and besides it being slightly cleaned since the last time she stepped it. It was the same childish bedroom she always had, though by highschool she wanted very different colors her dad still thought of her as a baby who would change her mind every minute and decided it wasn’t worth the hassle. But he didn’t even go into her room once.

“You really are a Wright,” Senku commented and went into the room. He closed the door behind them both and Luna wondered if she should put out a towel for him to sit on.

They were both covered in dirt and Luna sighed as she looked down at her dress. She fished out a cigarette butt from her breasts and sighed as she flicked it to the side. Her beautiful feather jacket was covered in muck and a little bit of Senku’s blood.

She barely knew him and yet he still saved her from a gnarly blow to the head. Luna smiled as she watched Senku meander around her room until he found the bathroom.

“Would you mind if I freshen up?” Senku asked as he looked over at her.

“Uh! I don’t mind at all,” She said as she quickly went to her closet, walking in towards the back to get an extra robe and gave it to Senku to put on. “I’ll find you something to wear.”

Senku thanked her and entered the bathroom.

Luna was alone again, her mind and breathing finally calmed down now that she was alone. Opting to go change into a robe in her closet. Mourning her sweetheart dress and now feeling so tired, what was she going to do now.

Carlos saw the statue went missing and possibly told staff about the possibility of someone stealing Senku off the property. Luna’s father must have been aware of the situation and the fact that she never made it to the party. She also needed to get across the house to the security room to destroy evidence!

She couldn’t really be tired, not when she was the one that destroyed the statue. By setting Senku free. So Luna combed through her wardrobe, and was making a mental list of Carlos’s nice suits to put Senku in. If they were going out as a couple, the least Senku could do was match her dress.

“Luna?” Senku asked as he opened the closet door.

The both of them made direct eye contact, their roles switched. Though it seemed as though Senku didn’t even care as he walked into the closet!

“What are you doing! Get out!” Luna fret and covered herself. The sweetheart dress barely halfway off before her scatter brain could even pick out an outfit.

Senku was looking around in her closet and seemed to not even notice that Luna was just in her underwear which made her more self conscious in the moment.

“I think my date wants to ditch this party, so we have to move fast.” Senku stated, and he got Luna again. It was unfair at this point that he seemed to understand her without her saying it outright to him.

Unlike her ex boyfriend.

“Well we need our outfits to match,” Luna said as she regained herself a bit and looked at her red dresses that lined up the wall.

“Do you have a suit in mind?” Senku asked.

Maybe it was unfair to compare Senku so hard to her ex-boyfriend who was more of a man child than an actual man. Though she did like him because he was smart, that apparently never really gave him an edge maturity wise. So it was kinda a shock to her system. Like asking about a suit should not be the thing that makes her heart thump in her chest.

“I think with your eyes, maybe the good garnet colored suit my driver owns.” Luna commented quickly. “I remember it having a golden buckle, and a white shirt would make your face pop with the gold accessories. I have a watch actually!”

Luna felt her face burn as she got a bit too into this whole make-over.

“I’m excited to meet your dad,” Senku said.

Most guys would rather die than meet Luna’s dad, it was just how those college guys were. Maybe it was just the intimidation of meeting her family or the fact that they were so wealthy that it made them uncomfortable. Then they would get uncomfortable with her afterwards, though Luna really wanted a guy to meet her dad. She wanted a boyfriend who would gladly shake her dad’s hand without being scared or flake out on her. Out of everything, this might have been the weirdest thing to get nervous about but Luna loves her dad. She wanted someone to not be afraid to step up for her. An ever capable girl like herself deserved it.

“Really?” Luna asked Senku, just to really see what he wanted.

Senku nodded his head, combing through her dress like he was deciding what she should wear. It was kinda funny, they were both barely dressed and yet they were scrambling to get out there. Luna gulped as she quickly moved her body away from Senku, but handed him a robe. It would at least cover him better than the towel about his waist.

“Yeah, your family is so loaded.” Senku mentioned taking the robe and putting it on. He tied the strings on the front quickly to elaborate more. “Your dad is a huge donor to the laboratory I was working at. I never got to meet him but he's the reason I got to work.”

It almost takes Luna’s breath away, well yeah she knew that her dad only really donated to charity for his own gain. Doing this to be exempt from a lot of taxes, but it was nice to know that it was at least helping one person. She got to meet him as well.

“Oh yeah,” Senku said with an evil grin, “I want a good impression, he’s going to be my first cash cow.”

“Wait a second!” Luna panicked, since this wasn’t what she wanted! Though with Senku’s laugh and how he played around with her. She just smiled at his weirdness.

“If you can handle entertaining my dad,” Luna said, with her breathing getting a bit heavy. “I will get those security cameras!”

Luna’s heart was beating out of her chest thinking about sneaking around in her own home, but she wanted to do this. She can do this, she wasn’t just a capable girl but a capable woman.

“I trust you,” Senku said, shaking on it with her.
