Budo x Ayano - An Accidental Blossom

Summary:

So just some Budo and Ayano fluff because I haven't seen any yet. Maybe some implied Osana and Raibaru for pride month. Kinda made this late because I really don't wanna do honors work right now... also this does involve multiple POVs. There are clear points where POV switches but just wanted to point that out. Enjoy reading :)

P.S - I'll make another chapter once I get an idea of what this whole plot line is about! Also, this probably isn't the most accurate analysis but I did put a MBTI head canons and a few little quirks to make Ayano seem a bit more human because she deserves characterization :)

Work Text:

(Start 1st person - Ayano POV)

The pot began to boil a lot quicker than I anticipated, being so caught up quietly stalking Taro- err, observing Senpai. Soon enough, loud sizzling began to emerge from the hot stove top, and I could've possibly burnt the house down. Turning down the heat, I could just lift the steaming hot lid-

"Ouch!" How do the cooking club members make taking off the pot lid look so easy? I'm pretty sure I got 3rd degree burns just trying to lift up the pot lid before my hand jerked away from the heat. I pulled up my sleeves tossed in the noodles before skittering away from the hot stove, waiting for the noodles to boil. Right, I live alone and I have dinner to prepare and a plan for the next day. It was already Thursday, and tomorrow Osana may confess to my beloved Senpai! No, that can't happen...

Ayano exhaled her worries through heavy breaths, hunched over the counter as she began to chop up some carrots, onions, and scallion. Again she held up the cookbook, rubbing her temples. Digging around the pantry for some dried curry blocks, she tossed them into the boiling water the noodles were in once she had taken out the noodles painstakingly intricately, leftover slippery noodles picked up with some chopsticks as they dried in a colander. The buzzes from her phone vibrated through the marble countertop, eventually falling onto the cold tiles as Ayano poured the broth into the bowl with the noodles and stirred without worrying about the presentation. After all, putting in all that work just to eat it seemed a little arbitrary. Picking up the fallen phone, she tilted it from different angles to ensure no region of the screen cracked, checking these messages. Of course, they're from Info-chan.

"Your week seems to be rough. Have you found a plan to eliminate Osana?" her fingers already began fumbling with the chopsticks while trying to keep hold of the hot bowl without dropping it, Ayano slouched in a wooden chair while scarfing down the food. After all, trying to avoid the student council and the odd looks she gathered would prove to be quite difficult considering her awkard mannerisms and her mom's reputation. But at least academics came decently easily, biology in particular catching her interest. Perhaps she could sabotage one of their interactions with rat poison? No... a common rat poison works like a blood thinner and can be quite toxic to Senpai. That could potentially kill Senpai, kill their chemistry, kill their potential love... Okay! No rat poison! What about using the rodenticide on Osana? Yes, that could work. It would be like an accident. After all, turning her into a mind slave would be too much work, killing her via knife or any other physical weapon would be messy and make Senpai feel unsafe. Making it look like she took her own life? But no events would make it make sense that she would actually end up committing. I did sabotage some of the interactions they had. That can't be it.

"No, not yet... I was thinking about how to eliminate her." my bad posture starts to sink in as I slump further into my chair, holding my face in my hands, my palms gently squeezing the slight rough texture of my skin as I began to feel a headache drill into my skull from all the thinking. Rat poison might be alright. It's less of a mess to deal with, as I wouldn't have to clean blood, change clothes, or maybe dispose of the body. Plus, tying her hair into one of the fans would be way too bloody and troublesome. Drowning could be suspicious. But one thing for sure is that I have to get Osana away from Raibaru. But the girl follows her around like a cute, loyal little puppy. I'd be surprised if she didn't have a crush on Osana. Honestly, if Senpai rejects Osana, first of all, I'd have my beloved Senpai, but also, Raibaru would have her beloved Osana. Yes! Maybe I could embarrass Osana again! Expose her flaws, then finally Senpai may reject her! Perfect!

"On second thought, I might have a plan. Perhaps non-lethal or perhaps not. But because I have a stellar student reputation to keep up, do you mind getting rat poison for me?"

"Nope." - "But-" - "Nope, you go get it. You want to get together with Taro don't you?" - "... Alright fine."

Though devoid of most her emotions due to the Aishi Condition, she couldn't help the involuntary twitch of a smile on the corner of her lips at the minor banter she shared with Info-chan. Sitting in the wooden chair for far too long, she dumped the bowl into the sink, planning on cleaning it tomorrow. Her clothes were a bit tighter on her than usual. Before she had discovered Taro, she was a bit more lithe. Skinny with very little muscle on her. The black lacy camisole and matching shorts along with black high knee socks with black finishings at the top were actually a bit too big on her, but now, she had a bit of muscle on her. Perhaps from all of the lifting she did. After all, she did eliminate a few girls who she saw as rivals. Carefully luring each one away, into the bathroom maybe. Stab them at the back, painstakingly scrubbing the floors in a bleach, water, hydrogen peroxide solution, killing two birds with one stone as she cleaned both the mop and the floor from evidence. Hoisting each body into her arms along with bloodied clothes, she dumped them into the incinerator, evidence wiped away into ashes, well past recognition for even the most advanced scanners. The knife was also innocently cleaned with hydrogen peroxide and some dish soap, placed back into the cooking club as if the girls vanished without a trace. But still, she couldn't help but take some time to admire her muscles. Her back mostly gave away her muscle, though well hidden behind her shirt so it would be alright. Her legs were a bit thicker but generally remained skinny due to muscle distribution. Her arms were also quite affected, mostly her forearms and core which were used to carry weights as heavy if not heavier than her. Her clothes could barely contain her now, but maybe that could be a charming feature. After all, Taro did have a few crushes on athletic girls. So maybe she could have a chance like this.

With a brief spin, she landed into her chair, slumped over her desk as she went for her usual nightly Taro studies. Right, she decided to study and learn more about Taro via Info-chan ("Thanks Info-Chan!" - Ayano) , other students, and some other items from her other studies. She learned everything about him, his name, his classes, his schedules, his interests, when he and Osana met, each school he went to, his IQ, his MBTI, his enneagram, you name it and she knew it. From all of the late night studying, charming dark under-eyes decorated her dark gray irises and pitch black hair usually tied in a ponytail, but it pulled on her head and gave her a headache from time to time so she decided to take it out and let it cascade over her shoulders.

(1st person switch - Ayano POV)

Maybe it would be nice to have an ENFP, his subtle himbo personality when he wasn't around others. After all, the best MBTI to pair with her MBTI as an INTJ would be an ENFP MBTI wise. Taro is more of an INFP though... still a good match! He is a bit more on the stupid side but he's quiet, and sweet... but he might be disloyal. After all, every time he breathes a girl confesses to him. How irritating...

Ah crap! It's already 11PM? I should really get to bed... Each foot in front of the other, I find my way to my comfy sheets, hugging a pillow imagining it was Senpai cuddling with me. That would be a great reality, or a great dream. Front door's locked, alarm system armed, I hid the knives, locked my doors, locked my windows, closed the windows and closed my curtains. Alright, should be safe enough to sleep…

At the ripe time of 6:30AM, Ayano stumbled out of bed, digging through her clothes for her uniform, socks, and shoes. Brushing her teeth, washing her face and touching up with a bit of sunscreen, Ayano quickly got herself some fried eggs and rice, running out the door with the two in a disposable bowl and utensils. Scarfing it down, she runs to school, rushing past the flow of students to toss out her trash and spy on Osana and Taro. As usual, Osana scolds Taro for getting up so late, along with a few borderline dating and romantic suggestions for activities which ticks Ayano off a bit. But she had to keep her composure, for Taro, for Senpai.

Sneaking into the gardening club shed, she snatched up some rat poisoning, which would induce nausea in small doses. Slipping them into her pocket, she waited until lunch, recruiting Raibaru to distract Osana as she sneakily snuck in the rat poison, squished between grains of rice and veggies, smothered in sweet soy sauce mixed with honey. Hiding away and eating her own lunch, Ayano scarfed it down while beginning to watch over Osana and seeing her reaction to rat poison. Of course, rat poison takes a bit to kick in but oh was it satisfying to see. Rushing to the bathroom, retching into the toilet bowl. Such a sight was oddly satisfying, soothing her twisted desires. But she had to make sure Osana wouldn’t catch her in hindsight, as that might bring suspicion and possibly a weird reputation from her Senpai. Plus, class was about to start, and the Martial Arts clubs members were training.

Perhaps getting Raibaru away from Osana via Budo’s Task, would make killing Osana much easier. But how so? Rat poison works well and does kill her after infiltrating her system for a while but she needed Osana dead now. Perhaps she could stab her? Hit her in the head with a dumbbell? Dump her off the rails on the rooftop after an innocent meeting? Or maybe using one of her most prized things against her, her long, ginger pigtails caught into the vent? Maybe a bit too bloody. Maybe she could dump Osana off the rails. Considering how many times Osana had encountered sabotages, surely damaging her reputation even further can make it seem like she was driven to the point of… ending herself. It was as if it was a perfect plan, the gears in Ayano’s rain wiring with activity. Ayano herself however must’ve had terrible spatial awareness as she crashed into someone right in the back. Along with Ayano, the poor victim she fell into tumbled down with her like pins to a bowling ball in a strike.

“Oh my goodness! Budo are you alright?” The voices accompanying the victim of Ayano’s terrible spatial awareness chimed almost in sync to check up on their leader. Ah, out of all people it had to be him. The heroic, cute, popular guy at least one girl has a crush on every week albeit less compared to Senpai. Even then he was the worst. He’s suspiciously nice to everyone and it could potentially tarnish Ayano’s chances with Senpai!

(1st person switch - Ayano POV)

“Yeah I’m alright… Hey, are you alright? Watch where you’re going next time, alright?” Suspicious. Why is he so nice to a person who just crashed into me?? He reeks of sweat… wait, what if Senpai sees me like this?! Crap!!

“Ah, I must apologize.” Yes! Quick and brief, nothing more. Just say the apology and run the hell outta here. God I hate socializing! Why is he looking at me like that?

“No big deal… Are you willing to join the martial arts club? We’re looking for new members every day! We don’t ask for much, just show up once a week. Will you join?” This obnoxious himbo! Is he seriously suggesting I join the martial arts club right after I just bumped into him!? It probably couldn’t hurt but does Senpai like strong girls?

“Thinking pretty hard about it huh? Alright, I’ll give you some time. Hit me up if you wanna join! We’ll be in the zen gardens or the gardening club. I dunno, I usually let my club members pick.” Why is this himbo still looking at me like that?

Ayano slumped over against the wall, shifting her gaze toward the floor. Maybe she could give it a try. Plus it'd be nice to pass some time, join a club and gain some positive views about her for once. Yes... That could be it! Ayano knew what she needed to do. For Senpai...

(1st person switch - Ayano POV)

Maybe just join briefly, see what happens. Some good opinions about me can win his favor. Anything for my Senpai. Anything for him to be mine and mine only .
