It was year 10, new faces, new kids, new homerooms. Friendship groups and cliques had started to form and the divide between popular people and nerds had already been established. If you were a popular girl you’d have tan skin, long straight hair, wore clothes that revealed a lot more than the school policy allowed and were really bloody stupid. For boys it was lots of muscle, the classic fuckboy haircut or mullet, and you’d wear only basketball or football jerseys.
Now there were these three boys called the trouble trio. Lucas Reed a dumb blonde with green eyes, known as ‘The Tank’ for his reputation in the school boxing team. Roman Everret a flirty black haired Football player with piercing blue eyes. They call him ‘The Player’ for his vast number of Exes. And finally Oliver Montgomery He was ‘Golden boy’. People thought he was perfect, soft brown curls and pretty grey eyes. He played football and was also a boxer which made him pretty muscular.
The girls were practically the same, blonde, dumb, and very annoying. Amber Harlow, obsessive, bratty and all over Lucas reed. Brittney Ashford, loud, obnoxious and has a crush on literally everyone. Last but not least Katrina Sinclair, rich, famous and a massive prick.
Then there were the nerds. They all were the same regardless of gender. Glasses, ache, bookworms, into ‘weird things’ and incredibly smart. Though the boys tended to be labeled as ‘Simps’ or ‘Incels’. The girls were found to be ‘Teacher’s pets’.
But then there was Harper Hale. She didn't really fit into either of these groups. She had wavy brown hair and gorgeous hazel eyes. Harper was smart but not to the extent that the nerds were. She was pretty but not like the popular girls. So not fitting into any groups she kept to herself. Later being labeled as ‘the shy kid’ and being bullied for it-
Let’s hope this year was different.
