Uruha finished explaining the plans. As the last words left his lips he felt at ease, trusting him entirely, not a hint of doubt in his expression. He hugged Fushimi tightly, his eyes sparkling as he spoke, “I'll see you again once this is all over! It's not goodbye, I promise!"
Though he heard his words loud and clear, a great sadness overwhelmed Fushimi at the possibility it wouldn’t be true. The possibility that he would never again hear that sweet voice whispering softly, that he wouldn't feel those delicate kisses, that he wouldn't remember his touch as he watched him run further away.
He cursed the sky, where were the clouds he felt looming overhead? Where were the raindrops to disguise his tears? Where was the storm to drown out the sound of his cries?
Only a sunny day as he sat in isolation. Warm, but shrouded in the cold feeling of his absence.
