When you know someone cares

Genuinely

When you know you can genuinely trust them
Depend on them
Someone who actually understands
No matter the phrasing
No matter the other probabilities
No matter the other reasons
That person who is you
But not you
But it comes with that nagging feeling
The knowledge
They aren't gonna be here forever
And in a flash
It's been years and now
They're gone
But not fully gone
Still in your
Heart
Thoughts
And memories
Even if in the moment it hit you like a truck
Even if it made you feel
Like you would cease to exist without them
Like you couldn't continue

Even if at some point you felt like you couldn't exist
Now, a years passed
It still hurts but it's getting better
But no one is able to make you feel the same

Also the same nagging feeling of future loss haunts you...
