No one saw this coming, not Nether Rogue, who is more shocked than the rest of the X-Men. It all started a few minutes ago. When they came home from school and noticed an unknown motorcycle parked in the mansion's garage.
At first, they thought that the motorcycle belonged to Logan. Who just got back from one of the motorcycle trips. He goes on for a few months.
Once they walk inside, they get a massage. The professor asked the senior members to go up to his study. At the same time, the younger students report to the library to start on their homework. Rogue, Kitty Scott, Jean, and Kurt report to the study, seeing the professor and someone sitting in the chair across from him.
Rogue saw the back side of the person. She knows very well who this person is. She wasn't the only one, as Scott quickly covered his body in front of the professor. While Jean, Kitty, and Kurt surrounded the person sitting in the chair. Ready to protect their mentor and father figure.
''What are you doing here?' Scott asked, looking at the person in the chair.
This is no way to treat your coéquipiers.
Coéquipiers?
Professor, what is going on here?
Yeah, what does he mean by coéquipiers?" Kurt asked, along with everybody else who was looking at the professor and waiting for an answer.
Everybody, I would like to meet your newest member of the team, Gambit.
''WHAT.''

Remy, how about you go get settled into your room? Rouge will help you. dinner is at six o clock. The professor sees the tension and the minds of every person in this room.
Remy got up from the couch and walked past Rogue, who was looking at him and hadn't said a word at all since coming into the room. He grabbed his bag that was next to the door. Walking out of the room, Rogue walked next to him, still not saying a single word.
Is he joining the team, Professor? Kitty asked Remy and Rogue walked out of the room soon.
Yes, he is.
''He works with Magneto and is a thief,' Scott said still can't believe what is happening.
He also used and kidnapped Rogue taking her to New Orleans. Kurt said thinking about how he, Scott, and Logan traveled. All away to Louisiana to rescue Rogue.
Speaking of Rogue, you think this is a good idea to leave her alone with him? Jean asked, seeing Kurt teleport out of the room and Scott quickly walking out of the study.
Here is your room. Rogue said walking into the room with Remy. Who places his bags on the bed.
You must be wondering why I am joining the x man chère.
The last time we saw each other was in New Orleans in the middle of a bayou after we rescued your father. Rogue said, remembering that night for the first time in months. She started to feel like her old self again.
I did a little soul-searching. That night, after a few months, I decided that I needed a fresh start.

Rogue saw Remy walking over to her, he was four feet from her. When Kurt teleports in between them. Along with Scott, who came inside the room without knocking. Remy takes a few steps back to bed.
Are the two of you here to formally welcoming me to the team?
No, we are not. Kurt said with venom in his voice.
You may have gotten the professor thinking you changed. But not me, I will be watching you like a Hulk. If you hurt and use anyone in this...
''Hey, that's enough, Scott, you and Kurt leave him alone so he can get settled in. Rogue said, feeling that he had made his point here.
Rogue walks out of the room and walks down the hallway. She reaches her bedroom door when Kurt and Scott catch up with her.
''What was that?'
''What are you talking about? The professor wants me to help him get settled in.'
''No, defining him back there, haven't you forgotten he kidnapped and used you?'' Kurt said that even though it had been a few months. He was still mad about it. Rogue forgets all about it.
''He told me he was sorry, Kurt. I was alright. Now, if you don't mind, I've got homework to do,’ Rogue said. Opening her bedroom door and walking inside. Slamming the door in Scott and Kurt's faces.
Later that night, after introducing Remy. To the younger students, doing dinner. Remy was on his way to the bathroom to shower for bed. When he saw Rogue walking out of the bathroom in her pajamas.
Shower all yours, swamp rat. I saved you some hot water.
Thanks, bonne nuit et fait de beaux rêves.
Rogue stops, turns around, and looks at Remy.
What?
Goodnight and sweet dreams Remy said with a smile before walking into the bathroom.
Shortly afterward, Rogue notices the sound of running water. She turned around and saw Scott and Kurt standing there. Scott's arms folded looking at her. Not saying a word, Rouge walks away, going to her bedroom.
After Remy finished his shower, he was in his room playing with his cards. He drew a pair of queens for his deck. Thinking about that day he met Rouge. While he was fighting alongside Magneto. Then at her school that night. When she broke into their hideout. Followed by that night after he and Rouge saved his father. He gave her the same card to remember him by. He wonders if she still has it.
Chère. Remy said, placing the card on the table and getting into bed.
A few doors down the hall, Rogue lay in her bed reading her book. Trying to read her book, but Kitty wanted to talk about Remy.
How do you feel about him being here? You haven't said a word at all in the study. Kitty asked, looking at Rogue, whose eyes were on her book.
I am fine with it.
The younger students are seen to welcome Remy with open arms. They were talking to him all thru dinner.
We'd better get some sleep, we have an early training session before school tomorrow. Rogue said, eyes still on her book.
Good night ...then. Kitty said, reaching over to her nightstand and turning her lamp off.
Good night, Rogue said looking at her queen of hearts playing card inside her book before closing it. She places it on her nightstand and turns her lamp light off.
