Chapter 1: “we all bleed the colour red”

Chapter Text

you’re new to seijoh, but you’re not new to the people in the school.

you’ve moved schools a ton of times.

so you’ve been able to come to the conclusion that every school is the exact same. there are copies of people everywhere.

you’ve been friends with mean girls, outcasts, quiet kids, druggies, popular groups…

they are always the same, in a way.

-

it didn’t take you too long to make friends. you’re somewhat popular now.

your friends show you the ropes of the school. they tell you about everyone, and everything.

they tell you of the famous oikawa tooru. they’re always drooling over him.

it’s not anything shocking though—one glance at him, and anybody would fall in love.

including you.

every time they talk to him, you always stand far behind them, watching from afar.

they blush and giggle as he tells them sweet words.

but,

something you have noticed is that oikawa has no interest in your friends. actually, he has no interest in any girls at school.

you see behind his act—they’re all blinded by his beauty and flashy smile. to be fair though, it would be difficult not to be.

he’s not a bad guy. not at all. when you are seeing behind his “act”, you mean that the perfect and flawless oikawa doesn’t even see or think of himself that way.

he doesn’t feel he is worthy of all the praise and attention he receives.

his mindset— the “you can always do better and be better” mindset—is a very dangerous one.

it is killing him ever so slowly.

oikawa is loved and he is aware.

once he arrives home, the praise from the girls and the admiration from the guys is all just a memory.

it all leaves him the moment he steps foot into his cold and empty home.

he often thinks to himself;

“to be loved, is to be seen.
so how come no one can see past my act?”
