Something's Bugging Me (It's a Beetle)

Summary:

Seungmi had the toe of her black boot on Christy’s calf, the slow motion of her foot up and down along Christy’s leg. That, combined with the fact that she’d been giving Christy’s inner thighs soft caresses for the past five minutes, made the woman turn bright red. Every so often, she’d dip her hand a little higher than what could be considered publicly decent, but only long enough for Christy’s legs to tense and for her words to stutter.

---

Christy and Seungmi share a part of their fifth anniversary with a beetle that was not invited.

Work Text:

Seungmi had the toe of her black boot on Christy’s calf, the slow motion of her foot up and down along Christy’s leg. That, combined with the fact that she’d been giving Christy’s inner thighs soft caresses for the past five minutes, made the woman turn bright red. Every so often, she’d dip her hand a little higher than what could be considered publicly decent, but only long enough for Christy’s legs to tense and for her words to stutter.

What was she supposed to do, not tease the hell out of Christy? Seungmi had reasons for turning Christy on in the middle of a midday diner trip with Jisung and Changbin sitting across from them, it wasn’t just for fun.

Okay, maybe it was for fun a little bit, but Seungmi wasn’t usually this cruel. It was just that Seungmi just graduated and got her degree (literally, just did last week), and with the summer free of any multi-year projects or summer assignments, Seungmi and Christy finally had actual, actual free time. Which meant Seungmi already made plans to spend this summer getting busy.

Right now seemed like a perfect time to put those plans into action.

Also, it was their fifth anniversary! Seungmi simply couldn’t go on an anniversary date/hangout with the friend group without teasing Christy a little bit. Teasing Christy was her favourite pastime, after all, especially when she was squished up against the wall with nowhere to scoot away to.

“Noona, are you alright? You seem a bit out of it,” Jisung asked if she was okay after giving her a long, hard stare. For what it’s worth, he was actually concerned for his friend’s wellbeing, even if it only served to make the flame of embarrassment that was Christy’s face burn hotter.

Seungmi shoved her shoulder her her own. “Yeah, Christy, you alright?”

Christy reached over and pinched Seungmi’s thigh. She gasped from the momentary pain, then giggled because her attempts at riling up Christy had clearly been working. Christy answered Jisung’s question, “Yeah, it’s just hot out, Jisungie. I should’ve put up my hair.”

“Fifteen dollars says they’re doing freaky shit under the table,” Changbin whispered to Jisung, though it wasn’t really a whisper at all. Christy set her elbows on the table harshly and buried her face in her hands. Changbin choked on his own spit, asking, “Wait, really? Am I getting fifteen dollars??”

“No!” Seungmi shook her head, her bangs whipping from side to side as she vehemently denied, “I’m not doing anything!! Well, barely anything! I just have my hand on her leg. It’s not my fault.”

Christy stomped on her foot. “You’re such a liar.”

“Yeah, what proof d’ya got?”

“Only a guilty woman would react how you did to being called out.”

A new voice appeared at the head of the table, the other four of the friend group announcing their arrival with two hands set on the table and a flirtatious voice. “Ladies, ladies. No need to argue! There’s enough of me to—“

Three voices, simultaneously, “Shut up, Minho!”

The violator simply laughed, then slipped into the booth to sit next to Jisung with a simple greeting and a peck on the cheek. Changbin leaned over and muttered something to Minho, who turned and beckoned Felix to whisper something in their ear.

Christy sighed, saying, “Changbin, what did you—“

But, by the time Hyunjin and Jeongmi had slid in next to Christy and Seungmi, Felix was already wide eyed and slack jawed, their neck snapping to face Christy and Seungmi. “What is going on beneath the table right now.”

Immediately, the table burst into a chorus of ‘whoaaa’ and ‘whaaat?’ that was punctuated by Christy explaining, “Okay, okay, mister misinformation over there is lying, nothing is going on beneath the table.” Changbin cleared his throat and opened his mouth to speak, and Christy continued on, “Regardless of what mister misinformation thinks may or may not be happening, welcome to the anniversary dinner, you guys. It’s nice to have all of us together again.”

Jeongmi asked, quietly, “You’re paying, right?”

Seungmi snorted, “Everyone is paying for their own food.”

Christy hit the back of her head, gently.

Christy continued, for the last time, “I’m hosting everyone else and Seungmi is paying for her food.”

Christy shot her a look before she could complain, and so Seungmi shut up and grumbled about justice and fairness under her breath.

The dinner was nice, though. Seungmi cut out the teasing to really be able to enjoy having the friend group together again. It really was nice to see all of their faces, it had been, what, almost a year since they all hung out together like this?

Seungmi hadn’t seen Felix in so long. The two of them really needed to catch up. Felix kept sending her glances across the table that told her that they had some tea to spill, and it was hot.

Seungmi glanced in the direction of the bathroom, and raised her eyebrows at Felix. Felix nodded, then excused themself from the table. Seungmi followed suit, then jogged to catch up with them. Felix looped their arms together and pulled her into the bathroom. After checking that each stall was empty, they spun to Seungmi and asked, “Okay, first off, formalities, how’ve you been?”

Seungmi shook her head, “Just get to it.”

Felix rolled their eyes, then grabbed Seungmi by the shoulders, grip hard even through the fabric of her knit cardigan, and said, “If you want to have the most mind blowing sex with Christy tonight, I have some certain chocolates in my bag and one hell of a plan cooking up in my head right now.”

Seungmi’s jaw dropped. “You’re kidding.”

“I’m not.”

“You are!”

“I’m not! Really, I had a one night stand the other day, and she let me have some of the chocolate we used,” Felix explained while they reached for their bag, rummaging through it and producing two chocolate bars wrapped in a deep red foil with a brand name that was definitely an allegory for sex.

“Wait, wait, what’s your plan with this, anyway?” Seungmi asked.

Felix slid the candy back into their bag. “Simple! You take one of the bars, slip her a piece without telling her it’s an aphrodisiac, then seduce her on the car ride home. And, girl, trust me, these work so well. I had it up in, like, three seconds.”

“Oh my god, that is the worst possible decision I could make today. I love you so much, Felix. I’m definitely doing that,” Seungmi gave them a short hug, then joined their arms together so they could walk back out to the table.

It wasn’t hard for Seungmi to forget the plans she had set for the night once the dinner was over. She had a whole seven other people to pay attention to and hang out with, actually. The conversation ebbed and flowed between them, they had group discussions and turns telling about how their lives had been, updating on living situations and relationship statuses that may have been missed in the craze of separate lives.

Their group chat was lively for sure, and Seungmi sure learned some new information that she missed within the hundreds of unread messages left each night. Time passed quicker than she could have imagined, and before long, the sun set and there was someone’s foot poking against hers. It wasn’t Christy, she was engaged in a conversation with Jisung and Changbin, something about music composition that Seungmi didn’t understand. Hyunjin and Jeongmi were in their own world of conversation, and Minho was ‘taking a five minute nap’ on Jisung’s shoulder, so…

Felix grinned and wiggled their fingers at her. Oh, fun was about to begin. It was getting dark, wasn’t it? And they couldn’t stay a rowdy table in the corner of the diner for much longer. Felix pushed their bag to her under the table, Seungmi reached to grasp it, ignored the preposterous amount of plastic corner store pastry wrappers and receipts, and took one of the bars of chocolate.

Seungmi dropped the bag back on the ground, kicked the bag back to its owner, and leaned her shoulder on Christy’s shoulder. The table was loud enough to cover up the sound of the wrapper. Mostly due to Jisung and Changbin beginning to bicker over something or other–whatever. Seungmi didn’t really care, anyway. She only cared about how she had two squares of chocolates in her hand and, now, an unoccupied Christy. She hid the rest of the bar in the inner pocket of her cardigan.

“Christy…” She murmured, slipping her arm around her girlfriend’s and cuddling up close to her. She spoke breathily, she knew her warm breath against Christy’s ear would be irresistible. “You want a piece of chocolate? Lixie gave ‘em to me.”

“Y-Yeah. I’ll take some,” Christy agreed.

Seungmi slid her hand up, taking a square for herself, then pushing the other into Christy’s mouth.

The time passed in a blur after that. Seungmi couldn’t wait to get her sexy ass girlfriend wet and writing on her bed. The dinner ended, Seungmi didn’t pay for her own food, they all went around giving hugs and exchanging goodbyes. (Seungmi hugged Felix extra hard and slid the rest of the candy bar back into their bag.)
Christy was fidgeting when they got back to their car. Seungmi had to hold back a sly grin, she had to hold it back, or Christy would know that she was up to something. Instead, she gave a cute smile and said, “Ready to head home?”

Christy nodded, giving a smile herself. Seungmi knew why she didn’t speak. Christy’s voice got so, so fucked up when he was horny. It would go all sorts of high whines and low groans, but the girl just couldn’t have a steady voice. The drive was only fifteen minutes. The drive was a whole fifteen minutes. That was more than enough time for Seungmi to ease her way into groping Christy’s inner thigh and mouthing at her neck by the time Christy managed to pull into their driveway without crashing the car into anything.

Seungmi was the first to initiate a kiss once they stumbled inside, but just barely. Christy moaned into her mouth, a cute, quiet sound that Seungmi bathed in the glory of. Good god, Christy knew how to seduce a woman without really trying.

“Seungmi, Seungmi, baby…”
Seungmi worked her thigh between Christy’s, relishing in the strangled gasp that escaped from Christy’s throat and the way that her thighs quivered and clenched around her leg.

“Yes, love?”

“You… You definitely… You– fuck.”

“I what, baby?” Seungmi traced along Christy’s jaw with her lips. The feeling that could only be described as power rushed through her veins when Christy, all of her thick muscles and defined structure, melted in her arms. “What did I do?”

Christy whined, turning pliant. Seungmi bounced her leg a few times, a sly grin working its way onto her lips when Christy gasped and incoherent begs tumbled from her mouth. She had so much control over Christy when she was horny like this, so much dominance over the woman who could easily sling her over her shoulder and pin her down. How lucky she was.

Christy shook her head, her hands shooting to grasp Seungmi’s shirt in her hands. “I don’t know, I’m so– was it the–oh, god–was it the chocolate?”

“So smart, baby. It was the chocolate.”

Christy dropped her head to Seungmi’s shoulder, her arms slipping to encircle Seungmi’s waist. Seungmi settled her hands to Christy’s hips, her fingers digging into the fabric of her shorts, and pulled down. Christy keened, an involuntary shudder crawled down her spine. “Seungmi– no, wait, I’m gonna…”

“Oh, baby, Christy. Wanna go to the bedroom, you sweet thing?” Seungmi bounced her leg again, just long enough to have Christy writhing and nodding into the crook of her neck.

They lost their clothing along the way. Their shoes piled at the door, Seungmi lost her shirt, Christy lost her shorts, they tumbled through the bedroom door, Christy stripped off her shirt and pulled off Seungmi’s bra, and they both pulled the blankets off the bed.

Christy laid beneath Seungmi, hands on the thighs that straddled her hips a moment later. The kiss they shared was long and wet, moans shared in the quiet of the room. The AC unit rattled outside, it became white noise to fill the empty space. They separated panting, Christy whining through her teeth. Seungmi wasted no time in kissing down her skin, biting the lace of her dark pink bra and leaving a hickey on the skin right below her bust. She kissed down, down, leaving bites and marks.

Christy’s hands tangled in her hair and tugged, her whispered pleads leading Seungmi down to where she really wanted to be. Seungmi pulled down her panties, pulling them down just enough to lean back down to start getting to work. Christy’s legs wrapped over her head, a thigh pressing on each of her ears.

Seungmi almost had her mouth on Christy when she saw it.

It being the gigantic, disgusting, blood-curdling, fear-inducing, nauseatingly vile beetle crawling slowly but surely across their bedsheets. It was big, it had a bronze sheen, two wriggling antennae, shiny little beaded eyes, and six icky, hairy, disgusting legs.

Seungmi screamed. Loud.

Clothless body and burning core be damned, she kicked and thrashed until she removed herself from the bed, falling right on her ass. Christy went with her, lower body sliding down the sheets and leaving her back resting against the mattress. Christy didn’t have time to register the sudden rearrangement of her position before Seungmi was squealing, pushing herself up to keep sight of the– the– the thing before it disappeared and left her in crippling fear of ever stepping foot in her home ever again.

“Christy!! Look, look at it! K-Kill it!” Seungmi pulled Christy up and pointed at the beetle, still trekking its slow path across the bed. “It’s moving, do something before it’s gone!!”

“Me?? Me?! You do something, I’m not touching it!!” Christy stepped back, pulling her arm out of Seungmi’s grasp. She picked up a slipper from the floor, the face of a cow staring back at her, then tossed it at Seungmi. It hit her back, and Christy said, “Use that. Kill it.”

“Ewww, ew, ew, ew, I don’t want to! It’s going to get all over the bed if I do that!” Seungmi shook her hands and scrunched up her face, disgust clear all over her body language. “What do we do??"

“You’re asking me like I know?! I already told you what to do and you said no!”

“We’d ruin the sheets!”

“We’d buy new sheets!”

“With what money?? We just spent all of it on giving food to our big ass friends and their bottomless stomachs!!” Seungmi screamed when the beetle changed its path, crawling toward her, millimetre by millimetre. “It’s moving!!!”

Christy reached her hand back, obviously trying for her phone, before realising, fuck, both of them left all of their stuff in the car and there was no way in hell either of them would risk being alone in a room with that hellspawn of a creature for more than a minute. “Fuck, oh my god, Seungmi, we have to do something!!”

Seungmi’s heart pounded in her chest, she grabbed Christy’s arm again and pushed her toward the door. “Grab– Get a cup and paper.”

Christy whined, knowing that she’d be the one to carry out the procedure. “Oh, my god.”

“Go!!”

Christy gagged when she inched toward the bed a minute later, a paper towel in one hand and a cup in the other. The cup was clear plastic, stained slightly orange from whatever juices they occasionally bought. “Why would you grab a clear cup?!” Seungmi hissed.

“It was the first one I saw!!”

They fell into silence once Christy put down the paper towel, hands quivering. The stupid, stupid dumb-dumb icky beetle crawled onto it. Dumb bug. Christy stepped a few inches closer, cup in hand, breathing heavy, and— and— the beetle made a terrible hissy, clicking noise. Christy screeched, shoved the cup into Seungmi’s hand, and yelled, “I can’t do it!! You do it, it’s going to bite me or something!”

Seungmi groaned, and grabbed Christy’s hand. Both of their hands were quivering. “Okay, okay, I can do this. I can do this.” Seungmi glanced over at the beetle, and then, “Stupid bug!!”

Seungmi slammed the cup over the beetle and shoved her hand under the napkin. Christy cheered her on, a hand over her chest with a sigh of relief. Seungmi walked quickly, she made it out of the bedroom, through the hallway, and—

Oh, lord, she could feel the beetle having a fit through the napkin. Its tiny little legs stomped all over her hand, she could imagine the sensation of six disgusting little legs crawling all around her body, and then she couldn’t stop imagining the sensation of the hairy beetle legs all over her body and eewwww!!

Seungmi quit halfway through. She abandoned the mission, she crash landed the ship, she put the napkin and the beetle down on the kitchen counter and screamed. “I can’t do it!! I could feel it crawling around on my hand, I can’t do it!”

Christy groaned, and caught Seungmi with an arm around her shoulder before she could crumple into a ball of cries and spine-tingling sensations of bug legs on her skin. “What do we do with it, then?”

Seungmi sighed. They made eye contact. The bug screeched in its prison of tissue and stained plastic. Their frightened looks hardened into an agreement of a simultaneous formulation of a plan.

“Let’s throw it away,” they both said.

Seungmi grabbed a plastic grocery bag, Christy brought the trashbin over to the counter. Seungmi held the bag under the counter’s edge for Christy to, after taking a deep breath, push the cup, napkin, and beetle into. Seungmi fumbled with the bag handles, tying them into a double knot, then dropped the bag into the trashbin. Christy pushed the trashbin back to its place. It all happened in an adrenaline fueled blur, hands quaking and hearts pounding.

Seungmi spoke first.

“That’s it?”

“That’s it.”

“Thank god!! I thought I was going to die!” Seungmi wailed, ever dramatic, and threw herself into Christy’s arms. Christy held her close, burying her face into her neck. Both of their hearts were beating quickly against the other’s chest, made noticeable by their lack of clothes.

“Can’t believe we got cock-blocked by a beetle,” Christy murmured, “During pride month is crazy.”

“You know…” Seungmi’s hands slid down, down to Christy’s very supple ass, where she grabbed two handfuls. “We could still—“

“Mmm nope. Nuh uh.” Christy grabbed her hands and moved them back up to wrap around her waist. “Not anymore.”

Seungmi whined, yet obeyed. “What happened to all of the horniness from the chocolate?”

“Went away with the beetle. I am not having sex in that bug infested bed. We are washing the sheets.”

“Right now?”

“Right now.”

“And then can we have sex.”

“Maybe. That’s a hard maybe.”

Seungmi cheered softly, leaving a kiss on Christy’s temple. “I just wanna show you a good time for our anniversary, sweets.”

“I think that this was a wonderful bonding experience for us to have on our fifth anniversary,” Christy squeezed Seungmi tight, then said, “Seriously, though, let’s wash those bedsheets before some other bugs eat us in our sleep.”

“What a horrible way to spend an anniversary!!”

“Yeah, but you’ll be banging me so hard on the couch that you’ll forget all about the Herculean task that is taking five to ten minutes changing the sheets.”

Seungmi’s hands began their migration back down.

“That’s after we complete that Herculean task.”

“Ugghhhh!!”
