Glamour

Summary:

Glamour is the extraordinary “gift” wielded by the people of Luna. For years, those on Earth mistook it for magic. But glamour is not magic—it is the manipulation of bioelectricity, enabling a person to project thoughts and images directly into another’s mind.
Over time, Lunar society evolved around glamour: women could shape their appearance at will, bypassing the need for surgery or medicine, while children could manipulate others to get what they wanted—leading to widespread misuse, deception, and cruelty. On Luna, glamour made anything possible.
What you are about to witness is a series of stories centered on glamour during the reigns of Queen Channary Blackburn (108–110 T.E.) and Queen Levana Blackburn (113–126 T.E.).
These are the hidden histories behind Luna’s polished façade—the dark secrets buried beneath the shimmer they don’t want you to see.

Chapter 1: The Intro

Chapter Text

Glamour is the extraordinary “gift” wielded by the people of Luna. For years, those on Earth mistook it for magic. But glamour is not magic—it is the manipulation of bioelectricity, enabling a person to project thoughts and images directly into another’s mind.
Shells—Lunars born without the ability to both use and be affected by glamour—are immune to these illusions. This immunity is viewed as a threat to Lunar control and conformity, which is why shell infants are taken away at birth.

Glamour was first discovered and harnessed by Cyprus Blackburn, the founder of Luna and originator of the Lunar gift, following his exposure to gamma radiation. This power was passed down through generations, predating even World War III. Over time, Lunar society evolved around glamour: women could shape their appearance at will, bypassing the need for surgery or medicine, while children could manipulate others to get what they wanted—leading to widespread misuse, deception, and cruelty. On Luna, glamour made anything possible.

What you are about to witness is a series of stories centered on glamour during the reigns of Queen Channary Blackburn (108–110 T.E. / Earth year equivalent: 1994–1996) and Queen Levana Blackburn (113–126 T.E. / 1999–2012). During her rule, Channary legalized the infanticide of shell-born children, claiming it was necessary to preserve the sanctity of Lunar society. In contrast, Levana outlawed all mirrors—truth and clarity that shattered the illusions glamour relied upon.

These are the hidden histories behind Luna’s polished façade—the dark secrets buried beneath the shimmer they don’t want you to see.
