“Is there something wrong with my headpiece? Minato-san, can you help me take a look at it?” said Sayo, during Roselia’s MC segment in their live show.
“Sure,” Yukina replied, approaching the guitarist and examining her headpiece. “Oh. The jewel is tangled in your hair. Hold on, let me fix it for you.”
As the vocalist untangled the piece of jewelry in Sayo’s hair, the audience cheered loudly and chanted, “Yukisayo! Yukisayo! Yukisayo!”
The guitarist felt embarrassed and lightly pushed Yukina away. “That’s enough, Minato-san… Thank you. Ahem. Let’s continue to the next song.”
“...”
“The crowd sounded so excited when Yukina touched Sayo… They even chanted their ship name,” Lisa wondered quietly from her side of the stage, feeling bitter about the fanservice. “Hm? Oh, she’s approaching me~!” The bassist’s face suddenly lit up as she saw the vocalist make her way to her and extend her hand to fix her headpiece.
“And done,” Yukina turned around and went to Rinko and Ako’s side next. “Rinko, Ako, let me see yours too.”
Lisa’s cheerful face immediately dropped. “What the…? That was so quick! She only checked one side!”

During the ride home after the concert, Lisa was unusually quiet. Yukina, who sat next to her, noticed the odd behavior and silently wondered what was going through her best friend’s mind.
The taxi driver dropped them in front of their houses.
“Goodnight, Yukina! I’ll see you tomorrow,” the brunette waved to her neighbor while opening the house gate.
“Wait–” said Yukina.
Lisa paused in her tracks, “What’s up?”
“Do you want to tell me what’s going on with you?” said Yukina, wasting no breath.
“Eh…?”
“You’re not your usual self after our live show. I noticed how you spaced out during the entire ride back home.”
Despite Yukina’s gruff appearance, not many people knew there was a sweet side to her. People always saw her as this one intimidating vocalist, classmate, or senior. Not that Yukina put much effort into making that soft side of hers noticeable, though. And not that she cared much about what others thought of her, either.
“Ah… It’s nothing, ehehe. I’m fine.”
“There you go again, twirling your hair.”
It stunned Lisa to hear that coming from the other girl’s mouth, and she quickly dropped her habit. “Shit. She knows me too well.”
“Really, I’m fine–”
Yukina let out a sigh. “It’s fine if you don’t want to tell me, I can’t force you to do something uncomfortable. But it’s going to bother me knowing Lisa is not okay and I can’t do anything about it,” she said, looking down at the pavement. “Alright then. Goodnight, Lisa.” She then walked onto her porch.
Seeing Yukina look troubled over her pained Lisa’s heart.
“Wait!” The brunette paused briefly before forming a sentence and gathering her courage. She then inhaled, “I was jealous to see you get so close to Sayo when you fixed her headpiece on stage, and how the audience cheered for you two at that moment.” She spoke the truth quietly, almost a whisper.
“What am I even saying? She’s going to think I’m stupid for getting jealous over something trivial.”
The brunette suddenly felt something soft pressing on her left cheek.
“There. That should score higher than just fixing a headpiece, right?” said Yukina, gazing tenderly into Lisa’s olive green eyes after planting a kiss on her cheek.
After a few seconds, Lisa finally realized what had happened, and the redness on her face grew uncontrollably. “I-I-...”, she stuttered.
The next thing Lisa knew, she sensed warmth as a pair of delicate hands cupped her cheeks, and finally her lips met Yukina's. Her eyes grew wide, and her face felt as though it would burst into flames from how heated she became.
“Are you feeling better now?” Yukina says nonchalantly after parting her lips from Lisa.
“Wha– What is happening…?” Lisa places her fingers on her lips, trying to process the fact that her childhood friend just gave her a first kiss. Although it was sudden, she could feel the kiss was filled with sincerity and love.
Yukina, who noticed her best friend seemed astonished after the kiss, started to reflect on her spontaneous action. “I’m sorry… Did I cross the line?” Now she looked worried and embarrassed. The weight of her action suddenly clicked in her mind.
“No! No! You didn’t!” Lisa quickly dismissed it, reassuring Yukina. “It’s just that I was surprised to see you act that way… as you’re not usually… affectionate…” Lisa pulled her gaze away from Yukina. “Ah! Which, of course, isn’t wrong!” She continued, seemingly panicked.
“Haaa~ I’m totally hopeless. I wanted to tell her that it made me happy.”
The silver-haired girl smiled faintly. “When you said you were jealous, I thought something like this would cheer you up. I felt bad for making you jealous, so I tried to make up for it. But I didn’t consider the emotional impact it would have…” she said, looking flustered.
Lisa lets out a chuckle. “That’s so like you, Yukina.”
“Don’t make fun of me now.”
“I mean… how can I not? You’re just too cute~” Lisa gave a quick boop on Yukina’s nose.
“Stop it.”
“Hehe. Well, now that you stole my first kiss, you owe me a date☆!”
Yukina seemed to be surprised at first but smiled shortly after. “I suppose I do. I can’t just kiss you and leave you hanging,” she said. “Next Saturday?”
Lisa’s eyes glimmered with excitement. “Deal!”
With that settled, Lisa walked inside to her home with a wide smile plastered on her face. She leaned her back against the door and placed her fingertips on her lips, tracing them, “This girl…”, she smiled.
“As selfish as it sounds, I want to stay her number one forever.”
