They were all eating breakfast two days after Kaede's execution. Tenko was talking to Himiko, they had grown quite attached since they had been trapped. Kokichi was later than usual, he probably overslept. Then something chimed on the monitors. "Everyone head on over to the gym! Daddy has something prepared!" The monokubs ordered."We should go." Himiko told Tenko. She was still wondering where Kokichi was.
Fortunately, she didn't have to wonder for long, cause he was at the gym shortly after she and Tenko had arrived. Unfortunately, Monokuma announced a new motive.
"One of you has the Hanahaki disease! If you lived under a rock and don't know what that is, one of you made the fatal mistake of liking someone in a killing game. Now a flower is growing in their lungs! Cool, romantic, anyway they're going to die. I've sped up the process and whoever that is has less than a month. If they die, whoever they liked will be the blackened! "Monokuma explained.
Many people started panicking, some asking around to find out who had it. Kokichi was waiting to get questioned so he could leave.
" Ouma-kun, do you have the disease?"Shuichi asked him.
" No, why would I be dumb enough to fall in love with someone!? Maybe you have it, Saihara-Chan." Kokichi answered. He probably shouldn't have shouted. What he said was actually a lie.
" You're the only one I hadn't asked before this, are you sure?"
"Jeez, are you-" he stopped for just a second to swallow the blood in his mouth. "stupid?" he did a gesture and dragged out the 'u' to make it believable. "Someone must've lied! Anyway, I'm getting bored, so bye now!" He said before leaving.
