"So what are you gonna do, freak?" One of the older foxes jeered, crossing his arms as he looked down at Miles. "You gonna stay here and continue getting beat up, or are you gonna leave Emerald Hill forever?"
"Better choose soon, or we're gonna choose for you!" The other older fox said right after. "And trust me, staying is the worst thing you'll ever wanna do."
Miles backed himself into the wall, clutching his two tails in front of him. These bullies kept coming after him because of his mutation. He was scared to go out. He was scared to see the sun. He was scared to even acknowledge the fact that he had a second tail.
He froze up, simply shutting his eyes, unsure of what to do.
"Well, guess that's that!" One of the bullies shouted. "One knuckle sandwich, coming right up!"
Miles braced for impact. But it never came.
"Alright, tough guy, I think he's had enough." a raspy, female voice, spoke. "Leave him alone!" Whoever it was, she sounded enraged.
Miles opened his eyes, and in front of him, he saw someone he'd never seen before.
A blue pony, wearing a darker blue jacket and a pink-and-white striped skirt. Her rainbow mane sparkled in the sunlight, and she bore two wings on her back, both already flared up.
"Oh, yeah?" The second bully spoke up. "What are you gonna do, girly?"
The pony said nothing. Instead, she grabbed the bully in front of her and flew upwards, before spinning around and throwing him towards the other bully, knocking both of them unconscious. Miles was in awe. So in awe that he didn't notice the pony landing right in front of him. When he came to his senses, she was looking right at him.
"You okay?" she asked.
