My ever dearest Ava,
I don’t know why I’m doing this. You probably won’t be able to read this. I heard about the Missing Post Office in Awashima, Japan from a traveler I spoke with the other day. I thought I’d give it a try.
Ever since I helped you cross the portal, I’ve felt a void in my heart.
I’ve been traveling and seeing the world like you would have wanted us to. Everywhere I look and everything I do reminds me of you.
What I would give to have you by my side right now, Ava. I feel so lost without you, my Darling.
I should have said I love you when I first felt it. I should have kissed your lips and caressed your face with my fingers. I should have crossed over the portal with you.
So many I should-haves I should have done, but they’re not going to bring you back. I’m trying to find my way, but my heart and mind keep coming back to you. When will you return, my love?
