Nile looked up from the magazine she was reading.
Nile: "Is something burning?"
Joe: "It is my love for Nicky."
Nile looked over at the kitchen counter.
Nile: "Joe, you forgot the toast bread again. Were you thinking about Nicky?"
Joe nodded before quickly pulling out the power cord to the toaster and throwing the burned toast bread in the bin.
Joe: "Just so you know it, Nile. My love for Nicky will burn even longer than the burned toast bread did."
Nile rolled her eyes before disappearing behind her magazine, while Joe returned to cook breakfast.
Nile muttering to herself: "It's too early for romantic sentimentality."
Joe looked at Nile with the frying pan in his hand.
Joe: "Did you say something?"
Nile: "Uhm, no, not at all."
They both laughed before they agreed to eat breakfast at a nearby cafe, so Joe would land in trouble with Nicky for burning down his kitchen again.
