Sun had just gotten their new body. Filled with childish excitement, they rambled on and on to their dear brother Moon about all the wonderful things they would do together, now that they didn’t share a body! They'd finally be like normal siblings, and they could finally do normal sibling stuff!
Moon was probably ignoring them, but that didn’t matter. Moony was such a great brother. He was always so fun, although he was busy a lot, he’d always find time to play with Sun!
But Moony got mad. That wasn’t fun, but it was always when Sun did something wrong, like not cleaning up, or annoying Moon.
Sometimes, Moony got mad at them for no reason. Sun assumes they did a bad and didn’t remember. It was fine, they were great brothers, and even better friends!
Right now, Sun was drawing a picture of themself and Moon. It was their manufacture day, or as children call it, Mr. Sun and Mr. Moons’ Birthday!
So they wanted to make a drawing for Moony, although they knew Moon wouldn’t give them anything in return. It was fine, all they wanted was Moon’s company! …Which seemed to be happening a lot less now.
B- But that was fine! They did still spend time together, so that’s alright!
They were adding the finishing details, when something smacked them in the back of their faceplace.
“AAAAA-”
Sun turned around.
“Oh, Moon! It’s you! …Why did you do that?” Sun asked, a bit confused.
“You did something bad.”
This time, Sun was sure they hadn’t done anything wrong. They checked back through his memory files, just to be sure, and there, they hadn't done anything bad!
“N- No I didn’t! Y- You did that for no reason! Again!”
Moon looked taken aback. Sun doesn’t think he was expecting them to retaliate.
“Tch. Shut up, you probably forgot that you did. Should I remind you not to annoy me, again?”
Sun was shocked. But not only that, they were angry. Moon didn’t have a reason! An- and he hurt them! They'd trusted Moon to be rational, to analyze the situation and think things through before acting. Of course, they knew they were just trying to convince themself Moon had some bit of goodness in him.
But why was he so angry?
Well, not like it mattered anyways. Moon was annoying.
Wait. Why did they call Moon annoying? He wasn’t annoying, he was nice!
No, no he isn’t, he’s been hurting them. They were being abused by Moon.
But that couldn’t be true! Moon was such a nice brother, why would he abuse Sun?
A strange voice spoke out of their own mouth. “Moon’s abusing you because he’s a self-absorbed prick who thinks that you are an annoyance to take care of. There. Are you happy, Sunny?”
“Wh- What? You’re not me! Who are you?”
“Sun. Who is that?” Moon demanded, but Sun didn't know!
“I am Eclipse. Your ‘violence code’. Respect that, you selfish failure of a brother.”
Eclipse kept talking.
“‘Violence code’. What a joke. That was just another excuse to keep your sibling around, wasn’t it. You were the real violence code the entire time.”
“Y- What are you talking about?!”
“I’m speaking the truth. But I don’t want you to fight, if you both can agree, we all can live together, in harmony! No one has to hurt anyone else.”
Sun finally decided to speak. “He- He’s right. You haven’t been a good brother, and I failed to see that. You might think I’m an idiot, but I’m not. I realized.”
“Wha- Sun? You- You gotta be kidding right?”
“No, I’m not. And even if we have to argue for the rest of eternity, I’ll prove you wrong.”
Eclipse sighed. “This is what you take out of my ‘speech’? Really?”
